Simple enough, it's a power amp. When you're feeding a mono signal you can run it as a mono, dual mono set up.

Simple enough, it's a power amp. When you're feeding a mono signal you can run it as a mono, dual mono set up.
The fan speed kicks in when in Class A mode since the amp will run hotter.
I use this in my rack for either/and/or amplifying the Axe-Fx or loading my old Marshalls or my THD Flexi 50 down and then amplifying the line level signal. And of course when I use a wet/dry set up with my amps.
I usually run it either with THD ported 2x12 cabs with Celestion heritage Golds or G12H-65 or 4x12 with Greenbacks on top and Vintage 30 on bottom, or THD 4x12s with a X-pattern Classic Lead 80/Vintage 30 speakers.
SOUNDS
The base sound of this power amp is amazingly enough very much like running a pre-amp through the power stage of my fave old Marshall. Driven hard enough there will be enough grit to make even the staunchest purist happy.
Amazingly enough there are a few bells and whistles on this amp that make it a sonic gem.
You have in addition to the depth control that lets you adjust the how loose or tight the speaker is and how much bottom you sent into it actually a voicing switch that will extent the lower mids and top frequencies. The presence control will add dirt on the higher settings in addition to more top end like it does on an old Marshall.
The Class A/AB switch will also change the sound to a more harmonically rich sound, that feels different.
OVERALL OPINION
First of the power amp I had before was rated 90 watts with 6L6s and can't keep up with this. Actually the 50 watt per side is the Class A rating in A/B it's a 60 watter.
I've been using this power amp in my rack for years and it's very much one of the corner stones of my tone.

USE
Easy to use, I agree kinder_guano when he emphasizes the attention should be exercised by activating the standby but ... We could also liked finding Classified Led light for the stand-by in the dark that n is not easy to know where we are (my Peavey possessed him!)
Otherwise everything is simple, a screwdriver is required to change the impedances (4, 8 or 16) ...
NB: a pad "volume" accessible front lowers the preamp input level from 0 to -10 dB, allowing to maximize the potential of lamps: Great for urban guitarists playing in the apartment! This function allows a rich at reasonable volume levels.
SOUNDS
Yesh ... Indeed ... I'm not going to me again...…

SOUNDS
Yesh ... Indeed ... I'm not going to me again in defense of VHT but ...
It's been a while since I expect this Poweramp I finally purchased and received yesterday.
Impressive: I had a Peavey Classic 50/50 auparavavant (8 x EL84) the difference with the VHT is obvious ...
An incredible and harmonic depth in all directions along with a surgical precision; VHT spitting her watts in both of my V30 2x12 sublime ENGL my JMP1. It's plug & play, it sends immediately, presence and depth to 0 where I trifouillait with Peavey.
I still consider it as an excellent quality / price ratio with its precise and transparent, but the VHT is far ahead.
The different color settings allow the sound depending on the desired result: Class A / B the sound is deep and wide, adding the voicing it becomes enormous; Class A, the sound becomes slamming distos are sharper, I dare say more "modern".
Presence and voicing of the knobs are very effective, on my side I'm not used it, but it will certainly happen depending on the position of my cabinet and room acoustics where I play.
Clean sounds (which are not necessarily the highlight of my Marshall) become deep and warm, it is easier to make the sound cruncher qualifying its game with the peavey and distos are enormous ...
The voicing class A is the ultimate in terms of aggressiveness: distos already incredibly restored, but the voicing adds the right amount of bass and treble to take off the wallpaper in rhythmic play and provides additional accuracy when a solo.
NOTICE GLOBAL
I bought it without testing: I soundtrack few groups who had this Poweramp and was stunned by the sound rendering (I have seen a particular scratch with the preamp Valvulator GP3 + 2/50/2 + MPX G2 are sent in 2x 4x12 mesa ... é-nor-half ssime ...). Today I play a little Epiphone Les Paul equipped SD SH4 (but am on a draft instrument making house features wood Les Paul mahogany / maple / ebony I anticipate Gibson pickups) and the average quality we feel for violin making.
With a good instrument, poweramp is the guitar amp that Ferrari or Rolls are to the car.

