Epiphone Elitist '63 ES-335 Dot

Made in Japan I think. Clean finish.

UTILIZATION

Channel super enjoyable, Access in no acute problem. CHARACTERISTICS of the form 335. A little heavy, so it is ncessaire to strap fits well.

SOUNDS

I play rock, British style. It suits me perfectly for this type of music. I use a fender hot rod deluxe.
Radius effect, I use a tube that allows me to sream saturated sound (but is it really ncessaire with this type of amp). I use also an ac booster and it is the potato. In his "clear," say plutt clean, nothing wrong.

OVERALL OPINION

I possde this guitar for 2 years. This guitar has always made me RVer. I chose finishing "natural wood." I also possde a stratum. It seems complicated to try to compare. See anything. For cons, I just acqurir a guitar that I would call guitar collection. I just bought a Hofner Violin guitar. I said not a bass guitar. Guitar factory in 200 copies in 1966. And so is the potato, the less weight.
Finally, I would do without this choice hsiter;

The pickups are 50SR and 50ST <em>(Gibson??</em> Not sure ...).
The handle, which has 22 frets, very nice, and I find that some finer <em>Gibson</em> (and is the shortest of all my guitars).
The body is maple <em>(5 ply laminate),</em> the rosewood fingerboard. Two volume knobs, plus a tone for each pickup. The violin is very nice quality, and the reviews that I heard at the beginning (nail not terrible, "patina" from the deck fittings) are unfounded! Only caveat: the head, which a lot of people are allergic ... Personally, I find it rather unique.
I bought this guitar new, less than 1500 € in 2003.

UTILIZATION

As I wrote above, this handle is a marvel! I play jazz, and despite my little hands, I can make open chords with extensions, without (too many) problems
Access to treble is excellent (perhaps because of my small mimine ???).

SOUNDS

this guitar is very versatile: its rich sonic palette allows me to play different styles of jazz <em>standards</em> to styles more "modern", but also funk or <em>blues</em>
I have long used a <em>Polytone,</em> but I was moderately happy with this amp makes a dull sound. I ended up buying a small <em>Fender</em> ... Chinese! With some good luck (like what ...)
It "sounds" very fine on my AER amp rather dedicated to electro-acoustic instruments.
I mainly use the neck pickup, tone and remarkable precision.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for over 6 years with the same pleasure! I was looking at the time a "real" <em>Gibson,</em> but the prohibitive price of the <em>335</em> was a bit calmer ... Besides this kip not be ashamed of the comparison-it is still a model "high end" ...
VERY nice guitar that I recommend to all guitarists looking for a (very) good instrument, versatile and with a beautiful violin.
Do not hesitate, especially since we find it now occas' at bargain prices (I saw one on the Internet ... 800 € <img class="smiley" src="/images/audiofanzine/interface/smileys/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="biggrin" /> )
