The Nanoweb HD Light strings are the result of the association between Elixir and Andy Powers from Taylor Guitars. Powers wanted to create a customized string set that could generate more harmonics, a wider spectrum and an improved definition in the bass range for the new Taylor Grand Concert and Grand Auditorium guitars (see this news).
The result is a unique set, named HD Light, that blends Elixir light- and medium-gauge strings with a custom .025 gauge third string (a standard light-gauge G string is a .024; the medium is a .026). The specific gauging is: .013, .017, .025, .032, .042, .053.
This new series is available in both Phosphor Bronze and 80/20 versions. Their prices are identical to the standard Phosphor Bronze and 80/20 currently available.
