A knob for FX x8!
Published on 09/22/12 at 00:40 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Installing RAS, used within Ableton Live Suite 8 or Cubase SX3.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
It runs as it should and little more hungry!
OVERALL OPINION
It's been three months sk I use.
I like the side effects for a knob with the possibility to configure many different settings on the simple rotation of the latter. And have 8 different hand.
A very good multi effect that I would resume without hesitation!
Ps: Izotope Stutter Edit with a complement, you will reach the nirvana of Fx!Read moreInstalling RAS, used within Ableton Live Suite 8 or Cubase SX3.

Perfect addition to any live dj/remix style set
Published on 12/06/11 at 09:28I run this in Ableton 8 on a Macbook Pro with a RME Fireface 800 and I have had zero compatibility issues. I have yet to look at the manual. I watched a few youtube videos about this plugin before I got it and they summed up the plugins ability quite nicely. Yes, the configuration is very simple. Instantiate it on any audio track/buss and (in my case) assign the 8 knobs and two faders to your midi controller and its instant remix chaos. They did a great job on the GUI making everything accessible within one to two mouse clicks. Basically you get your "control" screen that shows all the effects and a wet/dry knob for each. SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I have had no crashes or glitches so far with this plugin. Whats even better is it replaced several other plugins I was using so it actually reduced my cpu foot print, which is HUGE for us "laptop" musicians. I have to give this unit a 10 out of 10. It requires little cpu but brings a lot to the table. I have been using it for about a month now for my live performance mainly.
OVERALL OPINION
What I like most about this unit is in addition to wet/dry knobs on each effect and for the whole unit as well, you get something called the "Dictator." Which is essentially a sequencer with a little twist for all the effects. The little twist is that instead of a "time Line" like you would fine on most sequencers, you instead have a window that you draw in areas that have each or all of the effects activated. You then use the Dictator fader to scan over those drawn in areas. In a nutshell, its like a very specific and editable wet/dry knob itself. So far, there is nothing I don't like about this plugin. $179 seems like a lot these days for an effect plugin, but it is really more like 8+ plugins in 1 and with the dictator, it truly is unique. I was apprehensive at first but now I am very happy about the price and the quality. I have been using Stutter Edit, Artillery 2 and Effectrix. This plugin has replaced Artillery 2 and several other plugins. Yes, I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to DJ's and Loop/Remix based musicians.See less10 - chupachups
Very good!

ditto for the code of "registration" - (which is rare with other softwares from other companies that is pushing for the dongle, or for registration via the web).
Manuel? ARRF not seen and at the same time, not really necessary, the graphical interface is intuitive enough for me.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I have a mac book pro, ie5, 4gig of RAM ...
any concern for perf, my gauge performance in Ableton Live 8.2.2 increases of 5% each instance (an instance turnado includes 8 effects!) is very correct.
No bug at the moment (this is only a week I use it)

OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a week and I'm very happy. Well, I have ableton live and what kind of tool exists on Ableton (macro, effects, etc.) .. Just as you have to go live ableotn departing time to set up macros and effects. I confess I do not have time (or time) for it .. turnado and gives me the same thing more quickly.
The effects in general are good, I like everything that is handling the vocoder and BEAT that passes through a beat or a synth makes a completely new sound!
live (what I try to do a night) and well I am not disappointed .. it is true that this plugin is made for live
biensur, all the effects are not the best in the world but honestly well balanced, well configured, I'm having and the rendering is good ...

ADD-ON: I forgot to mention that when it goes into effect for each edition, we retourve a series of functions and buttons are easy to use, always the same (so that you can program his akai mpk25 worry-free!), some functions such as random or better, the X-fade is really nice .. good short a useful tool in shortSee less10
