I got this guitar at the Guitar Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, I traded in my PRS Tremonti SE and my Digitech RP300A then paid the difference.

I wasn't sure what guitar I wanted, but after playing the C-1 Elite, I knew this was the axe for me.

The body is what first attracted me. If a Stratocaster and Ibanez RG were to have a love child, it would look like the C-1 Elite. The entire body, neck, and headstock are bound with abalone, so it's nice and shiny. It also has a one piece neck which feels awesome. 24 jumbo frets for all the notes you'll ever need.

Seymour Duncan pickups in the neck and bridge sound nice. The neck pickup gives off a nice clean sound and the bridge pickup is metal heaven.

The guitar isn't all that heavy, so it's never a burden to stand for long periods of time while playing.

Also, the Grover machineheads and string thru body give perfect tuning. I've had this guitar for a week and it's still perfectly tuned.

I love this guitar so much, but I do have two problems with it.

The body is so glossy that it picks up fingerprints very easily. I wipe it down after every session.

It only has one volume and one tone knob. It's just a little annoying to have to adjust your volume when you switch pickups.

Sturdy as a rock. The Grover machineheads rock, the neck is one piece so it feels like a glove to your hand and it plays ultra fast. I've been shredding on this baby without a hitch.

The hardware is also excellent, the silver is still as shiny as the day I bought it, and there is ZERO crackling when I adjust the volume, tone, and pickup selector.

Some people say you must play a Gibson or American Series Fender to have a great sound, this is not true. Schecter makes excellent guitars and the C-1 can hold it's own in any club or on any stage.

I purchased this guitar at Guitar Center in Columbus, Ohio for $629.00 and that included the tax. I initially stopped in just to look around and had no intention of making a major purchase. Besides, the wife was with me so it would be difficult to grab it with out her finding out! But to be honest, if it wasnt for her, I wouldnt have got it for Christmas. She actually talked me into buying this guitar because she "thought it was pretty"!
Thats important to her, and all that really matters in her eyes as far as guitars go. I told her the Gretsch White Pelican was very pretty but that didnt work. So, now it was back to the Schecter!
Not having ever played a Schecter, naturally I had to check it out. I had heard of Schecter guitars, but had not seen any in the local shops that I usually go to.

This guitar is excellent quality in every aspect for the money. The abalone inlay work around the top front of the body, up both sides of the playing surface on the rosewood neck and headstock is very classy. The weight is just right, and the set neck is slim and comfortable. This guitar is Transparent Amber with a curly type of wood grain pattern on the front. The backside is darker amber and matches the neck. The Body is mahogany and the neck is maple. It has gold finish hardware with Grover tuners and Seymore Dunkin Humbucker style pick ups. The neck has easy access right up to the 24th fret, for those incredible lead solo moments when the oppertunity arises, and you get on your knees and slide to the front of the stage in a fit of wild hysteria
pressing the limits of the guitar to its ultimate glory!

The only negitive comment I have is the location of the pick up switch. While it is very easy to flip while playing, if it is in the up position, it can accidently be flipped to the middle position if you are doing heavy rhythm parts. However, that could be considered a plus for a lead player. Unfortunatly, Im not exactly a great lead guitarist, which is why the location of this switch somewhat bothers me as mainly a rhythem player. However,I was willing to live with this considering everything else about the guitar.

This guitar is built rock solid in my opinion. It seems to be virtually flawless in craftmanship, and the finish is very consistant and high gloss, comparable to an Epiphone Les Paul. The feel of the neck is incredible, and stays in tune very well even after heavy rhythm parts and lots of string bending leads. The strings go through the body to the backside,and the set neck is contoured to the backside rather than just straight cut.

This guitar sounds great, very clean and clear, yet able to really rock through a good amp with lots of low end power on the lower strings. This guitar to me is comparable in quality to guitars costing over $1000 and has convinced me that Schecter guitars are built with pride and truly a must have for any guitar collection. My next solid body guitar will definetly be a SCHECTER,...and yours should be too!

I was at guitar center a few nights alot, where they were having on of their hugh sales.I tried several different guitars.A C-1+ C-1 classic and a few Epipiphone LP's.For the money this was perfect.I paid $450 for it.

I currently have an Ibanez GAX70 with a duncan distortion in the bridge.I love it, its great for low tunings C#'s and B's.But I was in the market for a slightly better quialty playing guitar.I Always have been in love with schecter's necks(only guitar i find thats better than ibanez's)But never have found one that sounded good stock.At first a was a bit unsure about it, but I gave schecter one last go with this.And believe me, I'm converted back to loving schecter's.The tone is smooth,clear but not muddy.Flip on the distortion and its simply makes you want to cry.The neck like i said is amazing.Anyone who plays rock,metal or punk should try the C-1 elite or other higher end models of schecter.It has the quality of a $1000 guitar for less.Thanks schecter!

Excellent craftsmanship. For under a $1000 even Ibanez can not touch it.The neck is solid.Lightwieght but good sustain.Beautiful finish and inlays.All around a well made guitar that I would gig with, with out a doubt.

