ION Audio has announced that it is now shipping its LP 2 CD turntable that records to CD.
LP 2 CD is the company’s first turntable that does not require a computer for standalone transfer from vinyl to CD.
LP 2 CD is a belt-drive turntable with a tone arm and an included cartridge with stylus. It plays records up to 12-inches at 33 1/3, 45 and 78 RPM speeds and includes a dustcover for protection of vinyl records.
Housed in LP 2 CD is a CD-recorder that has what is needed to record from vinyl to blank audio CD-Rs.
Users can use LP 2 CD to record one or more CD copies of an album, or, optionally, connect a computer and transfer their music to iTunes, an iPod, or a MP3 player. LP 2 CD comes with software for importing to iTunes.
EZ Vinyl Converter 2 (PC) and EZ Audio Converter (Mac) are included for computer users to transfer their music from vinyl into their iTunes library, and Audacity (Mac and PC) editing software is included; it is designed to assist users in reducing pops, clicks and other noise on worn recordings.
