Extensive connectivity options for this type of amp. Good construction but small details to finish again. Made in China.

SOUNDS

Bought to scrape home without getting back to the whole building and to save a few ideas without having to plug anything (except the line out). So I needed something that would send unpretentious of saturation. And what I have.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 weeks and I was quite happy BUT it p * cking amp comes WITHOUT POWER! And on this, I really feel that Orange has taken me for a fool: Indeed, this amp works with two 9V battery and comes with ... two 9V batteries. It is for you to buy a power supply (because it is well known that all guitarists who buy Orange have the habit of playing in the metro and food, well, it is necessarily an Option ... ). This 18V power do not run the streets compared to a 9V power and minimum price in a famous German mail order trading is 20 € + 10 € Delivery. Hey this is a review for the new CR6S Stereo Micro Crush Pix by Orange amplifiers. It is a lean, mean, not green, but orange rather, fighting machine.

I write a guitar blog and was offered the amp by Orange to check out. Have someone mail you an amp to crank up for a few days? Certainly! Brand new these are $89.

It's compact. It is 6 watts of power into 2 4 inch speakers. It has a built in tuner, strap buttons on the side and an aux input with adjustable volume knob to allow you to rock out to your favorite tunes. It also has a headphone jack and a line out.

Since it is a tiny, tiny amp the box or speakers really cannot product a ton of power. The amp really shines as a solo go anywhere practice amp or it is also a ton of fun to mic up.

There is a power supply available but of course that is sold separately. That is sort of a bummer.

The amp is covered in the classic orange tolex and tan basket weave grill cloth that Orange amplifiers are known for. It's lightweight, probably no more than 4 pounds. It can be powered by 2 nine volt batteries or a separate 18 volt power supply.

Bottom line is this amp if fun. Don't expect to rip down walls, but it makes a great practice tool.

This might be one of the most amazing inventions in our time. The lunch box amps have been such a huge hit over the last few years that many more manufacturers are starting to catch onto the hype. orange has put out several small ad portable amps, but this one might be the easiest best features and most usable tone that Orange has had.

This thing is so easy to use and communicate with that is doesn't take a genius to figure out. It have four control knobs and one of them is for the Aux input which means it allows you to tailor the volume of you CD player or MP3 to better match you ow guitar volume. That is a great little feature that I haven't seen before on other similar size amps.

SOUNDS

I have to say that the tone on this amp is remarkable! It is very creamy and thick that you wouldn't expect on a small solid state amp like this. It is noticeably a Orange distortion tone as well. Definitely British is flavor but all Orange.

I like this amp with any guitar. This amp is meant to be a practice amp and just god for polishing up your guitar skills, the bonus is that it sounds great!. If I had to pick a guitar it would be a Fender Stratocaster or a Charvel Socal or San Dimas. Something with a medium to low body wood ton wise like an ash or alder.

OVERALL OPINION

The nice thing about this amp is all you need is your guitar and some head phones if you are playing silently. This amp has a built in tuner, but no effects so you need to sap a delay in front in you need something like that.

At new these amps come in at around $90 which is a steal in my opinion. Great price for a stereo mini lunch ox amp that sounds fantastic. I like when you want to jam to your favorite song using your ipod and or you just want to hide away in your office and jam quietly.
