OVERALL OPINION

Following a recording I made a week ago, during which I used 2 NT1, I would like to give my opinion on this microphone become relatively common in homestudistes.
For recording in question, was a vocal group (six girls) in a style "world music". The NT1 2 were placed on two of the singers in micro proximity and then taking ambiance ... In short this is what emerges:
The microphone does not ring! But not at all!
The reasons for this opinion:
- First, you feel a lump in the upper medium, which must have the role of "boss of presence" but that makes the sound more metallic and aggressive than "present" votes on related to the treble.
- Then, for low voice, with more roundness, the sound is much softer, the presence of humpback cited above that does that and add a hissing sound when the nasal side of the level increases.
- And finally the last point, this microphone does not cash a high noise level, it highlights the two bad points mentioned above.
If I can write reviews as disastrous, it is because on the one hand I battle in recent days on the mix of the catch with the NT1 to the tune of Renaissance and plugs it does not sound good, and to Because all the other buyers will find much better at Studio project (B1 and C1, and indeed I wait to test the new version which seems pretty good), or even in Berhinger (B2 )!!!! (and yet I'm really not a fan)
I have nothing against RODE but now it seemed useful to cry, given the number of positive opinions.
