Hi,

My Scarlett 18i8 (generation 1) keeps resetting to 44.1 sample rate.
I set it to 48 (or other higher settings) in the Scarlett mix control and hear a faint click as it sets.
All seems well, mix control shows the new sample rate even if I close it and reopen.
But then, if I play any source (Windows Medis Player, Propellerheads Reason, Reaper, Browsers, Resonic...anything) it resets back to 44.1kHz.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers but with no success.
I'm using USB2.

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and can offer any advice.

Thanks
SW

Hey,

As I hear / see windows audio settings is overriding your interface settings.

I believe you can solve this by setting the sample frequency in your windows audio settings

Quote from the net :

Right-click the Speaker icon in your system tray and click Playback devices.

Select your speaker, then click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.

Click the drop-down and it will show you the sample rate and bit depths options

Choose option and click apply then OK..

/quote

This sets windows to your desired frequency and will no longer try to change your interface settings... { if everything goes right}

Good luck and let us know if this worked
