[NAMM] Waves Abbey Road Reel ADT plug-in
Waves unveils at the NAMM Show 2014 a new plug-in designed in partnership with the Abbey Road Studios that simulates the ADT effect.
According to the first information provided by Waves, the Abbey Road Reel ADT plug-in allows for emulating the Automatic Double Tracking that was tested by the Beatles, among others, in the iconic London Studios.
The ADT technique uses two tape machines with which two versions of the same signal are played simultaneously, and then slightly oscillate the speed of the second tape to simulate two separate takes.
In the Abbey Road ADT plug-in, you can emulate this doubled signal to generate delay effects and pitch variations. You can also apply a saturation to each signal independently and control the classic wow and flutter settings.