Awsome axe.If you're thinking about this one.Stop now and go buy it.I promise you'll fall in love with it.

I bought the Schecter C-1 Elite from Guitar Center about four months ago for $537. I felt a bit slimed by the guys at GC and wouldn't purchase from them again, merely use them for price comparison and bargaining. I would however go out and get a C-1 Elite again.

I absolutely love this guitar. I'm not a great player, but this guitar makes me feel like one. I owned a cheap Epiphone when I was in high school that was difficult to play and sounded awful. It turned me off, and eventually I lost interest in playing. When I picked up the Schecter, I knew that I was hooked again. The neck feels great in my hand, and the shape of the body feels great against my strumming arm. The humbucker pickups sound great through my Peavey Classic 30 - fat and warm.

I ditched the strings that came with it immediately - they are almost worthless. As others have mentioned, it's shiny as all heck, and prints up pretty quickly.

It seems solidly built. When I tried other C-1 Elites in the store, there were some that had very dusty volume controls - scratchy, you know. Also, I wouldn't buy the ones that have the gold tone to the pickups and tuning knobs. One that sat in GC for a few weeks quickly lost its nice gold tone - cheap plating, I guess. My chrome pickups are still as gorgeous as the day I purchased it.

If you like an electric with a Les Paul style of neck, without the immense heft of an original LP, this is a great alternative. The inexpensive overseas manufacture, allows for some high quality parts and details at an affordable price.

I have been interested in several of Schecter's guitars for a while now. They are beautiful and sound great. I bought the guitar from Texas Music Emporium. ( Across the street from Guitar Center North in Houston ) These guys are really cool. They beat everyones price by far and gave better service. I PAID $ 499 FOR A BRAND NEW SCHECTER C-1 ELITE! How could I pass that up? Sorry everybody, but don't feel bad, the guitar is definately worth the $ 630 that most of you pay.

This is the prettiest, most comfortable, best feeling guitar that I have owned yet! ( And I've owned about 15 different guitars of 10 different brands. ) This guitar just fits like a glove. I seem to think less when I play this guitar and just respond to how the music sounds. The fit and finish is second to none. I have picked up guitars costing well over 2K that wasn't finished any nicer. The tone is super! Deep, throaty but not bassy. My main guitar for the past 11 years has been my Gibson Les Paul Standard, and now I find myself grabbing my Schecter instead. Comming from me, that is a huge statement!
For the money, there is none nicer! No way!

The beautiful black finish shows finger prints very very easily. Ha, like that is a real problem.

The body style and head stock are awesome. Almost timeless style. Mahogany body, neck, abalone inlay outlining the entire body, neck and headstock, shows sophistication not show off. The all together package with its set neck and twenty five and a half inch scale.... super. Sound quality and ease of tunning is the best I've come across yet. Action is super, and drop tunings are no problem.

I'm recently divorced, but I'm not lonely anymore. I've got a new girl now! Ha!
If I could find a women that looks, feels and sounds like my Schecter C-1 Elite, I'd never leave the house again. When you are done reading this, go buy one.
I have friends that own the compitition guitars, ( Ibanez, E.S.P. and others....) and I'm not nocking those great instruments; however, I have a Prettier, better playing, better sounding more trouble free guitar for less cash!

I bought this guitar at Guitar Center a few days ago. It lists at 899.00 i paid 600.00 for it because i originally had a Schecter C-1 Plus and you know how they are at GC they have a 30 day return policy, well the C-1 Plus i bought had sold before and was returned, so The guy gave me a deal on the C-1 Elite brand new in the box. Sweet.

Lets get one thing clear first, let me tell you this guitar IS the best you can buy for the money. The Past CEO of PRS Guitars, quit to start his own business...Schecter. The moment you pick it up to play, you can tell these guitars are made with quality. Not to mention the C-1 Elite looks Bad-ass with the Shell inlay around the entire body. The Guitars plays with such ease, the frets are perfectly balanced, the neck feels and conforms gracfully in your hand. The Duncan Design pickups arent bad either, but if it really bothers you, just buy a Duncan Screamin Demon pickup and you'll have all the crunch you'll ever need, The Stock pickups still rule. The Grover tuners and the through body design for the strings never let the guitar go out of tune. All in all, buy this guitar if you are smart, love to play well balanced guitars, and love crispy clean or Raunchy distortion for a great price.

I love everything about this guitar.

This is a solid guitar. I definatly will not worry about it while in the studio. Made with caress and finess.

Please no more questions! Just buy the guitar and play away baby.

I bought this at guitar center. I paid $550. I was looking for a good beater guitar. I own two Paul Reed Smiths. There are just some show where I don't want to bring them out too. Too much money involed in them. I thought I was going to buy a Jackson or an Ibanez but after playing this I was impressed, very impressed.

The guitar plays great. It stays in tune after much abuse, it sounds good and looks good also. It is not a Paul Reed smith but for $3000 less it is a hell of a good guitar. I was looking to spend around $1000 for a beater but this played and sounded as good as any guitar in that price range. I think it was a great buy.

