Best value:
Excellent
Cheap condenser mic that I use mainly for voice.
Requires phantom power supply +48 V
Sensitive frequency range is very wide, very severe to acute at certain frequencies without holes.
Comes with hanger very practical to set the mic and with a leatherette pouch cheap.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it since last Christmas, it has revolutionized my little personal records.
For example, (I take this opportunity to make my ads) will listen to what happens in my tracks: http://www.jamendo.com/fr/album/29713
The only mics I've tried before are the Shure SM58, a Studio Project B1, AKG SolidTube. Well APEX 435 is greater than the SM58 in the studio and it has little to envy in the studio project. Obviously, it does not heat SolidTube which earned him 900 euros.
For the price I am delighted. What I get out I'm satisfied. I glue on my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra and the dynamics are already excellent preamps with Octane.
I also used the microphone to the sound distorted metal transplanted from my guitar amp. Ben the result is excellent too. Coupled with a micro second, it really makes a big sound!
A choice ... I already said that I have no regrets. Besides, I keep it, I'll buy just a small preamp (presonus probably) to warm up my catch.
I will redeem this microphone if I broke this one. But I do not buy it a second, probably another reference to another brand instead, to have a different color.
Speaking of "broken". a gust of wind sent the window on the mic and did everything fell, microphone stand and microphone. And although he survived the shock, the capsule, luckily did not suffer.
Prospective buyers, DARK HEADS DOWN. SURE VALUE!

Off topic: @ rapko => Prevents Ultragain MIC 100 is the wrong cam, buy yourself a decent audio interface (M-Audio MobilePre USB, Fast Track Ultra 66 or Edirol FA ...)
