The Axiom A.I.R. Series’ name is derived from both the M-Audio Axiom product line and from A.I.R. Music Technology.

Each Axiom A.I.R. controller has its own characteristics, giving musicians a choice between four music creation solutions designed to be optimized for different creative preferences. The Axiom A.I.R. Mini 32 features 32 velocity-sensitive mini keys, eight trigger pads and assignable knobs; the Axiom A.I.R. 25 is a hybrid keyboard/pad controller, with 16 backlit drum pads, illuminated knobs and synth-action keys; the Axiom A.I.R. 49 provides control over a DAW for musicians with an expanded layout of long-throw faders, illuminated buttons, backlit pads and 49 synth-action keys; and the Axiom A.I.R. 61 delivers the same expanded features as the Axiom A.I.R. 49 but with 61 keys featuring TruTouch semi-weighted action.

Each Axiom A.I.R. controller will come with Ignite software.

Availability:

The Axiom A.I.R. Series will be available from musical instrument retailers in mid-October of this year. M-Audio will unveil the Axiom A.I.R. Mini 32 at booth# 800 at the 2012 Summer NAMM show in Nashville, Tennessee from July 12–14.

Please forgive my perhaps sardonic astonishment of YET *another* midi controller!! It's akin to a Country with many outstanding debts deciding to revisit the moon again, rather than developing new propulsion technologies to take us farther; in this case, M-Audio's EPIC FAILURE with the Venom VA Synth, so going right back to develping more midi controllers. WOW, this *must* mean that Novation must have yet ANOTHER new ground-shattering release of AUTOMAP-5.103 that comes with your own trained monkey to make sure you have the midi out going to the midi in!!!!