There isn't much I dislike. The overall finsh is pretty good. A couple of Blems but big deal. The only thing I really don't care for is the hight of the bridge pickup from the body to the stings. There is alot of room between there. My pinkie takes a beating on that pickup. Thats the only thing a little weird,

The set neck is really nice. The quality is there. A couple of blemishes but no big deal. The hardware seems to be all to notch. It seems really solid.

For the money it is probibly the best guitar out there. I really like it. Like I said I have two Paul Reed Smiths and I needed a beater, and let me say it is one hell of a beater.

I bought the guitar ( and an universal SKB case ) at Guitar Center for $700. I have a samick strat copy, that was in desparate need of retirement, so I went shopping.

The first thing I checked out was the neck and fretboard. I like the "Gibson-like" neck, meaning rounded back that is painted. The neck is easy to hold onto. The fretboard is very easy to play.
While standing, this guitar is equally sweet feeling and is balanced well. The neck stays where it should and doesn't droop. The body fits well against my side and is very comfortable. The action is a bit low but doesn't translate into a buzz from my amp. The tuners hold fine and tune very easily.
As far as pickups go, they are better than many stock humbuckers but don't give you a gibson-like sound. The sound may have a lot to do with the body type, and weight. In the control section, it gets no easier than this one volume knob, one tone knob, and a 3 way switch. The volume knob works well for backing off the when you want, but it's kinda hard to reach with my pinky.
The guitar is very fancy looking. The gloss finish is sweet.

I wish it had two volume controls.

The guitar seems sturdy enough, I don't gig on guitar, but If I did I'd trust this guitar for the long haul. It's against my grain to gig without a backup so I would most definately carry a spare.

Well worth the money. I'm happy with my purchase and plan to use this guitar as long as I am playing.

Handle relatively thin, like Ibanez SA160, 24 frets, not al listed the key, only the ct but this is absolutely not to Gnant resumed. An overlay of the 12th Celtic type box. The effect is trsrussi. The photo of the guitar REPRESENTATIVES Audio fanzine with only two diamonds ... A variation probably .... Have a look at the official site.
The look-General for the guitar is really high class!

UTILIZATION

Channel halfway between the end and well couillu fits to the palm, let me explain:
- It is rounder than the sleeves of some Super Wizards RG (eg mine, 550 EX). I find it more enjoyable when doing rhythmic bottom of the handle, it fills enjoyable hand, which remains stable, while on the Ibanez, it is so thin that a cre a vacuum ... on the other hand, it is less effective on the fast solos.
- It remains discreet, far more playable than others, larger and more pais, Epiphone SG Gothic style.
So I would say it is a good compromise between the trs hyper-fine and the rest ...

Access in acute fairly easy. A good place for the 24 cases ... We do not use it every day, but it's cool to have the possibility .... The body part that extends under the handle lgrement al tend to return to the palm when playing in the treble (from the 22me cases). It is not teacher, but we feel a little bit. Why not have the profile?

Lgre guitar, no problem horizon.

No dcoupe to the forearm, o lgre a pain when playing nag, but I am used to dcoupes table. I think people adpend.

It tends algrement nosedive, the problem is much less Submitted on some models of other brands (Performer Jackson Kelly, Jackson V), but we feel a little ...

Small default that lower note ... But still correct.

The subtleties and variations of play are rendered

For cons, the lack of easel allows you to change tunings instantanment (in low tuning in DADGAD) ... Fabulous!

SOUNDS

The sound is the question about it. However, I have difficulty obtaining a saturated mtal frankly. The Duncan Designed seem s'arrter the big rock (Creed, etc.) ... This impression is confirmed by another opinion on a Schecter C 1 + Duncan Designed, look on Audiofanzine!
I think we should replace the pickups with Seymour Duncan true (or better, I think by DiMarzio)
I think that despite its sleek look and mtal, it is basic plutt Designed for music between pop and heavy rock.
The push-pull, which allows for a more lightweight splitter into the microphones, reinforces this impression.
She is well on its crunch and clear.
Come on, I put 8 if you're not playing the heavy trs. Otherwise, it's 6 or so, we must turn the microphones ...

OVERALL OPINION

Purchased as a 2nd guitar for concerts ... before my group do splits!
I end up with her on her arms, she is good, but not worth an Ibanez of the same value if you or your plutt branchs solos metal. Be careful if you want to play Pantera, change of micro mandatory. The lack of saturation and grain PCHE. It has small default that affect a little jouabilit: trslger dsquilibre body that fits in the palm a bit when playing in the treble, no dcoupe for the forearm .... My Ibanez has none of these default!

Look trs pro and class, one of the finest guitars ever seen!
Trs versatile guitar, unlike what the look suggests.

Report qualitprix correct, but if your goal is to play metal, I think infrieur that may offer other brands (Ibanez. Jackson, ESP) for a price equivalent.
