EXTRAS:
On each slice, there are three switches (48V, LoCut & Reverse Phase), 3 LEDs (48V, Clip & Signal) & well Obviously knob Gain a race which is soft & rgulire (not Crant.
There on the right, a little switch that lets you enable / reset the LEDS maintains Clip (also very practical !!!).
There is a direct output per channel.
The Eating is external, so no cable to get into the 220 Rack prs any cables microphone! The transformer also seems to me an excellent bill!

Cons:
What I miss most about this machine is simply a PAD attnuation of -10 or-20dB on each preamp ... I am drummer & o ds now my game is a bit "appuyquot;, even with gains in the kids, I can not plug in or my snare (SM57 microphone SHURE, BETA 57 AKG C2000B &), or my hi-hats (micro RODE NT5) since these Over-Load the preamps. (o my rating: 7 / 10)

It also lacks an output WordClock viterait that, when you do not have a clock gnrateur ddi to use a T to connect a slave device deuxime on the recorder "master" (in my case, my PC).

UTILIZATION

The use is on-ne-be simpler!
The manual that I used to activate the "CLIP HOLD" that keeps the LED Clip ...

SOUND QUALITY

S / N ratio really excellent!
No staining my ears ... & That's what I was looking for!
For the price, great!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months now and what I regret most is the lack of PADs attnuation of the preamps ...
Otherwise, everything is perfect I got!

Trs qualitprix good value (less than 1000 at least ...)

With my little exprience, I would do this choice ... but needing more of, I do not have a 2nd complterai OctaMic D, but with a similar product with him attnuation of PADs, or at least, gains input are less levs position mini!

It's been a while but at first I was using it often, was to complement the inputs of a digital table that I was filling that live so rarely ...

I tried some preamp and I bought it blindly on the advice of a friend tester for a magazine.

Its transparency is very significant because the AC (s) makes them very versatile

At first I felt it was expensive and with hindsight and more experience, I think the price is very correct with respect to sound quality.
The average second hand price is (for now) 1149 € or + / - 140 € / for a  preamp this is reasonable compared to an AVALON ...
