* This is a rather old guitar synth
* Controllers: 4 pedals, the function pitch, modulation and maintenance (2 modes)
* Connections: stereo audio, midi in / out, external expression pedal, the sensor plug for GK2 or GK3, bank shift, guitar in / out (not recommended, see below)
* Basic sounds: 180. Expansion card possible (with 180 additional sounds)
* There are utilities for PC (mac, I do not know)
* Polyphony: 6 minimum (it seems obvious to a guitar)
</ul>
I put 9 because an expression pedal would be welcome ...

UTILIZATION

- Easy configuration
- Easy editing
- Manual light

GETTING STARTED

- The sounds are very good but older than 10 years.
- The realism largely depends on your style. Arpeggios with a sax sound, it does not too ...
- Effects: Only two (it's a synth, not a GT8), the reverb (or delay) and modulation (chorus or flanger). High-quality
- If the sensor is properly adjusted, the synth reacts very well.
- Favorite sounds: electric piano, fretless bass.
- No digital output but that is normal given the age of the beast
- One small problem: a little breath at high volume. But hey, recording studio, I did not have to complain.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for more than 10 years and I have no great criticism. I use a Gibson SG with GK3, a fender strato and equipped GK2a multiac Godin (acoustic nylon string) and it works really well. No delay problem on older models as Roland.
Purchase if you find (try to find the expansion card GR9E-1, I found mine on Ebay last year), you will not regret it.
