Real McCoy Custom Wizard Wah

Once again...you don't need a manual or any know how. If you have a foot you can work this thing. Easy enough?

SOUND QUALITY

I have tried a lot of wahs. I have 2 favorites. That would be the RMC Wizard and the Fulltone deluxe wah. Both are pretty expensive and both are pretty amazing. But I have to say they are very different. Obviously the Fulltone has more options and knobs, but at the end of the day, that doesn't mean much. Just a bit more versatile. The Wizard is a much more traditional wah in sound and design. It has that vintage jimi dunlop thing going on very heavily. If you want that old fashioned 70's wah this is probably the best pedal to get. Period. The Fulltone has a much more refined sound. Also, the Fulltone has a bit more range I think. It's a more aggressive sweep than the Wizard. I've heard there's a pot inside the Wizard you can adjust to give it a more drastic travel but I haven't felt the need to try it.

I'll give you an idea of what the Wizard is for. In my prog rock and classic rock projects, I use it almost exclusively. For modern stuff and heavier rock I use the fulltone. I think the Wizard is a lot more organic sounding too. It has a life to it that really wakes up a guitar. The Wizard doesn't affect the tone as heavily either. Some guys I know will appreciate this.

OVERALL OPINION

This is a really bare bones wah for the traditionalist player. No tricks or frills. If I could only own a single wah I would probably have the fulltone instead but that's only because it's more changeable as far as sounds go. For the guys wanting that time machine wah, nothing beats the RMC. The quality is nothing to laugh at either. You pay for it and you get it. I haven't tried many other RMC wahs but from what I've heard they are all very good. My advice is try as many as you can. If you're in this price range you should do that anyway.

Vox Wahwah format (or Cry Baby to your preference)

UTILIZATION

Flaw in my taste, the pedal is too soft and lacking in shopping, I prefer Morley.
Anyway despite that it is effective and takes up the block if you want a mid race to keep a filter effect.

SOUND QUALITY

This wah is designed as an original Vox suited to large modern distos, and my lambs eaten, unlike a Vox Cry or that will tend to go hand down on the media, it's clean and efficient.

SOUND QUALITY

Typ sound very vintage.
I use it with an Epiphone LP 100 and that's why I choisiu the wizzard that offers a lighter grain on double coils. Indeed, the RMC saturates quickly because it gives a lot of fishing to the sound. The whole being to find the right balance entrre the wah wah, amp and guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

I finally found a wah that sounds like I wanted. it is well worth over 200 euros but if I had to buy one that will no doubt this one. I think a wah really a personal instrument and it takes up to try to find one that suits us best, for my part, it's on, it's CMJ. Ingala sound in all my records play (rock, blues, funk, metal, jazz ...). Finally a wah with character!
The only drawback (if it is) is to have an action a little soft. Indeed, the mechanical being very flexible, it is difficult at first to completely control the clarity of sound and the magnitude of the effect.

It's a wah wah simple, optional input and output and a socket for the power supply. Technology to the old, analog. OVERALL OPINION

This is one of my favorite pedals although I do not control very well. It delivers a pure warm sound and expressive sound of the guitar is not "reduced" as a Dunlop, quite the contrary. For 180 euros (model expo in pedal - new 220 euros) is the best value for money considering that RMC Wah wah makes the best of the market. all handmade.
