great card, features are included on the official website.
For the home studio is very good.
A score of 8 because the seller puts me immediately on guard, saying a phrase like "not let the starter in the installation cd itself"
So why have burned that way!!
In fact, one must first install the audio interface and then install the software (it makes sense you might say) Bin yes but if you let the CD do its bin INSTALL it does not go that way.
I just had a configuration problem Asio Multimedia. In the first test I plant the pc! But here there is an explanation Enora found in the manual.
That's why 8! And do not tell me anything because I'm very nice!
Bin so I like Cubase. O))
Latency looks correct. I had the opportunity to work with a soundblaster audigyZS2 and I can say there is a difference.
Here we hear no breath, here stability is there! No crack and no adjustments to Buffer because everything is already pre-installed Cubase SL!
Well ok I did that for a very short time. In fact, three weeks ago. But having worked on this kind of software I can get an idea directly. My PC configuration is finally exploited.
Like I said, for three weeks. But I had the opportunity to work at the time with Notator, Cubase VST and Logic (bin yeah, I was salesman of synths, o))
So I know the product. Unfortunately not deep! But I think work well on cubaseSL and long.
What I like most is the connection and phantom power!! because I have a micro Berhinger gives me great satisfaction!
Excellent value for money for me! Even if this is part of an investment, it is worth it!
No doubt, I would do the same choice and I would hesitate less; o))
It is a multifunctional device, midi and audio with digital inputs and outputs. ASIO support is included.
The combination with Cubase makes a device with a reasonable price and report prt employment.
There are drivers for Windows 98, but the sytme trs is unstable especially if you have a deuxime sound card in my case a SBLive. The audio environment has also completely crash after two days. Cubase does not work under W98 (this is not on the packing list)
XP installation is easier, the warning not to connect the unit before installing the drivers does not put enough in obviousness. As against the driver update tlchargable is much more user-friendly install, you just read what is the next level. (So why not make a product in order dpart the ds?)
Most of the software working properly. But the windows of the mixer sliders do not fontionnne, it must be used rabituer hardware buttons, it is sometimes Gnant.
If you have two sound cards you avatage put a shortcut on the desktop to configuring audio sources and slction audi and noon
There are also some freelancing. When some program lowers the zero-channel audio output is muted, it is that the mute box in the mix to check. It should in this case the dcoch manually every time .......
Question quality of its "output" the unit is good trs.
But in the recording mode is the disaster or prsque. In fact, I think of that I had a problem dpart on my table mixer until momenent o I did a test recording directly to one of my last synthtiseur. There is an audible noise that appears trs ds Exceeds the gain half of the race potentiomtre on each channel (1,2,3,4). The noise comes from the computer itself (to them hereunder and mouse movement) acts as the MI4 HF antenna. If I plug the synth on my old SBLive I have no sound recording .......
To have a clean record with the MI4, it is impractical to push the maximum power source, ensuring not to saturate. So trsdlicat. (Select the 44, 48 or 96Khz no difference). To record a techno goes, but not the classic. I will be trssvre for the overall score.
If I had to buy an interface quality I would choose one plutt sparation functions is saying a good midi interface and a good audio interface instead of a product in one.
I think caracterisitques techniques have largely been detailed on the Steinberg website. In the pub after, it was more attractive (very good value quality / price and some assurance of compatibility with Cubase since it is the same company that provides hardware and software).
I bought Cubase E4 and also a brand new PC (P4 3.Ghz, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB SATA hard drive).
I intended to use it with a DX7 IIFD, and a microphone M-AUDIO NOVA.
The installation took place without any particular problem.
And that's the problem. After having just installed (and I did it with a technician for installation of PC audio for use with Cubase), it appears that the quality of audio recording is catastrophic. The first branch was a simple microphone input and begins to register to see if it was the coup, but now we hear clicks. After, having played with all the settings for cubase, we tried 24-bit and 48kHz, and the quality has improved: more clicks.
However, upon trying again to my records, it appears that any audio recording, it may be the configurations, is still a very disturbing background noise and very audible and makes the system unusable. I then give my PC vendor cubase with whom I had bought (the reseller is also the official distributor for Steinberg). After 1 month of research, emails with Steinberg, testing of all kinds, I give up. I got a refund and I purchased E4 cubase cubase SL OmniStudio interface with M-Audio Delta 66 with a card. And, nothing to do, great quality, impressive latency, stability was breathtaking. In short, day and night.
Cubase E4 for me is a total failure. I lost one month between telephones and disappointment, and finally get rid of it. I hope my experience will benefit others and avoid these drawbacks.
I put 1 / 10 as a note instead of 0, simply because the computer has agreed to launch without crashing cubase.
Steinberg is good for softwares, his years of experience in this field have proved. But it is even new in the field of hardware and the result is affected badly.
