Carl Martin Vintage Series Classic Chorus 2011

Analog Chorus, four settings: rate, speed, depth, level. Two switches, one for the bypass and one for the vibrato effect. The green LED is used to control the vibrato effect and the red bypass.
The casing is metal and seems very solid. It's very vintage with a nice color and is very classy on a pedalboard

UTILIZATION

The effect is very easy to adjust, they are basic settings found on any pedal. There is no manual but it is not necessary.
The highlight is that it is possible to activate the vibrato before activating the effect. Just then press the bypass switch when needed. Caution simply press the right button!

SOUND QUALITY

There is one negative point in the sound quality of this pedal: no vibrato, chorus is extremely quiet, a little too well. For a true vintage chorus, it is necessary to enable the vibrato effect. One might think at first that this pedal has two effects and the vibrato is an effect in itself. In fact, one wonders just why the brand has decided to ask two switches, while only one to turn the vibrato effect would have been sufficient. But after all, it does not change much and I will end perhaps find useful.
The chorus is excellent, the sound is warm, vintage (they do not lie) and the settings used to do a little what you want. One can easily use the chorus as a boost for the Level setting can significantly increase the overall volume. Personally, I set at 9 for an output level equal to the input level.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this pedal for a few days and I'm already happy. I hesitated a lot between it and the Neo-Electro Harmonix Clone (I tried the old Small Clone that I really loved) but I finally chose the Carl Martin for his many settings and its look. I'm not disappointed, that's exactly what I wanted.
Regarding the price, € 88 is a bit expensive but all the effects pedals are expensive when you want quality then I think the price / quality ratio is very correct. I would definitely do it again this choice!