UTILIZATION
Well, b'en again, Pm said it all! It's smart!
The manual of my Poweramp is 4 photocopies (black and white): front panel, rear panel, according to the lights, warranty. VHT and the sticker that goes. No need most is not a gas plant, it sounds right away.
Yep, the switch Class A / AB is next to the Standby must be a little careful.
Here, two features not found in consistently competitors, however, switch the class A / AB and a standby channel!
Detail not really catastrophic, but annoying hyper, fuses on the front who have generously stuffed the first months of use. I have a brand new electrical system and fully compliant with current standards. Secure an outlet and even an ass of Furman VHT. Despite that, I slammed a frightening number of fuses on the front (fast 500mA). They chattered about nothing, and completely random (power-on / off standby, etc.).. Finally, switch to the 630mA fast, and since then everything works perfectly. It's silly, but this kind of thing, it can really do doubt the reliability. It does nothing, with a fuse of higher value, everything is ok and no risk of electric shock / Poweramp degradation.
SOUNDS
I knew this Poweramp recent years have tried quite a few times. And even when I had a Mesa 2:90, which is still a sacred Poweramp, the VHT gave me the eye.
A range of sounds really thorough, if not the "neutral" than that (but full of dynamics) in Class A / B switches without enquiller, presence and depth to half way max, really nice colors to play with the knobs and switches.
In Class A (2x50W), full of dynamic amp barks, leaves naturally more acute, its really a characteristic, clean, crunch or saturated. Cleans the chattering, or metal Satus really interesting and usable.
In Class A / B (2x62w), the dynamic is still there, the sound becomes rounder, always clear and sharp, but less "angry". Engl E570 with a shovel and an Air Zone neck, I can get sounds jazzy and funk pretty slammin as preamp settings (and a config Air Zone / Tone Zone splitter).
In enquiller in the wake switch "voicing" and pushing the distortion, a big sound meùùùtal equally bad in class A, just a different grain. Low tension, a sharp sound. Bieng!
Note that the level switch avoids gallery as a donkey, low volume, to find the "sweet spot" on the volume knob, which is still super soft. In short, the level, no need to turn the volume knob hyper gradually around the 1 / 10 from scratch / volume too low to "ouch, way too strong!" .
By the way, a link explaining the difference in Class A / B / AB (http://lampes.pourlesnuls.free.fr/Principe/Principe.htm) to the excellent site of Jark (https://fr.audiofanzine.com / members / index%% 2C128430% 2Cidmembre 2Cmao 2C_jark.html%). That way, no need to ask me in MP ...
OVERALL OPINION
After trying a bunch of amps and Poweramp (bulk, Mesa 2:90 2:20 ET, and Marshall EL34 EL 84, Peavey Classic 50/50, Randall RT250, and I forget), I had to then took a Mesa 2:90, used for his stocky and its functionality.
While the Mesa 2:90 modes has "half" "deep" and "modern" (uniquement. ..) activated by footswitch or midiswitcher (not supplied), their counterparts in VHT can be activated only by push buttons / knobs. Finally handy.
But these features are not the "small" Mesa 2:20 2:50 ET. I do not even mention the case of Marshall EL34 ... nothing.
Finally, the Mesa was quite unmanageable 2:90 apart '(like the Engl Powerball ensuing ...). Yep, I went quickly to a large detached house + rehearsals in small groups apart 'Smurf / playing alone like an idiot.
A big change of gear was needed: something exploitable apart 'but that can also be used later in the group without PA.
After testing, the VHT 2/50/2 has imposed itself.
A grain excellent, excellent dynamics, the knobs progressive, a standby channel, usable as high-volume low, what more?
The "level" (low signal 10dB) has also, in addition to the exciting sound of VHT and other features, was a big engine to purchase. Yep, push the master without becoming dull or see tumble neighbors or the cops, it's huuuuge!
B'en now, addicted to VHT for Poweramp!

