Electro-Harmonix OD Glove

We are dealing here with a "real" distortion of EHX (rather accustomed to fuzz and overdrive fat enough), so it is a fairly clean distortion, which does not bleed, but with a gain level even when quite big (not understand metal but good big hard rock) flew lyrics to Blackmore and Gary Moore welcome.
An internal setting determines if the pedal receives 9 or 18V, for more or less compressed sound and suitable for the guitar (I personally prefer to 18v mode) while feeding tjs standard 9v.
Otherwise, as dab, Volume, Tone, Gain and small switch tone.

UTILIZATION

RAS very simple.
You just adjust the volume according to the amount of gain and tone switch (as often).

SOUND QUALITY

The distortion is responsive to the dynamics and volume knob on the guitar (a good point) and virtually no wind (2nd good point!) As I said in the title, I find it more suitable for lead playing (solo) that rhythm, although obviously it fonctionen well in all cases. It also has a nice reserve volume, significant for those spineless boost their sound, when a solo for example.
Overall the pedal has a pretty color "dark" which makes it more suitable for guitar and amp rather "bright", otherwise it will not hesitate to push the knob in tone about 3/4.

OVERALL OPINION

A good product (as often with EHX), the very decent price compared to its issued for those who want a nice lead distortion, but not high gain, which responds to the dynamics and guitar volume.
