What I pushed the purchase of 850, is the price. If I had had the budget, I probably would have tourn towards 900. But although the screen is tilted all beauty and two three options intressantes team this model, the diff ence between the two do not got a rationalized my cart price also lev. 850 rpondant my expectations perfectly, I do not regret my purchase. It really is the ideal compromise all that is this price level. It is just as perfect as are the 900 and 2000, even if it does not play in the same way.

2 years of use, after the royal cdj 400 is for display, jog accuracy, ergonomics, and I use it with hard drives in rekordbox. I do not have that choice since I saw the nexus 900 for display and the link.

I use them for a little over two years
Before I had the cdj 800 cdj I tested the 900 and 1000.
Plus, it has everything a large, easy to take a hand, reliable, no gimmicks.
value for money is correct, it remains pioneer.
It was for me the mixer.
Least, it does not turn into cdj 2000!
Loops was not very perfect before the update.
The official mapping for traktor is moldy.
With experience, Pioneer remains a reference for cd players,
I do not regret my purchase!

    I for 1 year.
Before I used CDJ200, 850 are therefore multi player set preparation more efficient thanks to rekordbox. Tag useful function. Loops good even if perfection does not exist.
Goodies: Jog precise, accurate vinyl mode, wide choice of auto loop function tag useful, good navigation in playlists.
Cons: unreadable screen outside if sunny, missing RJ45 plug for sync.
Value for money interesting even though we know that Pioneer is the market leader.
I remake that choice but I'll take the CDJ900 can be for one or two additional functions.

Acquired a year ago, I use one about once a week.
    I had CDJ 100S, CDJ 200, and 400.
We find good features "Pioneer" common to other plates that mark.
It's a bit expensive, but I do it again this NIOHC no problem, because they seem indestructible!
I also mixed on the 900 and 2000, and frankly, the difference in use does not justify the price difference.
I also recommend for those who have less budget, CDJ 350 which are extras.

Platinum affordable value with the same base report that the CDJ 900 or 2000 without rj45 for link. But for the price, we are not disappointed. Very satisfied with my purchase. My silver plates are coupled with an Allen & Heath console area 62, which gives a very tablet without breaking the bank!

In summary, the cd spend more, read the block has changed (280 eur hands works included).

I do not recommend this product and wonder if I will not go in the competition.

The CDJ 850 is one of the best and most affordable solutions to having a CDJ set up. The CDJ 850 is one of the cheaper ones when it comes to price, not cheap in quality. For less than a 1 grand, the CDJ 850 almost has the same features as the 900 models except the 900 models cost a lot more.

The CDJ 850 has top of the line mixing features and an unprecedented sound quality. You can pull all of your files and music from CD’s USB drives or external hard drives, and it plays WAV, AAC, AIFF and almost any other type of audio file that is used. Keep your computer at home with the CDJ 850 like you do with the 950 because all of your stuff can just be on USB drives. So what is really the difference between the 850 and the 900 besides the price. Well for starters I think the 900 has a better build to it, and a more stylish design. In my opinion that is the main thing that is the difference with the two. The CDJ 850 seems to be more for a DJ that is a beginner or with a smaller budget to work with and needs a CDJ device.

The CDJ 850 comes with a DJ management software called Rekordbox, its not the best software for DJ management but its pretty darn good for it to be free with the CDJ 850.
The face of the CDJ 850 is made so that the DJ has the quickest control and access to the music files. And with the WAV running across the screen you will have the proper visuals you need to be able to mix properly as well as have the artist name, and BPM of the song right there in front of you. The CDJ 850 is a low priced machine with everything a DJ needs. It would be my first unit if I was just starting out.

then I think the 2000? 900euro more for turntables? of these crazy, just hotcue more adjusted and jog and a trick or two more? must not stopped the frenzy! especially in serato or traktor mixing on the hotcue I put on my midi controller ...

