UTILIZATION
Plug and play, easy to learn, the very British-rock, may not be comparable to the Vox AC30 (I had one in my youth in the 80's and he sent the guy) but for that price, y ' no photo. I have not had the privilege to try the (new) Vox AC30 Hand Wiring with blue alnico, which on paper would be my choice (if I win the lottery ...)
To return to Laney, yes it is a good amp with his personality that is too powerful again (I set it to max 2-3) and in the bars but that works well outdoors.
SOUNDS
The sound of this amp is perfect for styles of music I play.
I plug in my old Gibson Les Paul Custom, 1976 (490T and 498R pickups).
I do not use the effects loop, I live a branch Boss GT5, but I'm going to build a pedal board to measure the minimum issue pedals.
OVERALL OPINION
I post an opinion on this stuff because of recurring problem that I encounter:
- No master, it is difficult to find a satisfactory level on the two channels.
- I change the lamps every year, it is expensive. I tried the Sovtek, Grooves, the TAD, nothing works. Approximately nine months after a painful pregnancy-hum wakes up, the noise increases until I leave my house when I do a concert (I have a Marshall Valvestate 8080 to help me, but don ' is not my sound) that I bored why not buy!.
I will give him one last chance by sending a specialist of tube amps to check all the wiring, change the lights one last time, possibly to a switch for pentode triode switch to decrease the risk of puissance.Je arrive at the cost of the initial investment after such an operation, I will post the result if it can help someone ...
