E-MU 0404

Well it does have two ins and two outs which is perfect. If you get the Audiophilie 24/96 it will only have one in and one out. And both of these soundcards cost a 100 bucks which is cheap if you have a tight budget. the only thing that was missing was the multimedia speaker connection which was a huge hastle to get. thats the only downfall of this soundcard.

Well its easy to install but you have to know some breif knowledge about computers cause the hardware goes into your pci sloy and you gotta know where it is but it tells you that in the manuel when you buy it.

OVERALL OPINION

Well basically first things first if you don't have a mixer you might as wellput it back on the shelf until you have the money to buy it. Cause thats what happened to me when I brought it. SO users beware whien you but this soundcard it dosen't support regular multimedia speakers you muat have the mixer. or a y adapter which is impossible to get unless you order it from the internet on E-MU website. The sound quality is excellent no problems and complete zero latency which is super if you need perfect studio production.

Yea its pretty nice you wont go wrong with the soundcard and I never had any problems only when I needed that mixer but you'll learn to love it almost like it grows on you

For $100.00 USD you can not beat this sound card anywhere on earth. I have seen them on sale for as little as $70.00 the most fantastic thing about this card is the sounds that come along with it. PROTIUS-X LE is a light addition of a E-MU product that has over a thousand sounds about thirty drum kits and massive synths and abouve all else it has greate sounding horns!!! It is Perfect for the beginner to expert. It comes with a varity of audio programs such as CUBASE LE my fav. sonarLE and ABLTON LIVE LITE not to mention all the other plug in effects. try it I recimendit to all my students...

I chose this card to the reputation of the brand, for its audio processing capabilities (24bit / 96kHz) and for the many among analog and numriques outputs (2 outputs / analog among asymtriques jack 6.35, I / O optical and coaxial, I / O pm), all in cable breakthrough.

I use Cubase SX, Reason 2.5, Wavelab 4 and Recycle 2.0
It connectea Logitech multimedia speakers (2.1 system), 2 sattelites and 1 subwoofer.

USE

Installation without problems, drivers are installed nickel (the manual is tat a problem installing the drivers who are still a little young, but I have had no problems, no message error as mentioned in the installation guide ...)
No incompatibility with deficits above software configuration is done aisment for each of them.
Pdf manual supplied with the card is pretty well done, clear and prcis (and franais more)

IMPLEMENTATION

No problem drivers (of updates are arranged on the site of E-mu condition enregisrter the product on their website)
I use Reason 2.5 in rewire with Cubase SX 1, and the sound is nickel, clear and powerful prcis on all frequencies (even with my poor system of listening)
Under Reason and Cubase, latency without problems down below 5 ms longer there is no latency direct recording and listening. In short it is happiness !!!

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it recently but I like serious !!!
I like the patch mix dsp software supplied with the card (a virtual mixing desk with tracks for each numriques among analog and outputs), the effects included with the software (over 500 prsets) are ts of good quality and can be used without seeking the CPU of the computer thanks to the e-dsp system.
In conclusion, this card is gniale power and quality of its incomparable with other sound cards among range. only regret the breakthrough cables are too short to my taste (but hey I'm not going to diffivile that price l.
The report qualitprix is ​​staggering (99 euros for what it makes it almost donation)
In short, if your budget is limited and you want a quality of its professionnele for your pc with possiblit to connect external analog and priph numriques, this card is for you, not hesitate not go for it !!!

USE

Help !!!! I have a amd 64 3200+ processor 1GB of RAM, although the PC detects the card only when I put the installation CD and I get the end of this one, it asks me to restart and this is my pc is completely Blocked .... I am obliged to force the stoppage remaining 5 seconds press the start button and after restarts when I it's the same pc is completely plant on the welcome screen!
I am obliged to make a boot in safe mode to restore my pc !!
please that's going on ?????
my processor is compatible ????? I think so .....
