Peavey Delta Blues 210 [2005-2012]

Bought at Daddy's Junky Music in Nashua, NH. Got it because it sounds great for blues and classic rock. $450.00 new at the Customer Appreciation Sale.

The reverb is good which you wont find in the comparable Fender Hot Rod Deluxe I was going to buy. The overdrive is smooth and warm. You can get a very SRV sound with Texas Specials and this amp. Clean Channel sounds great too. Has built in tremolo.

The tubes are unprotected so you have to be carefull with them. Footswitch wasn't included. Footswitch you can buy is only good for channel switching not for tremolo and boost.

Built like a tank. I've owned a lot of Peaveys with no issues.

If your looking for an all tube amp with great tone clean and overdrive for blues or classic rock look no further.

I played one at the local music store. Loved the tone, specificaly the reverb.

This amp the best value for the money. It has a great sound and more than enough power. light enough to throw in the car and go to the gig without breakin your back.

Listen, the tone of your guitar is a very subjective matter. What sounds great to me may sound like garbage to you. Find the amp that fits you or appeals to your ears. Don't be coerced into buying a product because you seen some pro using it. Don't forget in most cases it was given to him so other people wil notice it! also don't be misled by BRAND names there are very equal products with two very different price tags in any store. (think about it!)

UTILIZATION

Extremely simple to use, no adjustment for me is a plus.
found quickly sounds very usable.
That said, as noted, the fact that both channels share the EQ is not very convenient and it's sometimes difficult to find a setting that sounds on both channels.
I do not use the effects loop but when I tried it, no problem with a chorus or delay.

SOUNDS

Fender was too expensive for me at the time (and still now) and this amp had good review on Harmony Central. I tried it in the store next to a classic 30 and the sounds were very similmaires. I guess because of the two 10, the sound of Delta blues had a little less bass and sounded more flashy, more punchy hence my choice.

I play mostly indie rock, alternative influenced by Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Yo La Tengo, ... but even more stuff Americana Blues (first black keys). I have several guitars with pickups all but simple.
I mainly use the clean channel or in very light overdrive distortion with pedals.

The clean sound is rich with things to compare to known less brightness than a fender and mids a little harder. It just lacks a little personality but is still usable and we feel the lamps. Pedals and fuzz distos sound great on this channel.

The distortion channel is quite versatile with its two different gains. Without reaching the metal sound if you push thoroughly saturate its not bad. The overdrive is very usable for rhythm and blues I guess the accomplished (I'm not) will find his account without problem.

The reverb is very honest and cavernous when pushed. It provides just enough (for my taste) deep in her if we do not grow too. The tremolo sounds great but when it clicks there is a significant drop in volume, not good live.

Honestly, this amp sounds great but I always found it a little neutral and the sound is a bit harsh, lacking in velvety clean sounds (perhaps a change lamps?). on the other hand, if you play with the pedals, it is never disappointing and especially fuzz sound very differently on the clean channel and overdrive.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 10 years (I'm not very sure of the date of purchase).
As stated above, I find the sound sometimes a bit too go anywhere even if overall it's still very good. I have since tried including live combos marshals who have not made me envy against it's true that I prefer the Fender clean tones.
on the other hand where this amp shines is its reliability, in 10 years, many rehearsals and concerts, he has never failed. I've never treated badly but I do not pampers and he had his account of spilled beer and kick the spring to vibrate (ok I abused a little) and it still works perfectly.

A remake today, given the plethora of models released since, I'd probably other models but I have never regretted buying this amp.

Branch with mthode 4 Cables, I use it with my gt-8. I am especially GT8 for effects and I rarely bypass the pramplificateur for anything ...
The sound is good to clean the fat well suited for rock. The Disto is perfect for the blues ... Even if it is even more beautiful when lamp is pushed back and given just enough preamp ... But watch your ears!
I risk more spices mtal opportunity by pushing the preamp to the bottom, but quickly loses ... The definition of

OVERALL OPINION

I have 8 years and I think sometimes the change ... But I do not really see what I could find better. Its major inconvnient is the absence of bypass switch. The rverbre springs, as always capricious enough vibration scne ... I told him often prfr numrique a formulation in this context ... But never itch either. I really feel the loss of PCHE when I use the vibrato ... I do not use trs trs trs therefore rarely, but when I apprcie same ...
