analog vintage

Crumar Multiman SPublished on 07/17/12 at 22:04
The Crumar Multiman S is like a hybrid , it is a analog synth and a sample library. All in one vintage style board, it has been around for a while now and people have been using it for many years. I still get a chance from time to time to get my hands on it and lay down some good melodies with all of the patches, some of the piano sound patches are really good, especially the brass. The brass is probably my favorite sounds that come on the Multiman S.

UTILIZATION

Its not exactly easy to use, but after you get the hang of the flow of the keyboard and get use to where everything on it is you will have no problems. If you are use to working with vintage gear then you will have no issues learning to use the Crumar Multiman S. I have never seen a manual for it, so im not sure how it is. But if someone still has the manual for it, then my hat goes off to them because most people wouldn’t still have a manual with a board this old. So if you purchase one, don’t expect to get a manual with it.

SOUNDS

The sounds are pretty good, like I said brass is my favorite. The brass patches sound unlike any other brass that I have heard on any piece of analog gear that I have used. It really is one of a kind brass and I have even sampled it and exported it in .wav format to use some of those patches when im on my computer at home.

OVERALL OPINION

Very good board, you will be thrilled if you can actually get our hands on one of them. They are hard to find because people just arent really selling them. I get to use a friends, I wish he would sell it to me.

I bought by favorite, and I'm still in the phase of wonder ... Great sound string ensemble + of + brass harpsichord and piano (a little less convincing those) and especially bass sound pretty huge addable left hand supporting your good agreements scoring well toned. I've never seen a synth like this: even without any effect or chorus, it's better than anything tablecloths I had before! (Analog, digital).
The sound is very distinctive string ensemble, of course after one likes or does not like ... So listen before you buy, but it is worth the trip, especially that side still really little! Device very endearing, really ...

UTILIZATION

More than easy! (Enfantin..).

Keyboard with little sound, touch not dynamic, not noon but with its very characteristic.
Little sound, a pitch rather random.

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, the basis of the synthesis there.
Very fun and very educational, in short a good first synth despite being very limited in ability.

SOUNDS

The pure analog.
Sounds with character then a strong point on that.
Special mention to the strings and brass.
(Sound coupled with cello strings doubled at the octave strings to make it sound terribly 80's, I love).

OVERALL OPINION

I had the opportunity to use a few days ago and I fell over the beast.

I had the opportunity to use a few days ago and I fell over the beast.
The machine has the type of sound used by Vangelis (the Apocalypse of animals for example).
In short its a very marked and it's a big positive.
