I just bought a Rocktron Midi Mate, had it shipped from the USA, plugged it into my Triaxis using a Rocktron 7-pin Midi cable and supplied phantom power (9VAC) using a Pedal Power AC into the Triaxis. Turned it on and everything just worked!
Awesome unit that is perfect for my needs. BUT part of the LED display doesn't work properly (out of the box) which definitely took away the buzz of buying a new unit. Now I need to shell out $60 to mail the unit back for a replacement, or put up with a faulty display. There was nothing wrong with the packaging (padded boxes inside padded boxes) so I can only suspect the unit probably wasn't properly factory tested on the production line in China.
First Rocktron product I have ever bought. What's the quality generally like? I searched the net and couldn't find much in the way of problems.

I used my Midimate during four years of intense and for the scene (2-4 representation week).
The conditions were difficult (humidity, sand, dust). Despite this the pedals into shock. Just midday taken a little fragile.
Robust and reliable buttons (that often what is missing in this type of product).

After these four years of difficult treatment is definitely failed, but I do not put in the machine default, because the conditions were sometimes more than limit.
I'm looking for another Midimate because its very easy to use, the obvious programming, perfect ergonomics (weight and size limited) and accessibility feet do for me today the best foot control noon to u guitarist making a lot of live.

Midi pedal relatively compact (50x14), robust, inspiring strength.
I find her look very nice, even if it is a detail.
No expression pedal, but the possibility of adding via the jack on the back of the unit ...
The red is very visible.

The buttons are small round white rubber. I thought they would be less convenient than large switches the Behringer or Roland, but no ... they snap right from the time you press correctly!

Discovering the "Midi" via the Xpression pedal and I'm not too struggled to start. Well designed and full manual (already said!), Available in French on the website.

I think this is a good pedal to start at home and rehearsals.
Its price is really good ... occaz a hundred €!
I sold it recently because I did not have great utility. If I had adventures redeem a Midi pedal, I think I would resume, after I inquired about other models anyway ...

What is so special that you love the most, least? The compact, 7-pin port for phantom power. on the other hand I would have preferred metal switches, as the pro pedal, and a second jack for expression pedal, and switches bank up / down dedicated. We must tap dance to switch banks in the score and the contact with the rubber switches, is never 100% safe, at least if one plays the guitar at the same time, we do not forccément the foot completely safe. hence sometimes misfire when changing sounds in concert.

The price / quality ratio is good for the price that I paid I would do this choice. the phantom power is really handy (no power supply on stage, it is plugged into the Axe Fx) and I do not see myself carrying something big like the Behringer FCB1010 Boss or FC200. I would have preferred a kind pedal Liquid Foot or last Rocktron Junior, with more than enough switches and expression pedals but the prices of such pedals are difficult to justify in my case. For 400 euros or more I'd rather take my guitar parts

I use to control a head Midimate Diezel Hagen and a pedal Eventide TimeFactor.

The general operation, including the method with 5 PCs and 5 CC is very good and allows (line) to control almost any rig. The trouble in my case: CC buttons are not momentary, and it is not adjustable. So, it is impossible to use it correctly to deal with a tap tempo or any device that works with DC momentary, as ... the TimeFactor: (

This is something to know for future buyers, which is not necessarily clear in the manual.

Another worry for some reason the title of the first preset always starts with "___", even after renaming. So "Clean" becomes "___an". Either it is not serious, but it's there. I also had two concerns when a midi channels, which are all ironed off by themselves.

Otherwise, the Midimate seems solid, the rubber buttons are quite nice.

In short, overall a good pedal, but the story of DC and small bugs that I may have to replace it soon.

The Rocktron Midimate v2 is a midi pedal that I tried after using the one by Behringer. The Rockton Midimate is a good midi pedal with 128 presets and can be synced up in a heart beat. You will have no problems with this midi pedal. The manual that comes with it is very easy to understand, I actually lost my manual so I contacted them and they emailed me a digital version of the manual. I just wanted it on hand just in case I needed it or if I sold it I would want to be able to put the manual with it.

This unit in general is as well built as the Behringer midi pedals. It actually seems to be not very well put together. In the few months that I used it I never had any problems with it though. But just doesn’t seem to be as solidly built as I like my gear. I need my gear to be able to take a beaten because I travel a lot and take my gear all over the place and it will have to take some bangs and bumps.

Keep in mind that the Rocktron Midimante needs phantom power though. Either from a source that you already have with your interface or you will need to purchase some phantom power. I didn’t have that end mind when I got this. The Rockton Midimate has 12 banks and each bank has up to maybe 15 presets if I am remembering correctly. There are also 10 switches. The unit itself isn’t that big itself so its very easy to lug around.

Overall, its not bad. I just prefer the Behringer Midi pedals over this one just because I feel like it’s a better deal for the money and its built stronger. Though there is nothing wrong with this one at all, Rocktron has created a very affordable midi pedal that you will love. Give it a shot! But trust me you will like the Behringer mdi pedal better.

Prefs, activation / deactivation of real-time effects, 130 presets displayed by number and by name! YES! we can give them a name (8 characters) that glows in the dark! Too much!

A MIDI OUT only, but is 7-pin! So I can connect to my Triaxis using a phantom power! AWESOME! Even a cable and a power strip less!

An outlet for expression pedal type EV-5 (or Rocktron HEX), a power supply socket '(which is not me!).

Otherwise, b'en is also built like a tank!

B'en here, I had the silly idea to buy me another MIDI pedal to control my VAMP2 ... Behringer FCB1010 a bo. I'm trying to get rid of the Behringer, which, again, is far too complex and too full of features I never use MIDI. It is too big and it weighs a dead donkey, the 1010.

In short, I restored my old Midimate 1.0 (red and black) to drive the VAMP2, and I always use my Midimate 2.0 (white and black) with my rack. Still nothing better in ease of use (real plug and play), lightness (though robust, Heiniger!), And features twelve o'clock basic right for me (changing preset, on / off of an effect or a parameter, preset name display on the pedals).

I have a few weeks and I am dja trs intensive use because I used to swing the samples in my group.
Frankly I have nothing to say about this thing. I hsit between Behringer Midi Mate and FB. Rsultat races: a compact pedalboard trs, strong and lightweight especially ... but legeeer (I remember that my old FB claviriste carrying his suitcase with a wheel)
The small BMOL would be for people who want an expression pedal in addition, it is still necessary dbourser. but it's not really me.

I put a 9 / 10 as the default one small that I found is that it requires some practice to press the buttons 5 to 10 who are above the others. but as I say it's a habit chopper

I use it for a few days to fly an Intellifex On-Line.
I tried that this model, but its reputation and the fact that availing oneself of Dj effects Rocktron acqurir pushed me.

Features I like: simplicity robustness any proof, look nice, intuitive operation, phantom power using a MIDI cable 7 / 7 between pdalier and Intellifex (on which branch is a second power supply), edition possible for each preset ...

The quality award? If it is still running state in 20 years, I would say the case of the century! I hte attack the scene with this gear!

At first sight I thought the switches were poor quality but I haven't had a problem up to now.

Some might miss an expression pedal. But I believe it's an advantage because that way you can freely choose an external expression pedal.
