    Amp lamps (4 12AX7 and 26L6GC) 50W.
The bowl is a vintage Celestion 30 (in other words one of the best guitar hp of the moment).
The construction turns solid, very well designed: wood is thick and it shows on the weight (25kg in ...)

    rglages:
volume clear volume lead. By default, the output level is the same. Nevertheless a knob situated to the rear to change the ratio (contrlable and the footswitch 2)
1 eq common for 2 channels (which may be the default of this amp): bass, mid, trebble.
1 bright mode that apllique also all channels.
1 treble presence of potted lead.
1 switch that adds shine bright
1 stand by (handy for keeping hot lamps for a guitar change for example.
1 knob output level of the XLR.
The absence of eq not ask me problem insofar as I change the spectrum with eq g of Staff, but this is something that can really show Gnant for another configuration and made me lower the note 8. The bright poses fewer bp to the extent it can be Inrush and play on the presence of acute lead in

    USE

Setup is a breeze due to one eq.
However, the common rglage gain between 2 channels apparis complicates the task: find the point of sufficient gain to cruncher while remaining clean with a hum in clean. But once done, it is pure happiness and the least we can say is that this amp sounds very well. Unable shot stick 10/10 because certainly other guitarists do not rouveront this compromise.
the manual is in English. Clear and sufficient in that language, the subtleties of the duties will have to be learned by fiddling for others. The problem is that we do not hack with impdances hp ...

    SONORITS

I play a lot of metal, grunge, a little less rock and blues.
    For metal, grunge I use a Schecter C-1 Classic (SH2 / SH4), a '02 SG Special Faded (490R / T) for the rock / blues.
Overall, the cleanliness is the order of the day. This amp sounds modern, very modern in all registres.Seul a little rocky blues does not go too far because of high modernity sound.
Whatever the channel. The variety of sounds that you can get out is quite consquente: turns very clear crystalline split position, without being garish. The crunch announces a resolutely modern rock, even with the SG Special which possde a fairly old school bell. In metal, the saturations are sharp, powerful and prcis muts when the tapping, pure rgal, though I be only beginner in this field. the leads are beautiful, harmonic out. in short all good.

    NOTICE GLOBAL

Used since two days after having bav since the first test performed it a few months ago. Selfishly I would put him 10, but the score will for me reflter what other guitarists expect the amp and my comments are that I can not put it legitimately 10: /
I appreciates the most is obviously sound and sound obvious modernity of the craft coupled versatility.
I might regret a perspective sound is not to have a "vintage" fashion, a design point of view, it requires some compromises: eq common, not str o.
I tried many things before: Fender DETAILEDREPORT not for the big saturation, marshall who lacks cleanliness and DETAILEDREPORT old school, peavey so versatile that it lacks character, h & k not proposed to 'equivalent) mesa I do not like the grain, much less the price crate is too rare.
However, this is an amp whose purchase must be rflchi in terms of rig for its modernity that does not allow him to play all styles and also these small defects eq.
The price quality ratio is perfectible (2x12 competition offers in this price range).
For those seeking a combo that sounds modern, I highly recommend his essay.

    (S) lead is superb, it seemed a bit dry to departure, as i changed the 12ax7d'origine in which v1 Was a bit tired for a 12 AX7 Well, the CHG SG is quite significant, + sound is thick, harmonics come out, it's HOT and always this diabolical precision.
With my settings: Lead 1 big crunch crunch as the attack
Lead 2 Satu impecable for solos and heavy power chords that stain
Leger least CPDT, lacks a burning crunch and a bit messy for small-inspired riffs "vintage" (...) is expected to rgler with good pedal on the clean.

It is easily a very good sound, even low volume, but it is the lamp, it sounds even better by pushing the volume .. rglages are fairly intuitive.