For each channel are made by the rglages,
3 potentiomtres:
Volume: uh jexplique not?
Prensence: boost the treble frquences
Depth: boost the serious frquences
2 switches:
Voicing: Boost the bottom frquences mdiums and acute (excellent for mtal)
Level: 10 dB dabaisser allows the incoming signal: Absolutely gnial, we can push back Lampl (ie lamps) without becoming dull and did not hear the police arrived because of daytime noise / night
Each channel has its stand-by (perfect for playing in mono: no risk of burn out the channel unused), a switch to choose between Class A and Class AB and its fuse.
Note also a fuse in the power cord gnral prs larrire that unlike the Mesa 20/20 dtach is therefore no problem with power gnrale Furman type.
Recess and the power button lights up in green gnral that when the VHT works.
The brand is very well ventilated thanks dune by a small fan larrire type PC and many arati (everywhere except in the rack and larrire o there is the fan) on chssis!
What honestly blame him? Not to be MIDI or Randall RT250 (https://fr.audiofanzine.com/produits/index% 2Cidproduit 2C35988.html%)? That would push the gourgandise its peak right?
Oh yes: you have to change lamps louvre unlike the Mesa, but because the lamps are being protected more stable and better!
So 10/10!
UTILIZATION
Yes trs OF USE simple because there are only good sounds
You just have to be careful when you plug limpdance his cabinet as always!
Only BMOL: the switch to select Class A / AB is just the cot Stand By (plus they are the same) as the so be careful not to plant switches!
- 1 for that!
The manual is clear and sufficient?
Aahhhh manual VHT
It is sublime: two A4 photocopies superbly clips top left! And attention, THE FIRST sil copy is in color you like, yes there is a little green logo on the VHT and also web links
Page 1 Retailer short the front page and the two rear faade: in fact there is no need for more (a short course on impdances may be)
Ps: there is a sticker with the VHT offered fabulous operating manual
So 9 / 10
SOUNDS
I think the power amp should all styles of music and all situations!
Indeed what japprcie cest quil can be forgotten or color the sound.
Also the Level function is REALLY good for, once the level in action we can push back the volume, the equivalent to push Mesa 1 / 4 or so. This gives a power amp is all exploitable low volume (record, play house etc.).
In fact jai had the VHT and Mesa set a few hours and then jai have made a comparison with my small cabinet Tweed VHT VHT GP3 and prampli.
The Mesa has a single sound with a fairly tempered characters (sound Mesa, quite dark) and lon can only vaguely with the presence modulate that parat less effective than the VHT.
The VHT it seems to me more neutral 0 Depth with and without the voicing (the Mesa did not so such functions compare like with like).
With the depth and voicing cest War: Welcome to the realm of mtal with big bass and superb precision.
Jai also feel that the VHT is more dynamic and harmonics out can be better also! The sound is much sharper, more prcis less runny and less dark than the Mesa!
The VHT has more control that can change the sound and power far more progressive: the Mesa you push a little scream ca! With the VHT, especially thanks the function level, it's true progressive and exploitable low volume.
Also I am less afraid to run in mono, which is much simpler and more explicit: they tell you that this volume cest Channel A or B and so it matches the rear from HP re: no on the Mesa indicationpour the nickel cramer EST
In short, the VHT is better if the conumme Mesa sounds good even when (especially not all that big nest mtal distortion).
OVERALL OPINION
I am the User since mid September, as the jai wait five months as the GP3 2/50/2 me ft delivered in 24 hours
I prfre:
The precision and transparency (or not) and versatility (Class A / AB) it is capable
Sounds mtal o it is widely suprieur the Mesa 20/20.
The Stand By per channel.
Level switch that allows the full performance of the lamps down the volume.
The dune's Manir gnral even if I dont that the Mesa Boogie 20/20 with only real point of comparison with my current config (guitars, baffle, prampli)
The only default: the proximity between Stand By and slecteur Class A / AB
Obviously this choice I would do!
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Note:</span> javoue not be so used Lampl in Class A! So I NEER not davis on pointLa only thing I can say cest quil are out of breath in this mode than in lautre!

To conclude the opinion of those who test Lont:
Batgrat that the test the GP3 & Mesa Boogie 20/20 TriAxis in Mesa, then returned for testing in the GP3 2/50/2:
So looking back, I found the GP3 really made better with 2/50/2 with the 20/20.
I think there is much more dynamic with the 2/50/2! SETTING THE The presence and depth have a rel impact and therefore can still be awesome sound thanks the power amp and it plutt cool, you can really refine your rglages as ca. The level is the magic button to get the big potato lamps at low volume is simply gnial! I, who wanted to play a config in my home studio and on without doing shit all and to send the sauce when I would do concerts I found my happiness!
In short, this is a killer rack!
When I hear the config GP3, 2/50/2 config and T / A, 20/20 is really the day and night! Cest crazy! Good at ca grain is normal, but in the dynamics is awesome!
I find the config T / A, 20/20 sounded small, hollow, without scale, then perhaps be that as the 2 / 90 had t tudi for the T / A's with this amp T / A is, but the full extent of what I heard, I am limited by the Mesa.
Myrddhin: That's it, I rcupr my VHT 2:50:2 and I made with RPET Premire yesterday. Well, it's a big killing this thing! Indeed, I have plenty to do with 50 watts!
Otherwise, compare my PV is the day and night. PV is more transparent with much less dynamic, while the fade is patator VHT. I leave the best mix is more prcis and suddenly I think I even need to use my eq.
So it's a great investment and price cards (twice for me) from the PV is completely justified.
The PV is an excellent qualitprix in fact the EL84 is not for mtal sizes, but more adapted a record blues / rock is going to say.
I leave the last word Nebuleyes my friend (who has since bought one):
You put crappy Dimebag Darrel, you fool, you electrified the virgin
2x50 watts Class A (cathode bias) and 2x62 watts in Class AB.
Precision of Gillou: "We must put the stand-by when changing class because of the blow is changed cblage lamps and how they work."
Rack 2 unitsdenviron 15 kilos, 33.4 cm deep for the rack in it but there are even two front grips that are less than 3cm and ventillo derrire which is well and add 3 4 millimtres.
Connections:
Mono input jack per channel format. The entrance to the Channel A sends the sound to the two channels. So even with a single prampli like VHT GP3 was the Stereo output of 2502.
Two speaker outputs with jack format slecteur rotary dimpdance (4, 8 or 16 ohms) per channel.
<img border="0" alt="" /> (Http://img250.imageshack.us/my.php?image=facearrirevht25021iw.jpg)
I do not mean the fan blows Obviously <img class="smiley" src="/images/audiofanzine/interface/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt="" />