    Returning to 850 :-)
after several months of reflection I took a pair of 850 ;-)
first printing. the fluid, these precise, his react very fast, very precise pitch.
usb these really great! the hotloop his terrible :-)

    Mode noon;

    -Terrible wrong has nothing on these serato reagent, according well respected that happiness! Finally, we almost definitely have to use the sound card (sl1, sl2, SL3, SL4) so its make a nice mess of cable;
2 USB (one per cdj), the USB sound card and 2 RCA cable to go to the mixing desk, a usb midi controller and more, imagine the mess of wires!

Bah-on traktor ... it really works not lag its top, the function's not respected ... by wiring level against the top! a plate by a usb for my usb midi controller, so that the RCA of these cdj and everything!
with traktor using the sound card of cdj :-)

So for now the south is not very conclusive, if rane was offering a solution to use the sound card would be perfect for this cdj!

cd reading these easy and rapid as compared to these big brother the 2000 cdj 900 and the 850 is really less sensitive to vibration and burned cd and cd in fair condition.

So for me these really the best compromise between quality, functionality and price as 899 euros a piece for platinum as complete professional I understand how Pioneer still sells 900 ... for the look? or kind to me I have 900? lolll

I would do without hesitation that choice, unless I had a wallet was I would take the extension in May 2000 in any case that the 900 is no place in the Pioneer range and no interest in my eyes especially for 400 Euro and more by platinum!

Very handy and complex enough to pass the box not without problems.
I was a little reluctant about the gray color of the start but once he arrived I was surprised by the finish that is not at all unlike some toy reviews.

How would you rate the quality / price?
It's expensive, but hey, quality is at the appointment.

With experience, you do again this choice?
Of course! With a little over budget, I showed still end ... but the CDJ 850 and already a good compromise between the CDJ CDJ 350 and 900.

How long have you use it?
    about 3 weeks

Have you tried many other models before buying it?
CDJ 800MK2, DDJ T1, numark mixdeck

What is so special that you like most and least?
+ USB, noon jog size, rekorbox
No hot-cue and pro dj link (but we feel good going), gray

How would you rate the quality / price? With experience, you do again this choice?
I've got a good price (1300euro/paire) but otherwise it is 1800 euro the pair that makes expensive (we know) but the quality and reliability is priceless!

with the experience I remake this choice against the eyes closed if you can afford better get a pair of 900 just for the pro dj link is really useful!

    A good compromise

I bought a pair of cdj-850 dv247 new home for € 1530 TTC in August 2011 (I say new, not used for a few months as some have to find € 1400 and that they pose new).
It's been a week since I use them.

Previously I had a pair of bst 146.

    Most:
    - High precision jog and pitch, tempo ultra stable, it can remain stalled at least 3 minutes without touching the jog (if you have the right tempo at the start).
    - Play / Cue highly reactive.
    - Clarity of the display and keys.
    - Easy to use, very intuitive platinum.
    - Search and read very fast mode as cd usb mode.
    - I use a USB flash drive Verbatim 32GB mp3 tracks with 1500 and no crash, looking through the menus very simple, very clea…

    - Search and read very fast mode as cd usb mode.
    - I use a USB flash drive Verbatim 32GB mp3 tracks with 1500 and no crash, looking through the menus very simple, very clear. Usb mode very effective.
    - Detection of hyper-fast bpm if the track has not been analyzed by rekordbox (if it was, the bpm is displayed instantly).
    - The color silver (I use a djm-700s, the set is too good).

    The -:
    - The self loops are not perfect and often unusable, although I am in version 1.06. Better to do it manually. We are far from self loops of cdj-2000.
    - Display of the waveform along with reading, so no use (unless the track was analyzed by rekordbox, then it appears instantly).
    - The master tempo that distorts the sound too much beyond + / -2%.
    - The appearance can be a little too "plastic"

The price / quality ratio is very good, although a pair of cd player to € 1,500 may seem expensive, the quality is to go. The CDJ-850 is a good compromise between quality inputs (cdj-200 / CDJ-350) and premium (cdj-900 / CDJ-2000). It allows access to the general budget for a jog just higher than the cdj-350.

Certainly I would do this choice, now it remains to test the reliability over time (since it only been a week that I use), but I do not care, Pioneer's reputation should not be missing this model.
