£119, local music shop. Bought because I searched for 'Univibe'on Google and came up with an entry for PW 10. It looked good. I then searched this and other databases for a review and was again impressed. Went out half an hour later and bought one, having owned a cry baby wah-wah for 10 years.

Range of sounds. The wah sounds are excellent - the Morley especially! But some days you may fancy the Vox or the Cry Baby instead - No problem! Boss's own sound is also excellent. As a Wah pedal alone it is a great bit of kit.
It's piece de resistance to my mind is the Uni Vibe tho'. It's very nearly as good as the real thing which, with expression pedal, comes in at nearly £300. It's also better than the Dunlop Rotovibe for £189.


You should realise that it's not all wine and roses tho'.
1. The manual is not very well written - compared to some others by Boss which are very good. It took me ages to figure out that the unit comes with a default distortion setting of the Boss HM2 [ or some such over-the-top shread setting]and the bloke in the shop didn't realise it either!
2. If you use a distortion setting, it remains operative even with the Wah function switched off. The bypass mode[ which does actually bypass the unit ] is awkward to engage - because it involves keeping the back of the pedal depressed for approx 2 seconds.
3. Similarly, the Univibe can only be switched off by moving the pedal forward into the off position - causing it to go through it's highest modulation setting. This is the same as the Dunlop Rotovibe tho'.
3. The memory settings are not particularly easy to engage. Like the on/off function they are engaged electronically rather than by an on/off switch. There is a small gap of less than a second while the unit switches between on and off or the memory settings. This can sound dis-jointed during a live situation. I have limited the pedal to one memory, which makes it easier.
4. The voice setting and synth setting are of limited value - gimmicky, and the bass wah-wah is obviously of no use to me.
5. The distortion presets are not particularly nice sounding - the lack of tone and level controls on this particular part of the unit don't make them that usable - I found the boost and blues driver settings the least fuzzy and nasty.
6. You can't use the Univibe and Wah at the same time - but, hey, that's luxury.


It's made by Boss - say no more. Another gripe tho - the text on the mode button is difficult to read on stage.

Despite the critisisms, the unit is excellent value for money. If you don't attempt to use it on stage with all it's memory and by-pass functionality, spend time reading the manual and experimenting quite a lot,it works well as a basic on/off stomp box/pedal. Like another reviewer on this database said, to buy each unit seperately would cost a fortune, so you can't go wrong.

Wah wah wah wah wah especially, wow wow so I thought I heard, and finally woua woua woua and other less useful stuff (distortion, voyelizer??, Leslie emulation ...).

It's digital, I guess with a Variax front and a Line6 amp buttocks is meant that heat small bytes. To use I did not notice the difference because of this feature (see below)
The pedal does not rack it seems, little risk of stroke than that crackles just like real pedals and Vox CryBaby (the Morley solved this prob there is already a lease)
We can change things and widgets on the response curve, but more interesting is the change in Q, an important parameter for wow effect. But I have not tried that yet.
You can save settings and recall them of course.

That rack, if so: I raqui me in at least 190 euros.

The building is half-half plastoc metal. So far I have not noticed any weakness, but I do not jump in with both feet on it either, though.

UTILIZATION

We set foot on the intended place. The foot is tilted backwards, the foot is tilted forward, we can not even move, in short it is technically accessible. WARNING: setting both feet on it, you fall. So little care (I specify for metals, but has never seen a metal with a wah?).

It's not bad?

Mean the difference between the different types of wah proposed. Listen when I rule Morley: wahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwahwah. The difference is obvious, right?

For cons, the distortion is terrible, it looks like a beehive. But maybe I'm diffcile in this area, as my reference for the distortion is my Mesa combo.
The Leslie effect is not great either. I do not know the Uni-vibe but now it's mainly Chorus cranked Leslie. My H & K Rotosphere pedal is 10 cubits above (at least 10 cubits, and I will not brewed).
The voyelizer: but what can it be used in music something like that??

So for me, wah sounds are good, the other sounds are blah blah blah gadgets or yuck yuck.

For the price, it's not a scam, but it's not a steal either. No doubt purists will howl, but me, it suits me. And then you can play with Shaft,

It is made of iron ac antidrapente rubber surface and does not use a rack system but an optical system which guarantees a long life.
Power is supplied with 6 AA batteries or the sector through the adapter bass (30 euro!) Which is annoying to buy as we pay 190 euro for the pedal!

UTILIZATION

For the price of an analog wha has done!

For my part, passionate wah, I find the result very satisfactory. But I have a nice collection: Dunlop Cry Baby, Dunlop Dimebag Darrell, Fender Fuzz / Wah, Vox V847 and V848, Zvex Wah Probe and Ooh-Wah II Source Audio Hot Hand Wah, wah all with the pad of Glebe.
The modeling Univibe, double resonance (synth) and Humanizing are also performed. Add the bass wah ... what more?

The breath of distortion? Yes, of course. This is the distos! But the noise gate, efficient, well adjusted eliminates the hum.
The volume of the distortion? It is adjustable. So no worries either on that side.
Of course, the volume of the distortion and noise gate are easily accessible. But the settings are done in conjunction with the selection of the distortion, so no real problem.