    NOTICE GLOBAL

It's ENGL, the reputation is no longer, the last is not the sound of the head powerball, but for a budget reduces the practical ct combo and the ability to play at home without the risk of alerting the police, the Screamer 50 is a steal!
I hesitated a lot before choosing this amp (especially with the Hughes and Kettner switchblade 50) I think I made the right choice ..
List price 1323 euros and 230 euros Z5 footswitch, we get about 1550 euros, I managed to get off 1150 euros (and I'm not very good bargainer) that the price should not be deprived c is great stuff!
I use it for about 3 months and I'm still satisfied.

Amp all lights as they say, 50 Watts sending wood.
There is an effects loop, a connection for a z5 pedal (which costs an arm and dispensable if you like a pedal Boss FS 6). For references lamps, see the site builder I did have in mind.
Settings of its usual two bitoniots for drive and distortion.

    UTILIZATION

Very simple, one branch is played, the settings are quite delicate as sensitive on the other hand.

    SOUNDS

In distortion, that the amp or via a dedicated pedal is simply a SLAUGHTER.

    SOUNDS

In distortion, that the amp or via a dedicated pedal is simply a SLAUGHTER.
Pop rock, punk, metal, it gives free rein to your savagery. The distortion of the amp is "grainy" and controlled the game is well made and faithful. Crunch is also very nice, crisp and responsive, and when you combine the drive and distortion, tell the neighbors that hard.
Clearly, a lot of treble, you will be asked as a group to reduce because it can break the ears, with the setting of tone, no worries, add bass and midrange hop and voila. Note the presence of a Clean button you can push the volume of clean without it crunch.

The effects loop, which can be adjusted via a knob presence behind the amp, complies with the modulations that you send, no worries, I personally could do without as plugging in frontage or in the loop, no I do not care.

And I play with a Mustang and a Telecaster (Aerodyne) mainly above, and an array of Boss (DD20, SD2, CE 3, BF2) mainly.
Beef up you: the amp weighs a dead donkey.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2006 and this is my first tube amp.
At the time I had let myself be seduced by the sound reproduction, the distortion of the amp, his mouth (rugged and cool design) but with hindsight and experience, I think that 50 watts is already too much (for me anyway). A 30 watt would suffice.
Amp great for distorted sounds, but for cleans sounds can be a Fender or Vox prefer, there may be lack of heat for that, because the Screamer is a beast of distortion you need to know prepare.

    UTILIZATION

This gives a good sound right away, no gallery hours with the settings, the amp is very powerful, too powerful for home use without the vosinage shit if you are in the apartment. c j is a simple home test have one it breaks the house already, I am a local in 3, the power is phenomenal for a 50 watts. The manual is simple but enough, perhaps ca lack of such config, but given that we get a good sound quickly it s happening.

one year APRS, I have an eq global regulations on: (my regulation of head) is on Gloss, bass: 8, medium: 6 Treble: 4, presence: 3

    SOUNDS

I make heavy funk, c is the perfect amp for my besion, 4 cranberry, the clean sound is really good very clean, funk jazz as it sounds very very very good, clean not really vintage, but pretty typical 80s and a potato madness. A very good very punchy crunch, the two leads are typ Heavy-metal, with a beautiful grain and bcp gain, really a very good amp that I advise you to test absolutely! All sounds very good of her to clean hi-lead, very very warm sound and precise lead is not hard to say this, I jou ibanez team with a tone zone and air norton, c is absolutely perfect , very Heavy 80s as I wanted!! Amp supercharged very very hot and very clean

A year APRS I now group 2 a funk band then, and an alternative rock band, I have test my amp with several guitars, the best sound that I get it with this amp is the strat + c, it sounds really Excellent with the single coil, Funk blues alternative to the big sound is fabulous, c is Excellent with the stratum, I will test well with a gibson anyway, at least for the moment the stratum with the ENGL is fabulous c . And the sound did not specially typ n 80's, it may be with ibanez, but I get it its alternative with the big sound without being typical mesa, the sound is more roots somewhere. In any case I'm not going to change amp.

