The Korg D4 is a four track digital recording device with some pretty simple effects that are built into it. Its not really a pocket recording device though. Its just too big to carry in your pocket, but if you have a book bag or a larger purse you can certainly carry it around with you. You can record two tracks at a time, its sort of like having a multitrack recorder with you wherever you go. All of the info is stored on a CF card because it has no built in hard drive to safe stuff on which I think is a downfall. It should have atleast some sort of a small built in memory so you can save stuff on it, most similar devices do have one but this one doesn’t.
The interface of the Korg D4 is the selling point, there really isn’t anything going on that you cant see right from looking at the front of the device. Forget all of the submenus that most devices have because they arent in the Korg D4. You can also plug in a footswitch and use it to be a trigger. With the style of effects that it has is mainly for a guitar player though, if I would have known that before purchasing I wouldn’t have gotten it, I am not a guitar player at all. Which is why I ended up reselling it back to the store because I kept it longer than 90 days and could get a full refund.

But the Korg D4 has the must an solo buttons that you ned to really get to work on it, if you are a guitarist this is perfect for you to be able to record almost anywhere. It has everything that you need, But like I said keep in my it’s a flash memory card. So if you don’t have one of those you will need to get one or this device will be useless for you.

I bought this little gem of technology 1 month ago, and I can tell you right now that I have for my money!
It has a micro Intgr trs good quality of the effects are terrible (even with an acoustic, it can feel to play with a distortion noooooorrrme: D), the handling is super easy, and with dozens of songs I made, I have not even explored the possibilities offered by this Half of the wonder.

if you're a musician who wants to register with a sound that borders on pro quality, good prices, you've got not much room in your pad, you want to take several instrumentals (drums, scratching, singing, gimbarde, harmonica, synth etc etc) achte immediately, you will not! promise!!

Beginners bought in June 2006, I worked until then PC (5 / 6 years).
I bought this little bote as a family member had made the acquisition of a Boss BR1200CD. I have immediately t convinced by the power of this type of hardware and especially not s' tangled brushes when recording instruments with the cables ... and various branchments more than complicated.
What a shock first is the size of the unit, no bigger that a Casing of DVD. But once you find yourself branch when even a bit lost with all these combinations of buttons. But thanks to the manual it s' comes out pretty well but must be concentrated and re-test manipulations to draw something, I blame the manual that is not enough to tutorials for some functions but hey, is s not 'arrter the top. For use, that is incredible opportunities that we can draw.
I have not hsit 2 seconds on the purchase of hardware, before I 'd test the Boss BR1200 CD that I found too "full" and certainly not the same price. But saying that a player / CD burner I 'have one on my PC so no need to have duplicates, a hard drive ... o has the speed bin fails to do not tempt me, and have flopped effects on the boss don 'interresting not because I' had everything else in my multi-effects SPECIFICATIONS my guitar. So naturally my choice s is the little port on the allentours of jewelry that my 300 has got the best quality / price.

I use it in less then a week to catch keyboard + vocals sound.
Elementals recording functions are very easy to implement and does not ncessite particulires knowledge.
The catch of the trs are really good, both by the internal microphone (execptionnelle quality) with an XLR microphone. Line entries can have CD quality sound as long as nla source is good.
THE BULK OF PB KORG D4 Semple is that it be able to play the cards of 2GB as stated in the manual: I learned my dpends.
I have not tried other models because the requirements of rpond my moments.
The ratio Q / P is not too bad if we make the exeption bp card reader 2GB.
I regret that KORG is not information on this site because of the bp reading for recordings of two hours or more with two tracks simultanne, seulles a large capacity card can afford.
I recommend this purchase, however no points.
