UTILIZATION

- Configuration Gnrale Is it easy? Overall, yes! When to get the sound you want is by the sensitivity of each. - The Publishing of sound effects or is it easy? Must find her bearings, as silent in his Dod p period "I assign the functions potentiometers exotic" ... Rglages 4: Payload: output level Mach speed of the effect (equivalent Speed / Rate on the pedals more conventional) Elevation: effect depth (equivalent depth on the pedals more classical) Thrust: resonant effect (equivalent resonance / feedback on the pedals classic) The "Payload" is a +, to the extent it is rare to rgler the output level an effect ... - The manual is clear and sufficient? ... You can find it here ( ftp://ftp.dod.com/pub/PDFs/Discontinued/FX747.pdf ) 5 pages, but enough!

SOUND QUALITY

- Effects are they effective, adaptable and sufficiently GPs? DEFINITIONS This pedal is aptly named. The sound is worthy of a big Boeing 747. The sound is full, dense, inflated blown It's magic The pedal is transparent once Unmark. No breath, no loss of volume, even contrary - with what instruments do you use? ESP MH400 -> Distortion -> Valbee - Which ones do you prfrez that hates you? lot of adjustments can get really sounds fantastic.

OVERALL OPINION

- For how long have you been using it? 6 months. - What is the specific feature you like best, the least? I love the sound that really puts a big slap. - Have you tried many other models before acqurir? I have a lot of crm flangers: BF2, BF3, Hashbrown Danelectro, Digitech X Series, Danelectro Psycho Flange and frankly, that is the real part. It's more than just a flanger, AC greatly embellishes her! I do not believe me spare, especially as it has become rare! I put around 10, because she is very very much ... In fact, it's not just me saying it ( https://www.judge-fredd.fr/spip.php?article402 ) - How do you report qualitprix? level quality award, for 'I have nothing wrong moment! - With the exprience, you do again this election? ... Yes Plutt 5 times that!

Tech. sheet

 • Manufacturer: DOD
 • Model: FX747 Supersonic Stereo Flange
 • Category: Flangers for Guitar
 • Added in our database on: 04/19/2005

The FX747 Supersonic Stereo Flange was introduced at the Summer 1996 NAMM meeting. Although it was largely based on the FX75-B's circuit (with an analog MN3007 BBD chip, but modified for the new "final series" chassis design), the FX747 did not immediately replace the FX75-B in DOD's lineup. Two cosmetic versions of the FX747 exist, with or without the "real" control names on the top row just above its control knobs. The FX747 was "discontinued" in early 1998 with the release of the final-series FX75C, but the two pedals appear to be identical in all but name.

 • Controls: Payload (Level), Mach (Speed), Altitude (Width), Thrust (Regen)
 • From the manual: "The FX747 Supersonic Stereo Flanger [sic] is DOD's newest answer to an old argument: "To flange or not to flange?" The FX747 Speed or MACH control has an extended range allowing it to flanger slower than any other flanger made. This allows you to play "into" the effect, rather than "with" the effect. Give your guitar or bass a full on, jet-like sound, or just take a spacey trip to the ozone."
 • Suggested retail price (1996): $119.95
 • Technical info:

 • Notable IC chips: one MN3007 analog BBD chip driven by a MN3101 clock generator/driver CMOS chip; four BA4558 dual op amps (one each apparently used as input and output buffers, one split between the Mach and Altitude controls, and one split between the Thrust and Payload controls)
 • Internal trim pots: unlike the FX75-B, the FX747 has no internal trim pots
 • Component-side circuitboard images: August 1996 November 1996
 • Related circuit: FX75C (early versions of the FX75C appear to have identical circuits), GFX75