    OVERALL OPINION

I have the past week, I'm an outdoor concert next week, I'm not even sure I'll dub the sound of the amp so it is hard. J really loves his corn and cot very Heavy 80s. J got an old Marshall JMP double body biensur 100 watts all-tube, a fender twinreverb, and other trinkets, each amp has its charm and strength, the Screamer is the most Polyval amp that I got, ideal for the Funk 80's request to have a very clean sound Precut, warm, always clean, and a distortion which tears the walls with a single grain for ENGL boisterous chorus. 1320 the price list prices in France but are always ways to arrange with its dealer s. I do it again this choice without eSite for 3 main reasons his Polyval his single grain (we like it or not course) and c is a pke 50Watts (I do not want more than 100 watts). My only regret is that c is a 1x12 combo and not a 2x12, or I am 100% addicted to this amp.

One year after: The day I put 10 have the sound I want. and once again I prefer not to have a 2x12 !!!!!!

In terms of sound, depending on the position of the microphones, but overall:

CLEAN it is brilliant, chattering, ultra warm and round in the neck position
It crunch: actually not too tested
LEAD it a little tight grain can sound fat or dry
High LEAD tear it all! his big fat, big sound, dry and hot fat big sound! anything goes!
You really can do everything with this amp: Nu metal, black, death, grind, prog, heavy, blues, jazz, rock, power

Of course you have to like the rendering of Vintage V30 (Celestion), which delivers a strong low - high medium (open combo)

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 10 days
    the -: weight, noise-light high-volume, reverb a little light
the +: sound, rugged construction, the many opportunities for connection in the back, the palette of unique sounds that can not make him spit, finishing, the beauty!
I tried the randall, mesa's, the vox, the Marshall tube combo and it is this one that caught my attention!
The price is very good as well under its jurisdiction.
I would do this choice! I miss it more than a speaker and a pedal 12 * Z-5 and I'll be a happy man

I have not AIM. Trs is acute and medium high. If we lower the knob of prsence, the "fuzz" means less and less is a bit garish, but the sound becomes too clump and is not good either.
To be honest, I have kept this amp than 10 days. And during those 10 days, I spent my time trying to find the right rglage, not Russian but I find a sound that I really liked (in distortion). So I report to the store, and I took another amp.

    OVERALL OPINION

This amp was not too branch. I do not say that it is a bad amp, but it's not my taste. I did the "BTIS" to buy it without trying. J'tais confident APRS reading all the opinions that do say that good. But once the amp home, and I realized on my same sound, I did a little research on the internet and just by typing in words like cl "+ screamer screaming" I found many different opinions. And I realized that I not only think n'tais a.
So I strongly suggest the well costs before purchasing. It can be a pleasure can not please. And for home use, it's not too a.
So I took a Vox AC30cc1 instead, has had nothing to do, this is not the same style amp, but I finally found "the" sound to me please.

I bought this amp 10 years ago. 50 Watt All Tube, 2-HP 10 (Celestion "Vintage 10") an adjustable effects loop, a spring reverb. 2 channels with shared EQ .... a presence control.

    UTILIZATION

The E330 screamer pro blues is very simple to use and very robust. The clean channel is amazing .... the sound comes naturally ... everything is at the service of music ... with an incredible dynamic. Boosted channel requires a little more effort and needs to be addressed in more detail .... but I warn you ..... sent here ... always live with this dynamic .....

connected to my GL sc3 vintage ... it's pure delight ...

the real "more ".... is that this amp really respect the grain of the guitar ... ditto for the effects ..... now you have a guitar which sounds really ... and quality effects ... and there ... pure joy ... the 2-HP "10" will be in action ...

    OVERALL OPINION

As I said before, I use this amp for 10 years. It stands out by offering to be above all yourself. I played on fender, marshall, mesa-boogie and I have seen pa time with the ENGL. The price / quality ratio is excellent ... and a reliability. in retrospect, I do it again this choice without problems.
