well here goes about mapex
dont be fooled by shiny colours - i love my drums BUT mapex mmmm
1 the hardware is poor quality
2 the ply quality are poor uneven cheap cuts
3 the maple rings for the bass drums poor cheap ply cuts
they ll break/snap easily if your not careful
the hardware is pretty cheap and not interchangeable.

avoid anything below a saturn. - even so the lugs are still the same cheap quality as found on the m and pro m. and the maple rings too.


new - buy - gretsch catalina / or pacific these are pretty good cheap new models.

My advice is, if you want cheap and great buy a secondhand premier - APK. rock solid ! or pearl MLX, or a 70s rogers! all about £400 for a good one -many to be found on ebay and great sounding drums!

I purchased my kit from Drum Center, Indianapolis. I payed a little under $1000 for a 6 piece kit(w out hardware). 22" bass drum 14" snare 10, 12, 14, 16 toms.

The first thing that caught my eyes was the color. I purchased the ice blue fade. Each drum fades from blue-white. Very beatiful. The drums have great overtones while still keeping the the pinginess(is that a word?) down. The warmth is amazing(mapel shells). I really love this kit. Well worth the money. Sure a Tama Star_Classic would be a bit better. But hey, it's also about 5 times the price!

The shells are MapelMahogany. The hardware, steel. Bass whoops are wooden
I put on Remo Renasance(sp?) Emperor heads on it. I have not even had the smalled screw fail on me. I would recommend these kits for anyone.

Nothing but the best for my money, and this is the best, and it's my money!

Hello everyone, well I have this drumkit for about a year and I must say that overall it's a drumkit that sounds good.
I went through a lot of brands such as first xpk old model, pearl elx, yam custom stage, sonor force 2005, remo mastertouch, and I even started with the deep and Maxtone ....( and yes)
we can for the team Mapex with Remo Emperor on toms, sand pine stripe for the GC and tite zildjian k config and it sounds from hell, the sound is slamming with sustain and a good control . great sound on stage as much like home. for caiise clear I kept my first since Mapex lacked a slamming my taste, however small flat for floor tom that I find a bit hard to give (I have a config 10, 12, 14, 20 and CC 14), but if you add a 16-tom so it's a very good drumkit semi pro, and very good value quality price. more ciao

Hi all, first of all I'm sorry because I board previously recorded this opinion in the pro series in March by mistake.
I bought this kit there are now 6 months in studio configuration (6 fts), what about other Ormis that this drumkit is a real massacre, the sound quality is exellent if you find a kit that s' guides to the rock but still as versatile (depending on skin type utiliss). but what I really put my slap the bass drum is (22 * 18), a war machine, I ' used with an aquarian super kick 2 skin, and as you sayings that the dynamics, and heat of ronduer are impressive was a kick worthy of the black album metallica.
I use it in live acoustic and also in the studio and each time it is always good, the manager's doing really enjoy the sound ..
Also the finish is very well done and close are soft but effective and the quality / price is really l!!

Pro M Fusion 22 MODEL, 2 years ago bought the ring with a gift of a Black Panther DC 12 * 7. The finishes are irrprochables and robustness. The GC and toms are very easy rgler and a warm sound, adapted to any style of music. The GC is a marvel. We are impressed by the power of the GC 18 and the Snare. The CC with the skins original rock sounds trs but attnuant timbre and harmonics you get som get duller and less sharp. The DC Black Panther is beautiful trs, its sound reproduction is an equivalent 14 * 5.5 but with a sound closer.
It took me six months to get information in various stores and I tried five used batteries and other 4 new batteries.
Previous taient my batteries a Yamaha entry-level and a Tama SwingStar.
I have long hsit between a Sonor 3005, a Yamaha Stage Custom Pro and M.
The sound of the Sonor 3007 looks a lot like the prom I prfre the sound of the GC to the prom, but I prfre of the 3007 cc.
The price, finishes and ft of non-perc GC made me choose the Mapex.
Extra sound quality recording.
Made in perfect concert.
I do it again this choice without hsitation.

I just tell you about my Mapex Pro M that I bought some time ago already, but with maple drums while (before it was tilleuil and maple). I purchased version 6 Futs initially, 22, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 14/5.5 DC. The first adjustments after changing the skin caused by G2 from Evans, were super simple, and what sound, I would change next time by simple skin, how should answer even more barrels. I then added jn barrels 8 and a black panter in 14/3.5, and I can tell you that the descent of toms is terrible. My group loves this so that his delusions in punk, metal, rock and reggae.
Here are my impressions of this Super drumkit, (money) that will one day be given the quality of finishes available, the main element of my living room.
