[NAMM] New Yamaha MG mixers

With 6 to 20-input models, the new Yamaha MG Series models are designed for both fixed and mobile installations. All the mixers are equipped with Class A D-PRE microphone preamps with a reversed Darlington circuit. You’ll also find on the 10+ input mixers a new one-knob compressor and the 5 MG XU models an SPX digital effect processor with 24 effects (16 in the previous versions) as well as a 24-bit / 192kHz USB 2.0 audio interface. These mixers ship with the Steinberg Cubase AI DAW and Yamaha adds that they are compatible with the Apple iDevices via the USB camera connection kit and the Lightning-to-USB adapter.

The new mixers are:

• MG06 / MG06X: 6 channels, 2 mic preamps, 6 line inputs (2 mono + 2 stereo), one stereo bus, headphone output, 2-band EQ, 26dB pad, HPF, 6 effect presets on the MG06X
• MG10 / MG10XU: 10 channels, 4 mic preamps, 10 line inputs (4 mono + 3 stereo), one stereo bus, aux output, monitor output, 1-knob compressor, headphone out, 3-band EQ, 26dB pad, HPF, 24 effects on the MG10XU
• MG12 / MG12XU: 12 channels, 6 mic preamps, 12 line inputs (4 mono + 4 stereo), one stereo bus, 2 aux outputs, 2 group busses, monitor output, 1-knob compressor, headphone out, 3-band EQ, 26dB pad, HPF, rackable, internal universal supply, 24 effects on the MG12XU
• MG16 / MG16XU: 16 channels, 10 mic preamps, 16 line inputs (8 mono + 4 stereo), one stereo bus, 4 aux outputs, 4 group busses, monitor output, 1-knob compressor, headphone out, 3-band EQ, 26dB pad, HPF, rackable, internal universal supply, 24 effects on the MG16XU
• MG20 / MG20XU: 20 channels, 16 mic preamps, 20 line inputs (12 mono + 4 stereo), one stereo bus, 4 aux outputs, 4 group busses, monitor output, 1-knob compressor, headphone out, 3-band EQ, 26dB pad, HPF, rackable, internal universal supply, 24 effects on the MG20XU
