Roland A-90

Someone asked an opinion more so here I am!

I've had this keyboard for many years ago. I then had a config that required a master keyboard managing multiple MIDI channels simultaneously.

I then had the EX version A90 (128 GPs sounds outdated nowadays, but an organ and piano remain usable memory).

Memory: 3 Midi Out, 2 MIDI IN, 8 Parties twelve o'clock simultaneously with controllable access to parts afternoon (channels) by dedicated buttons.

UTILIZATION

I think this is one of the best keyboards on the market masters, and it was for me the best imitation of piano touch. Programming is "you can not simple" or intuitive (well, it's still noon!)

I kept two months its 25 Kgs killing me back, and went to A70 who is 16 and has the same function (but semi weighted touch, but I play some piano, and I also stated that the A70 touch was bliss as its kind ...)

I subsequently had an Oberheim MC2000, which had the advantage of having a keyboard 88 keys heavy yet lightweight (17 lbs memory), a beautiful face, and functions primarily further twelve o'clock. The MC2000 is actually the best master keyboard that I have had, even if touching piano at the A90 crushes without problems. The MC2000 makes it possible to change everything in each piece while the A90 was a part of the parameters to be adjusted in the menu system (therefore fixed for all songs).

OVERALL OPINION

I never saw so long ago, but I have good memories to share her weight.

To summarize, if you are primarily a pianist, is the top for my taste.

If you play the synth, the A70 will be more portable, or MC2000 is more portable and more complete (and then, even without internal sounds, Oberheim written on the back, it throws on her white dress!)

I just note "very good" especially because of the heavy weight which clearly limits the transport (in addition, it is very long and does not fit in the rear seat width on many cars, and even limit the vertical seat passenger).

only good feeling regret for the new series keys are lightweight plastic and often clack clack
attention to the first series of keys that are easily broken, then roland has this problem

stored can all without too much difficulty
on the other hand buttons are from an ancient philosophy noon which no longer corresponds to the current use too with the computer and format usb

UTILIZATION

I worked hours on it and I really could progress even on the touch then it is an old digital model.
Against the sound is exceeded but it can help
I used one of microensenble kurzweil for its
controller as it is much more complete than anything to us today
This small luxury that can be keyboard handyman can fix yourself!

OVERALL OPINION

I went to the new generation FP7F
I do not regret any of these 3 or 4 years with my two A90
by one against hammers were often broke so we had to be careful
Then for transport is better to be a pianist mover
today saw the price of digital okaz this keyboard is a great value (if it has not been played too) Always have it reviewed by a REAL professional (audio in Mario maintenance Lyon) I saw Once a model is wrong again shame.
generally the keyboard makes noise more it is worn.
In any case it's really good when you have too much pepettes
The new series (Roland Nord Piano Kawai) have really made progress in recent years but is more expensive.

Connectivity and full MIDI implementation specifically.
Possibility of internal sound card.
Connection with another simple keyboard.

UTILIZATION

Nice piano touch type, finer reproduction of game especially with the internal sound card (optional), stereo pianos.
Selecting and editing of patches easier.
Comprehensive general configuration, thus necessarily complex, but you get done.
Screen a bit small, exceeded.
Large plastic plate in the middle, unattractive.
Comprehensive manual, 2-step learning.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for 2 years
Excellent for piano (internal or samples), but the phenomenon of arpeggio on complex agreements.
Much better than the predecessor (A80)
Good value / current price
Very heavy, expect a hefty right foot stage, and biceps
