UTILIZATION

Strangely, it is expected settings very complex when you consider all the capabilities of the beast, well NO!!

The effects can be placed exactly where you want in the chaining effect.
Ability to output sound only on your speaker, only the direct outputs (ideal for studio recording in silence where live, directly from the PA and need speaker on stage! Digital magic). This can of course choose to balance the sound AND the speaker (or speakers because you can connect to 4 simultaneously) AND direct output!
Live can control everything via the footswitch Line 6 making a gain considerable space on stage. SOUNDS

Suitable for ANY style of music. It emulates Marshall, Vox, Orange, Mesa Boogie, Diezel, Engl, Bogner, Soldano, Hiwatt, ... whatever the style of music, your sound is always there!
I did a test with my head Mesa Rectifier head and Line 6 emulation Dual Rectifier on the same settings, same speaker, the result is impressive, I have more grain Mesa on Line 6 on the Mesa same!
It sets all parameters and SURPRISE! Line 6 offers four general settings that affect the sound output as follows: Volume (yes, you say happily, but some amps are not equipped ...), adjusting treble and bass adjustment reverb! All this is very practical depending on where you play, you keep your settings and you just make a small adjustment for THE SOUND PERFECT!

Its upgraded to a Vetta II, so it has every tone imaginable, it sounds amazing, and its effin LOUD...

The Fact that it has two L.E.D. screens that are breakable and stuffing this head in the back of a tour trailer isnt the best thing for it.

It is made to last, plain and simple

If you are just looking for more possibilities in an amp and dont want to have to hook up millions of pedals and such, this is what you are looking for.

I bought the Vetta Head and cab at guitar center during the last green tag sale. The cab was $600, and i got the head for $1000. I bought it because of all teh built in effects and i needed a new amp.

It has more effects than i know waht to do with it. It sounds beutiful and makes you feel a hundred times better at guitar. It has plenty of power, and it looks cooler than any otehr half stack. It makes you want to pick your guitar and never put it down.

There is very little i dont like about it. I dont like the fact the i dont own the floor board to control it with my feet yet, but i will get that soon. One downfall maybe that you have to put of the volume a considerable amount for the effects to come out to their fullest, so it doesnt sound that perfect when you are playing late at night with the volume low, but it still sounds great.

It seems to be made very well. Its heavy, stirdy, solid, and feel unbreakable. The only part that you want to be careful about are the small led screens that tell you the info and setting. It would suck if you cracked one and had a big black spot, but besides that I think its unbreakable.

If you need a new amp, but a line 6 vetta. They are more fun than anything i have ever played on, on you will get a lot better becasue it will make you want to play more and more.

I bought my Vetta Head at Sam Ash on my Sam Ash credit card. Mainly because I was looking for the sound that I wasn't getting through the other amps that I had. I wanted to be able to create whatever sounds I wanted, and I am in a band that plays all styles of music from acoustic to metal to punk to funk. And of course I bought it because (SA) was having their 15 months No Payment No Interest, which is a Rockin' deal! I paid $1599.00 for the head and $399.00 for the foot pedal.

It is THEE greatest piece of equipment ever created in the music world. I love the versatility, being able to use two amps at once is great but whats even greater is having the best amps ever created in the Vetta, to use at my own will! WOW, you talk about a "Make A Person Dream" machine, its the Vetta. You can tell the guitarists in the crowd because of the puddle of drewl in front of them.

The only thing that I dont like about this system, is that it is very tempermental in extreme weather. I really cant complain too much about this tho, cuz every amp does the same thing!

It's made to be taken care of, like a computer. It's not quite a "Peavey" in ruggedness, but the sound of this machine is truly amazing! Its definitely a high tech look, lots of lights...and when you turn the amp on the floorboard looks like Christmas lights, "Pretty!"

This is the "Holy Grail" of all amps, and the Vetta really does go up to "11". Its loud, versatile, in-expensive (compared to buying even 1/10th of the amps in it), upgradable :O), constant tweaking (which for some is bad, but it lets me creat My own sound not someone elses), and last but not least its limitless possibilities makes this amp irresistable!

UTILIZATION

This amp is soooooooo deep, it's not even funny. It can be made to sound like nearly any guitar-type sound one can think of. Long effects chains with 4 different delays, or quirky synthesizery 70s music, or just good ol' hard rock solos - this amp can do it all. The manual is very clear at explaining all the functionality of the amp, and while the amp is very easy to figure out (not a terribly steep learning curve), I'd still recommend downloading the manual from Line 6's website if you don't get one with your purchase. If you don't have a Floorboard pedal for the amp, this is a requirement for full enjoyment of the Vetta. There are so many fun things to do with this amp!

SOUNDS

This excels in both quantity and quality. There are 80 amp models to be used, and all of them are great sounding for the style. Metal tones sound great for metal, jazz for jazz, etc. There's not a stinker in the whole bunch. The effects are out of this world as well! I liked to make long delay chains and create ambient textures ala Robert Fripp.

OVERALL OPINION

This amp is great, especially for the price they can be acquired for now. It weighs a lot for what it is, and some of them have strange durability issues - a friend of mine had a Vetta that would randomly change volume a bit during use, but mine never did that. Cosmetically, this thing looks very stupid - I did some cosmetic mods so it wouldn't look so cartoony and cheesy. But it still is neat to look over and see all the lights blinking as if one was controlling a spaceship! Overall, this is a good buy, but test thoroughly before purchase to ensure not getting a stinker with volume issues.

In summary:
- Amplification 200W transistor (it's really an understatement!) Which is actually a dual 100W (AC so moved that I have yet to exceed 15% of the volume without risking deafness!)
- A guitar input jack 6.35,
- Several simulation output mic / line ... but no headphone!
- Multi-effects processor (in fact it is the same as the PODxt) further comprising an amplifier simulator (very realistic) and a variety of high quality effects (no kidding ...).

The Fender sounds a little weak, but it was also the case on my previous Marshall Valvestate 100 (it should be upgraded with the humbucker). The Ibanez sounds super pro, however - and this is not the only guitar I think.
The distorted sounds of trash can cover the most powerful in the most crunch blues - ca depend mostly on the guitar.
The clean sounds are pretty awesome too: the amp simulator works great.

In short it is absolutely the top.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the beast for 3 months. I hesitated with the Vetto Combo (100W), much cheaper but has the same mechanics. The HD with much more power - for those who have tried the combo it must be heard to be believed - I opted for the latter. I play with a Line 6 Cab 4 * 12 (412S-T 300W) that I produced an incredible bass response.
I tried the multi rocktron effect, but I found it too synthetic. In addition I would have had to pay me a stereo power amp as well, which would cost the same. I chose the Vetta HD and I do not really regret it. The price is high, I still paid the € 3400 for the HD, the cab and pedal but the investment is well worth it (the wallet).
