[NAMM] Boss completes its ME multi-effect series

The ME-80 is designed for guitar players in both live and studio conditions and you can take it anywhere, for it is powered with 6 AA batteries and external supply. The ME-80 is equipped with new stomps, which design allows for doubling the number of available footswitches compared to the previous models (8 in total). These stomps allows for easily access to the preset banks (36 memory slots) and individual effects.

On the ME-80, Boss gives you the choice between two operation modes: Manual when you want to use the pedal in Stompbox mode and Memory for switching between stored settings. The expression/volume pedal is still available on the right of the device and a USB audio/MIDI interface is included.

The ME-80 offers 8 effect categories that can be accessed simultaneously (overdrives, distortions, wah-wah, modulations, pitch, delays and more), each with multiple variations and you can use COSM amp models coming from the GT-100, which are completed with new Crunch and Metal programs as well as an AC Amp model for use with acoustic-electric guitars. Note that “multi-dimensional” effects are also present, for which Boss used the MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) technology already present on the Tera Echo pedal. You’ll also find a 38-second looper in the Delay section.

The Boss ME-80 ships with the free Tone Studio software for organizing and editing the sounds from your computer and connecting to the Boss Tone Central to download patches created by professional guitarists.
