DigiTech DF7 Distortion Factory

The Digitech DF7 Distortion Factory is a guitar effects pedal that models seven different types of distortions. It has a ¼ inch input as well as two ¼ inch outputs – it can be powered by either a 9 volt battery or power supply. The Digitech DF7 isn’t in rack form as it is a stomp box.

UTILIZATION

Using the Digitech DF7 Distortion Factory is a fairly simple process and I can’t really see too many people having too much trouble with this pedal. The pedal has four knobs all together – three of which can control two separate parameters. The first knob to the left can control both level and has a low frequency EQ knob, while the next has a mid frequency level knob and a knob to set the frequency. The third knob can control both gain and high frequency and the last knob is to set the distortion mode, which there are seven to choose from. The manual is put together well and is good to have around so you know exactly what each of the seven modes are modeled after.

SOUND QUALITY

The sounds on the Digitech DF7 Distortion Factory are extremely varied, but I only find that a handful of the modes are really useful. Its certainly a nice feature to have so many different types of distortions in a single box, but I think because of my taste I only like a few of them. This being said, I can definitely see how this pedal would be a treasure to a player who would want endless types of distortions in one box – I just prefer to have different pedals for different sounds.

OVERALL OPINION

I’ve first used the Digitech DF7 Distortion Factory about a year ago and while I was pretty impressed with its versatility, it isn’t a pedal that I needed to have in my collection. It definitely has some good sounds on it and the price is really its best feature as it comes at an extremely low cost. I would recommend this pedal for beginner and intermediate players looking to get a nice distortion pedal with a lot of variation for a small price.

UTILIZATION

The config is pretty simple, but must dip the system because there are two rings on the buttons settings: level, medium, gain (except for the model).
Manual in English, is limited to a minimum. Too bad.
I used the pedals boss, this one comes close not bad (tough, finishing, etc.) but I find that to activate or turn off you still support it enough so it reacts, ca must be resolved but I still tried: p

SOUND QUALITY

Super efficient rendering effects for my taste although I was not a pro (since I play a year), I tried it with the stratum, not with my Les Paul I would do that later, I edit if necessary.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for an hour or two max but jsui already happy with my purchase especially for the price (139 €, I saw other ds store 200 or 240!). The top is that it "manages" more sounds, no need to take the lead with seven pedals, one is enough.

Before that I had the SD-1 just a boss, it makes a little change but not as far as I sell it (the sd-1!).

The value for money I look good, now is even with time, but in any case it's tough.

Distortion pedals - pedals diffrent 7 sounds are played, what equipment a full s'viter. Mtal pedals while giving a good impression of solidity. Power supply not included, I branch with multiple pedals on a Boss power supply (9v) with no problem.

UTILIZATION

I put the pedals a little ct until I download on the site digitech manual in French and everything changed. The manual gave me all the possibilities for discovering this little pedals. Only default, the switch to DIFFERENT MODELS of distortions is done by turning the right button which can be a little freestyle scne teachers and, it must be a small default!

SOUND QUALITY

Excellent effects, sounds totally DIFFERENT 7 distortions, the softer the most aggressive, everyone can find their account. That same magic when moving from a blues sound, quite soft, sound mtal harder with the same pedals. Another advantage of the pedals, from the multi-effects I possdais, it does not dnature the natural sound of the amp (Fender Hot Rod in my case), distortion blends perfectly with the sound the amp. If you want to spend time searching the rglages, the possibilities are immense. Only regret is all done manually and nothing is programmable. Personally I note the positions of the buttons diffrent rglages to locate sounds.

OVERALL OPINION

TRS is a good value quality price, seven pedals for the price of one. Trs solid and excellent sound distortion. I can only advise strongly and especially Tlcharger manual in French to really use it fully. I think I Tuva with the digitech distortion pedals I was looking for. I also possde the Big Muff and I almost tend prfrer the reproduction of the Big Muff Digitech original is an understatement. In résumé if you want a good distortion pedals, Do not hesitate, you add a flanger or a chorus and you perfect your team for all the sounds and without breaking the bank.

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, 3-band EQ (parametric mids on), gain and level
gripe: you can not register their pre-set for each sound (unlike the pod and related)
Moral: we play that tells the pedal point.
So on stage, is best know for its settings change rapidly if the need (it's a shame to propose both simulations and curb their use)
The battery replacement is easy but requires a touch pen or type of headphone jack, not necessarily at hand, attention

SOUND QUALITY

I do not know if the effects are realistic, I know little of the original
by against them are varied which offers a good range as needed (solo, rhythm, fuzzzzzzz ...)
that being said, there are quite a few distortion pedals soft, there is the tube screamer in the genre, the rest is rather Reche
on the other hand if you are looking for the REAL distortion, whatever the genre, you'll find your happiness

OVERALL OPINION

This is a great pedal, but it really works as such, not at all programmable
sounds good to reserves, even if a little rock
I find it a bit expensive in France, so I advise you thomann or company (I've had it for 80 euros ...)
