SOFTWARE DAW PLAYBACK will not detect S/PDIF 1-2

Hello!
I am currently running a Kemper system via SDPIF to the in and outs of my 6i6.
I hear everything fine through my monitors. No latency. Great tone and sound. But I cannot seem to get the Playback to detect it for Stream recording.
I am sure I am missing something so simple here but I have been at it for a while and was hoping someone could lead me in the right direction.
