I acquired this interface five years ago.
Midi interface attractive because inexpensive, but ...
I've had setbacks:
- After experiencing delays in recording / playback noon, I had to activate the latency compensation Midi Cubase
- The interface seems to saturate when you use too much midi track at a time! delays, ghost notes, etc..
- The interface is no longer detected on my Windows installation and it's not a problem for drivers, since it is supposed to register as a standard USB type device whose driver is already present in Windows. However, it remains as unknown device in Windows (XP, Vista), when the icon appear deign well! and it's not a problem with USB ports or power of the latter.

I advise you rather to refer you to a real professional brands. Prodipe seems very bad master this type of interface and rest of the mainstream media.

Bought last month, used 2 weeks time she kidding.

Purchased for the price of curiosity.

I had an M-Audio midisport4x4, I tried to make them live together for 8 ports. You bet Charles! Given the great drivers that do not walk alone is already a job. And I know you love all go rummaging through your files system to debug something to snitch before you dive into your music ... No? Well me either.

Value for money? It's cheap, and worth nothing.

But I'm going to note you my config:

Nord Micro Modular 2 => 2PORT each (an editor and a midi) Sending data continuously.
4 BAR various Jomox, TR505-606-707 in sync, Clock and Timecode. Receive data only.
2Multi effects, Yamaha SPX 900 and Ensoniq DP4. Receive data only, some in SysEx.
2 kenton pro solo with two analog behind (system 100, SH101).

Connection, launch Cubase, read => ok
Live recording => latency over a second
Arrival of the sysex => Crash of prodipe.
Reboot.
Cubase => Reading => Crash.
Reboot.
Prodipe not detected.
Reinstalling drivers => a device has malfunctioned.
Reboot.
Prodipe detected.
Prodipe longer detected.
Prodipe re-detected.
Launch Cubase.
Reading.
Crash.
Disconnecting half the machines.
Reboot.
Cubase => Reading => ok
Registration ok
Sysex => crash.
Divorce, assault on neighboring cardiac arrest.
Opening of the living room window.
Ejecting Prodipe by the said window.
Buying a Motu five channels.
More problems.

My dealer told me I was the third to bring him in prodipe SAV (on sale for a month at home).

What technical specifications motivated your choice?
A housing 4 in / 4 out very cheap to connect my PC each instrument.

For what purpose?
Before I plugged in my X5D To Host (RS 232), and I have 2 sound card with each 1i1o MIDI and a joystick port. So I had the same total number 4i4o, but can not spend my config in a notebook.
Other lment search: the ability to switch the output between 4 THROUGH 1. I like to play on my clavinova (keyboard heavy sensation piano) but I'm using right now a lot arranger Korg PA-500 -> I fly from the arranger clavinova without needing to launch Cubase and company. It's more like spontaneous approach.

What is your config (motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard ,...)?
Before: P4 3GHz, 2 GB RAM, DD 2x250Go, CS EMU 0404 Cubase Essential 4.5
Now: Laptop Compaq CQ-60 AMD, 2GB RAM, Cubase LE DD250Go

Which instruments or the Systmes do you use? ...
Clavinova, X5D Korg, Roland U110, Roland U220, Korg PA-500, Korg D3200

The drivers are stable?
No need for additional drivers are the Friv Intgr XP.
I have not met the same concerns the use of several hours.
I noticed that if I turn on my PC before clavinova (ie before the power to the interface), I bridled at the MIDI plug clavinova. I must say that my clavinova send MIDI messages (which?) Permanent.
I just worry the rsolve squenant ignition devices: in one the PC, 2, 3 4 5 and other equipment in the last clavinova -> more worries.

No, but I do not know what it is to saturate a midi interface. I had no problem individuals.

Bizarerie with clavinova according to the firing order (rsolu)

What is the particular feature you like best and least? Not switch on / off, no driver dedi, big problem: the first live test with no problem, I live stimulus: more midi out, having bought two, I try again with another and even topo, the first time everything works nickel, 2nd time out after noon, several trials, live and cubase, nothing to do .. more when we want to pass the midi out port of the same preferences in a DirectMusic live plant ....
Have you tried many other models before acqurir? Not, from the in / out of my axiom and uc33
How do you report qualitprix? He looked good but the problem out of the south let me say that this is not reliable at all

I use it for two days
this is my first midi interface

first moment of use, I plug all my cables, I set my editors, I'm doing a test and nothing works, I galley 20 minutes to finally noticed that the cables were not sufficiently embedded in the connections of the interface!
is believed to be a stop but did not must be forced to properly connect the cables!


interface allows me to manage, configure and manage sysex of my DX7 IID well as my other synths
any compatibility issues either in cubase or publishers, no drivers to install, I just had to plug the USB port and it was recognized directly in my editors and Cubase, everything works with no lag niquel
I have not tried to overload the box, yet at the same two sequenced synths any gst bug
in view of the other opinion I think he fell on a good show .. at least I hope .. or maybe it was just a history of false contacts!
in + simple interface and compact
in - apart from the made in china I see nothing listed behind
for the price it's all good, in time to see what happens
