Hi Guys.

I have a weird problem. I've successfully used the 0404 with wave recorders for abt 18 months but had to re-install XP yesterday due to viruses. Now my 0404 won't record in at all. The Patch DSP mixer picks up my groovebox's output (PCI L & R) but my wave recorders do not pick up anything even tho' the 0404 is set as the Record In device. I've checked the usual settings and trouble-shooted as best I can but find no solution. XP's Voice Record option (via Control Panel) is also greyed out.

The only thing I haven't tried is changing the PCI slot...any other ideas?

Hope so!

Thanks,

UPDATE!

I just had a brainwave and looked up emu.com for firmware. They had new fw and a patchmix update...yet they were unavailable. So googled the file names and downloaded them from opendrivers.com and...

...installed them and...

...now I've got Record In!!!

Yay!

Ah well, hopefully my little adventure might help someone else in the future.
