This console offers 24 channels real (ie, 24 mic / line) + 8 stereo inputs, 8 auxiliary, 8 subgroups. The monitoring section is particularly comprehensive. All I / O has an individual mute. To each is switchable Pre /: practice live!
The approach is straightforward and easy for all users familiar with analog consoles. The 4 mute groups allow good flexibility in concert. The output "matrix" can extend the use (ear monitor, sidefill ,...) The work surface is comfortable and readable. Fairly complete documentation is useful for beginners.
The overall sound is very good, with a grave exceptional depth and precision. The mid / high is fluid, transparent, airy and not aggressive. Sometimes we would like a little more "fishing", but it's probably one of the best console in this price range. The corrections are very "soft" and sometimes you push the settings, but the result is musical. The gain setting is suitable for high-level sources on low levels you have to go far enough to adjust properly, but no breath sounds and that's the main!
I use this console from June 2007 to benefit all my sound system, each time with a result that meets my needs. The pros: The sound, especially in the bass. The connection possibilities and flexibility The solid feel and quality (since confirmed ...) A -: No EQ on the output, shame! No direct output jack, but grouped on DB25 connectors.
