I bought it in a shop for $995. Mark price was $1295.

Very good sound. I play it through a Marshall prastice amp and a cheap strat copy guitar. The amp models are really nice. i have never used the original so I can't tell if they sound close, but they sound good and that's all I care about. Distortions/overdrives are really nice. It gives you an idea of what model certain effects are based on in the manual. I own 3 stomp boxes -ds 2, tubescreamer ts7 and use Big Muff, and so far the tubescreamer and big muff sound close enough on gt6.
Presets are pretty good, gives you an idea of what sound you can get. Some really cool flanger/phaser/synth sound on the presets. These are not really useful in songs but really cool. (good for intro and outro of songs.)
Pitch shifting is pretty good, not as bad as some poepl suggested.
Auto riff is a cool effect.
Analog interface is really easy for editing.

Nothing...wish it comes with a soft case though.

Sturdy metal chasis, boss quality.

Very nice unit. It seems expensive since you pay almost $1000au at once but then it will end up be cheaper than stompx boxes plus power supply and patch cables.
Convient without all those patch cables.
People who looking for multu-effector should really look seriously at this product. It's awesome!!!

Bought it on E-bay, believe it or not. Paid $350 for it new in the box. Couldn't wait to find it anywhere else possibly cheaper but I think I got a great price.

The sound quality is amazing and the unit reaks of quality. Built like a tank like everything else Boss makes. I especially liked the wah modeling. Quite impressive to actually be able to hear the difference between a Vox wah and a Crybaby from a modeling unit.

As I mentioned above, it's built very solid. This unit will take years of road abuse and keep coming back for more. Obviously, it's of a very high quality.

Get one. Throw away your old modelers and multi-effects processors - sell em on ebay or something. You can get everything you need in this one box.

Small flat staff: the sampling frequency is fixed at 44.1kHz, which prevents me from using the digital output since I work at 48kHz. That said, according to Nyquist 44.1kHz is ample to respect the audio of an electric guitar, so I understand the choice of Boss about it.
Big plus for the Noise Suppressor that is excellent, the grid-in audio that can change the chaining in all directions including externalities.
Last, the pedal is a reliability and durability which makes it a companion along the way.

UTILIZATION

I used a GT-3 for a good ten years so I was familiar with the ergonomics. For someone who discovers the logic of the device, the manual is essential. That said, the manual is very clear, well translated and generous in theoretical descriptions.

SOUND QUALITY

Modulations are very good. A special mention for the flanger is very organic / liquid, really excellent. Some effects are too extravagant for my taste, I think in particular that is very humanizer connotations.
Compressor and limiter very good, really.
The acoustic simulation is far from an acoustic guitar, but for clean sounds, it adds a beautiful shine.
The processor is fast pitch shifting, well made.
The wah is also convincing, you have presets that emulate a CryBaby, a Vox. On an overdrive, the CryBaby is fine. Note that I compare it with the red Fasel Wylde Wah, which is not bad, that's saying something.
The strength of this pedal is that all parameters can be edited, making it a complex but fully customizable. In theory, concerning the modulations, it is possible to find exactly the sound you want, all of which is to be patient.

I do not use reverbs but exceptional cases, I regret the absence of a spring reverb.

The timing is very good, with many possibilities. No fault of that side.

This brings me to the effects of distortion and OD, and there is drama. No surprise on that side, it is synthetic, garish for some, certainly not in short what we can expect a saturation or a grain. Personally, I use the outer loop to connect to an OD (TS-7) and an 8-band EQ. From there you can adjust the amount of signal that is injected into the loop (via the drive) and the amount that reduces (via level). With a tube amp behind, as if it boosts the pedals were connected directly, the loop does not color the sound, just like the rest of the pedal, amazing. Dynamics is respected to the extent that you took the time to adjust the output level of the gizmo, the patch level, the output type, etc. ...

The preamp simus are not all convincing, I think particularly in high-gain, which suffer from a lack of dynamics and a grain too cartoonish. However, the simulation VOX AC30 (apart from the lead channel is ugly) is quite successful, and that of the JC-120 which was a shame to miss for Roland / Boss
Note also the ability to customize an existing modeling preamp, by shifting the bass and treble sweets spots and pushing or dropping them.

Pedals solid, serious, very good sound quality. Perfect for the modulations, effects and temporal dynamics. The filter effects are convincing. For the rest (HP simulation, distortion, OD), it's light.

Priced at the occasion, this is a very good deal.

SOUND QUALITY

The amp models are really good quality. I sold a DG-Stomp, preferring the sound and range of the GT-6. We find the marshall amps, Fender, Matchless, mesa-boogie, roland jc-120, Soldano ..... technology-based MSOC

The case is metal and the pedals are still strong.

UTILIZATION

Getting started is simple, as the old boss models.

SOUND QUALITY

It is certainly empirical, but to my ear, the effects are of excellent quality.
The amp simulations are realistic, and you can get a lot of nuances of sounds with a single model of amp, playing on the presence, EQ, type of speaker etc etc.. With a good guitar (Gibson SG for me), the distortions produced truly react well when you lower the volume on the guitar or by attack of the pick. To fully realize, do not compare the sound of the GT-6 on a hi-fi side of a marshall, but rather a powerful sound and good quality.
Distortions (pedals) are also fairly comprehensive. There are the classic at Boss, as well as simulations of Tube Screamer, Big Muff, Marshall ... Again, the result is.

OVERALL OPINION

I use me for 6 months.

I board the multi-effects since it came out (or so) and keep in spite of my new material "pro".

The only problem there is a guitarist qd-effects is that all effects are in the same block, therefore, impossible to cumulate and phaser whammy for example.
