Kinda ugly

Jackson JJ4 Scott IanPublished on 11/04/11 at 15:22
This is probably one of the uglier models that they released, in my opinion. The pinstriping is supposed to look like an old school hotrod, I guess. The body shape and overall looks I just can't really get over, but it had a few good points about it that I'm sure others would absolutely love. The guitar has what I believe is a mahogany body, a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets with dot inlays, a hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, one volume, a kill switch and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

The guitar has what I believe is a mahogany body, a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets with dot inlays, a hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, one volume, a kill switch and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

The first thing I noticed about this guitar was the pinstriping. I used to be in the business of assisting with that kind of thing, and I can't say it was the best job in the world. Still, considering that it's just a guitar, it's probably good enough. The guitar was a bit heavy, and I'm not a fan of super heavy guitars. It was probably in the 8lb range, which I felt was a bit much for this size. The neck shape was fairly comfortable, but I can get along with pretty much any neck shape out there. The frets were decent, but they weren't anything too spectacular. The ends were a bit sharp, and I wasn't able to get super low action, but like I said, it was decent.

SOUNDS

The guitar had a Seymour Duncan Invader in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan JB in the neck. The Invader in the bridge is a super powerful bridge pickup that has lots of bass. It's a bit too fizzy for me, and I find that it lacks clarity. Some bands can use it with great success (Nile comes to mind), but I never got along with it. It's pretty much only a metal pickup, and it can't do other genres real well. The JB in the neck is a bit rare, and you don't see it too often. It's a high output neck pickup, and it can be a bit bitey. It's nice for those 80s style shred leads, but it can be a bit hard to get a nice, smooth tone for legato and sweeping. It's good, but there are better pickups out there, in my opinion.

OVERALL OPINION

The guitar is decent in terms of quality, but there are better guitars out there. There are also a lot of guitars out there that aren't nearly as ugly as this. Maybe I'm just prejudice against the way this looks, but I couldn't really dig it. I'm sure other people can, though. You can get these real cheap, but they can be hard to sell.

So that's the least of all Jackson Jackson ... At least in form! It is small and round, says frankly lespaul a special or roxane.
22 round boxes, jumbo frets
The original pickups are duncan design humbuckers, by means of Seymour "cheap", they drool a bit but sound good even if I gave them their prfr years Seymour Duncan SH4 and SH2. Slecteur a classic three position, a volume knob and a button gadget that allows you to mute the sound when pressed, it's funny but not 5 minutes when the music remains as down (his shot noise Submitted trs trs mass and ugly just to be heard, as a result I did replaced by a knob of Tone which acts on the two microphones and the splitter that allows both,...…

the bridge is beautiful, the strings are guides in the body of the guitar, has given a small harp and ct can itches worse on this part of the strings and made sounds great psychdliques , proper assembly of strings (the rear) is taking a shot but it's so much good as a bo

UTILIZATION

The grip is nice, good balance, not heavy, not too lgre, the handle is really good, a mix between a super race profiles jackson and the roundness of that of a gibson. Well it is vague, we will not say trs wide, but provided no pais no DCON is great, not far from that of my lag.
fasteners for the strap trs are good because large, no need to add attachments espces supplmentaires, nan APRS really good sixty concerts with sweaty dcrochage not.
It is great and it stressed the agreement for the guitar of this price (I bought it in 2002 4990fr I think). I put a strong pull (my bass string is a BMOL R) of 009 to 058 and the handle does not move, I rgl good for any occasion fawn.

SOUNDS

Sound: This is the important part, it is low or medium severe, in fact, a lot of depth in the same micro acute position intermdiaire wholesale crunch is terrible. This guitar sounds great and on any amp (well it's true that I have a few changes but the sound that made me buy it). I said that Duncan Design drooled a little, but only c relative to their year mark because otherwise the fact is really big sound good right now and register any and all microphone positions are good, versatile sound trs. However, I have not a small problem isolation, the sound of mass limina not fully here and I play hard but it is true.
FYI I head a branch of HK Triamp MKII coming out of a marshall 1960 cabinet TV, and a beautiful Park with me (laughs).

OVERALL OPINION

Goodies: form and design is very simple irrsistible bo yourself with a stick really comfortable and enjoyable (to the end even if it is screwed), microphones that are the road for such a price dpart, a big fat rock sound full of serious, trs its hot, not really jackson;

Cons: Noise mass sold without tui fly-box (have to steal it) blue button gadget pa bo

I love this one because it scratches the trs trs rich and big with a good distortion (long live the Seymours owl), I find sexy particulirement (trsfminines forms), and I really like the acqurir MODEL above the range of JJ2 (for quality manufacturing requires that the price).
If you are looking for a guitar-looking rock, with a big sound, original, not CHRE trs (because you do rvez that luxury and gibson) JJ4 this is a great alternative.

(This content has been automatically translated from French)
The jackson JJ4 is a Japanese guitar neck 22 frets with a screw type fixed bridge "tune-o-matic" a through-string.

The body has a shape close to the lag roxane, a les paul DC, and obviously a washburn scott ian signature, which is his illegitimate sister, if I may say so.

THE JJ4 is the "cheap" series JJ. His mache is screwed. mics are better on high-end versions, but the back of the neck is the JJ4 varnish (with a good satin) and not painted like some guitars, I prefer personal (I hate sleeves with thick varnish or painted, like Gibson!).

The pickups are Duncan Designed 2 doubles (against the "real" duncan on expensive models)

There is on mine a volume knob a classic 3 position pickups selector and tone potentiometer apparently not home that replaced the "kill switch" home.

The maple neck with rosewood fingerboard is the most special I've experienced. not slim like the rest of the production jackson, on the contrary it is quite pronounced in V, as specified by Scott "Ian" Rosenfeld, the riffeur of Anthrax

Particles is very nice to play but in the end. Difficult to iron on something else after.

UTILIZATION

The neck is the most singular that I tested, but in the end we made it great, and we can not do without it!!

ACCESS Augis is pretty good, but because of the joint body / neck, the version splus dear need to do better on the field.
Ergonomics is simply great. Ian Scott is making a MLEC the scene and this signature model is made to play up. Light and well balanced, it is worn around the neck like a jewel;)

The sound is at once a very good level thanks to the DUNCAN, even if they are cheap Duncans, they are still rather compelling.

SOUNDS

The great strength of JJ4 is its versatility, it works wonders on lots of styles: jazz (yes, really) blues rock edgy, while it will almost

I played on a laney GC120C which gives a very clear sound just jazzy, very nice. After for large distortions, it is doing better than many since it was designed for this at the base!

I have a personal weakness for the neck pickup, which better highlights the grave.

The only weak point of mine is the bridge pickup has a relatively low output level, but I think it's a problem of setting.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year already, and that's the first time I saw "oh how cute she is," because unlike the picture that illustrates this article, mine is painted midnight blue sequined very succeeded with a simple logo jackson on the head.

The special feature I like: almost everything: body shape, sustain (thank you traversing the strings) the sound and the handle so special and highly addictive.

the least: on mine, the varnish of the handle was too fragile sueuer attacked by the previous owner, once the back of the neck (light) has a beautiful blue trace not

I tested quite a few models before you buy, but I must admit that I bought on a whim (actually I was looking for an amp) because it was a thunderbolt.

I have not paid a fortune (less than € 200) and suddenly, it's a steal, I would do without hesitation
