I bought this card for its looks (a goes well with an iMac), for its reputable Intgr and its effects.
I finally I try, I get into the composition of an iMac 24 "with an e64 EMU, an Ensoniq TS10, a nylon line6 Variax guitar, bass, yamaha.

UTILIZATION

So here I bought this card dj 6 months ago, and trs quickly back to the store, I had that bug!
But when I repeated the same not having abandoned my FireOne, which worked great, for better sound and more of.

A week ago I have this card, and I am happy that finally, it works! And it works really well! The sound is excellent ... I really started realizing it, my ts10 synth sounds better through this card, the overall imaging is clearer and more prcis ... and then the DSP, I think There's really good.

UTILIZATION

Installation without problem. It was not until I run the install 2 times. Bizarre but hey nothing mchant. I directly install the latest drivers available on the website of TC. After installation, the branch and it works. Time to install: 2 minutes.
Need to be addressed a little while the software tracks but everything is clear is russi.
The manual is well done, no worries.
In Samplitude, a direct work, no worries.

Not too soon to give an opinion on the stability of drivers. However, information taken from version 1.3, the card works nickel. I expect this to be the same for me.

I did that yesterday. Purchase as new, has not fit in the budget that I m'tais fix. I could make the Konnekt 8 but not n'tait scroll and then she was only two exits.
The sound of this card is HUGE. Clair, prcis. It does not color the sound, it restores a fully usable by its effects, whatever they are. It's really his forte. In addition it is trs beautiful, and its aluminum housing trust. It's solid.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 months.
This interface is excellent! The establishment is ultra-simple, the rendering is just poustouflant, trs low latency, fully intuitive use (I have not even read the doc ...).
Before that, I went through the Eternal Audigy Platinum (no need to say more ..), I test a Roland and a MOTU last ultralite.Ce MODEL is the closest in terms of quality of pramps and converters, but the install, the signal routing and management of the interface is less intuitive than the TC Konnekt 24D.La is my opinion the best of his qualitprix CATEGORY I remade so that choice without hsiter! It's nice to be back with a compressor, EQ, reverb ... For those who say that the effects are gadgets ... I would like to see with what effects they turn in general! lol. I'm not saying that the effects are extraordinary, but they are very honorable, soft spot for the compressor, because of its ease of use and for "Assimilator" which can be utilile if used well.
Before, I had an Alesis Multimix firewire in here too ... so the stability of the pilots was beginning to get on my nervous system ... and as the preamp is well below.

Used with a Yamaha V O1 connected to the ADAT ports, 2 Focusrite Platinum Trackmaster on inputs 3 and 4 (for the sound) ... and sometimes I connect an external effect in 3-4 (or TC M 2000 LEXICON MPX 550) at the time of the mix.
The software used is Cubase 4.

OVERALL OPINION

Bought almost a year ago, I like more the sound of the preamp. I advise you to plug in microphones that do not require phantom power, I do not think it is very powerful ... I much prefer to use external power supplies phantom (those of my Focusrite 2). However, for dynamic microphones, it works very well. The ergonomics of the front seems very well designed, I love the feel of the pots!
The rear connections are a bit tight but with a little planning, it is doing.
The only other interface is used before a 6Tone LINE Port UX-2.
That, in my opinion, a very good product, good price / quality ratio.

I needed a good map in the semi-nomadic rack for live (keyboards), so no need 8 inputs / 8 outputs.

The Assimilator, which analyzes the legalization of a song for use on a project can be very useful and simple. Forcment, for a guy who knows about mastering it is a useless gadget, but for others it is one of the interface.

OVERALL OPINION

- I use it for one month and a half.

- What I like: the pramps stability, the effects, the standalone mode.
No default I think can be the number of entries (4), but I plan to buy a thing for Adat remdier the problem.

- Before I had a Hoontech I do not know what the PC. C'tait horrible. Prfre I avoid talking about it, I have trouble to find sleep and apptit.

Too much problem to install and then stability. Fvrier Purchased 2007, sold in June of the same round. This opinion is rdig in January 2008 and TC Electronic has not dvelopp stable drivers. Take users for beta testers is simply unacceptable. So far it thickens. My home operating systems were not stable at all. The computer does not really bear this sound card (what had already happened with another card that I returned). To acquire a modicum of stability, I can download a firmware + update an old driver.

I was barely able to register (cuts, drops outs). Drivers are updated fairly regularly I think. I think the latency was quite low, but the software supplied with (TC NEAR) did not give me any info and crashed and caused the whole system with him.

Listening from the computer was impossible. No sound.

Warning for those who want to buy the TC Impact Twin the same model in terms of components so short-lived potential

Used primarily on a Mac with Bootcamp (Windows Seven 64-bit) for FL Studio 9 and more rarely on OSX with Logic 9, I made a few shots with voice. I use regular DSP integrated (but not use live)

UTILIZATION

On Mac, it runs like a clock with very low latency.
On Windows, it's another story ... It depends. Latency is higher than in Logic (although reasonable) and sometimes my DAW (FL Studio) suddenly emits no sound (overload) and the card is full ("unable to stop this device ")
I then have to reboot or enable / disable the firewire controller in Device Manager)
However I do not want to throw stones on TC Electronic: My Windows is a 64 bit BootCamp partition and I do not know if there are possible causal relationship.
The drivers are no longer updated since this product has been replaced by the twin impact.

I use for almost two years and I'm happy. I love the DSP (C Fabric, Fabric R Assimilator) that make me seriously want to buy a Powercore.
However, I will soon buy a PC for free use Apple Bootcamp and it will test for the Konnekt 24D if I encounter the same concerns or drop out of saturation, I think I would change card unfortunately.

These small personal inconvenience does not affect the qualities of this card: It's like having a beautiful sports car. We always groan when transitioning to the pump but we are still happy to ride with.

Purchase for 2 reasons:
- Recording studio preproduction before
- Rehearsal at headphone with a rock band

I use you with a MacBook 2Ghz + 2GB Ram + Leopard (Firewire)

The drivers are stable (in 8 months, only 2 or 3 crashes).
Used with Logic Pro 8.

In preproduction recording session, I record each instrument.

In rehearsal, the entire group is plugged on the card, connected to Logic Pro 8:
- Low (with pedalboard) connected to input 1 + Plugin Wave Bass Amp Simulation & MarkStudio 1
- Electronic Drum connected with Addictive Drums midi

In rehearsal, it is possible to check in real time, with 4 simultaneous tracks and great sound

I've had it 8 months.
I had never tried before another model home.

The pros:

Problems start here. With my configuration, the drivers aren't reliable at all. The computer didn't support my sound card at all (it already happened to me with another sound card I had to return). To get a minimum stability, I had to download a firmware + an old driver update.
I could hardly record audio (lots of drop outs). I mean, the drivers are regularly updated. I guess the latency is short enough, but the software provided (TC Near) doesn't gave any info about it, it crashes and crashes the whole system.
Computer monitoring was not possible. No sound.
However, it was ok in standalone mode: I took advantage of the reverb quite a few years (very good quality).

No installation problems. Obvious compatibility problems. I strongly advise all HP Pavillion users against this product.
I think the sound card is a high-quality product but it is totally incompatible with my computer.

Overall opinion:
This sound card is useless considering I can only use it in standalone mode.
I would not buy it again. I'll buy a Mac because I'm fed up with compatibility problems.
