I paid 350 new from a local dealer. I own a les paul custom and a fender mij strat and figured this would round it all out. I like twangy single coils also.

It's very affordable. The american ones are a little nicer but are close to a grand. The mex standard gives you all the tele feel for a good price. I like the bridge pickup. Its bright like a strat but has more meat, you get the best of both worlds. The middle position(using both pickups) is nice. It is kind smooth and twangy, better then the middle spots on a strat.

The neck pickup is a bit muddy when distorted. Sounds great clean though. If I were to play in a band I would consider replacing the pickup with a fatter sounding one. I've heard complaints about the frets being sharp on the edges but mine is fine.
The squire ones do have this problem.

Good for the money. Looks great, tuners seem fine.

Very good for the money. Alot of fun and a great contrast to a guitar with humbuckers.

got it from sound control in newcastle paid £360 worth every penny. ive always wanted a telecaster and they dont make jazzmasters left handed

my god its wonderful, the paint (midnight wine) is just soo sexy if you get up close it looks mettalic. the neck feels like silk its so smooth and fast. tuners are really good and they have this little fender stamp on the back of each one its such a nice touch. even the action was ok i raised both the e strings a little but its better than i expected. i havent even got to the sound yet but hen again it is a fender telecaster what more do i need to say

hmmmmm i suppose its annoyiny only having one tone and one volume,when your changing pickups its nice to be able to have different volume and tone settings but ive got a vintage Sg copy (its brilliant i reccomend it as well) if i want to do that

its built like a tank its about three foot thick. when you look at it from the front the headstock looks dainty it really isnt i treat this guitar like a baby son but i know it could take some punishment. the best thing is though this ruggedness creates almost les paul like sustain and doesnt compromise comfort it is just awesome.

I picked this up at Sam Ash. I had visited two or three weeks previously looking for a guitar in the 300-400 dollar range to move up from my cheap Strat copy. I liked the Tele sound, after all, they're very versatile. I knew that plenty of my favorite bands (the Wallflowers to the Clash, pretty wide range) used them and I wanted to see how one played. I narrowed it down to the Telecaster vs. an Epi Goth SG, but I knew that if I was ever in the mood for twange, the SG would not deliver in it so I picked up my $350 Telecaster.

I love almost everything. It was a floor model, the gorgeous Wine Red guitar I picked, so the dude at Sam Ash put new strings on it for me and set it up (and gave me a deal on the strap and bag). The action was perfect, low with little buzz (I'll get into that later). the look is great-honestly, it looks like a $950 guitar rather than $350. The tone is stellar-I'd read that the pickups were muddy, but I don't get that at all. It sounds great even through my cheap 10-watt amp. I can't wait until I get my Roland Bluescube to really compliment this thing.

hmm...it buzzed early on...I guess. See, the notches in the nut were cut small and I had the guitar salesman put on Skinny Top/Heavy Bottom's (I hate power chords, but I do love the fat bassy feel and sound of the low strings) so at first, the strings didn't sink all the way down and the man at the store put the action wicked low to compensate. but three days later, when they'd settled, it was going buzz-crazy. I freaked and thought I'd bought a lemon, but then I realized and fixed the action and all was better. There still is some buzz, but that's natural.

So I guess the only thing I disliked was how stupid I am...

This is a Tele here, so it's built like a tank. I haven't been too klutzy with the thing yet, I'm still in that mode where you first get the instrument and you treat it like it's pure gold and a week later it's on your bed covered with coke (the beverage...) and blood. anyway, well, the construction is good, seeing as it was made in Mexico...some things needed tightening, but hey, it's a floor model, and I have a screwdriver.

This is, without a doubt, a great value. It's got the tone and looks and build you usually get for much more, but it's only $350. The moral of the story is, if you're not a moron like me, and you like playing the guitar (other than heavy metal and this crap they're selling on MTV under the name of punk these days) this should suit you. It's a Telecaster, it can handle most styles of music. It may not sound like a million bucks, but it sounds like more than it goes for, and it's worth it.

I find the intersections taking a cheap can, because after a few hours of use of the Tone knob remains in my hands (nothing serious, just a screw tightening but still) and after taking three weeks jack unscrews
Otherwise the guitar is the tuning trs well (two weeks of heavy use and has almost no moves)

UTILIZATION

The handle is trs enjoyable (it's Fender), access to acute not great because the heel is thick enough. jou for 1 year with a ser Squier Stratocaster guitar that I Affiniti dabord parrue trs heavy but it is with abitude fait.L absence of dcoupe to the forearm can be a g Nantes beginners but also is the abitude
I also find that the volume knob is too moves away from the bridge: inpossible to effect the violin Mark Knopfler without pedal

But despite all its dfaults I love the scratches, it's his default which his personality and if I wanted a perfect scratching I bought a Start

SOUNDS

In clear sound with the bridge pickup is the Lord of the tele twang, we like it or pas.Je found the neck pickup a little too serious, especially for playing but for arpges rhythm and solo It is very well.
Passont disto.Ayant the low-end amp I use a boss blues driver for the distortion and the vamp is especially the bridge pickup, precise and never showy, never mushy and with a remarkable grain, the neck pickup is trs good for solo but less for the rhythm (the blue driver has a serious grain trs, the mico too, so did a grain trs trs severe).
With a boss ds1, sounds good but its not as much with a good crunch, for cons I think the solos with the neck pickup sound better now with ds1

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using 3 and I'm thrilled I found the report very good price for quality find a guitar of this quality the price (560) is rare (it is the price of an Epiphone Les Paul made in china) even if the finish is far from perfect. may need to be thinking a change of microphone.
I do not essaill other models because I won but I would do with the exprience this choice probably because despite the dfault I love this guitar because it has many personality and everyone has not had (in the Clapton Crossroads DVD, they are all a stratum, almost always sunburst) inch so I'll buy an Epiphone SG (that's what I had to prevut ) but it is a history of heart because it prfere my guitar because I Epiphi pence that china is not as good as fender mexico

The strings through the body, which is poplar.
1 volume, one Tone slecteur three positions.
In short all this is classqiue but effective (for this price I think it's better not too fancy)

UTILIZATION

The handle is polished but not enjoyable trs (APRS all this comes from Mexico), size for the rhythm.
CHAC is the acute trs way but it is a rhythm guitar I do not ca Gnant.
The body shape gives a solid appearance (it is not prsence bodies finely size SERIES sword Ibanez) but that's what makes it so charming. I think its weight (6kg I think) is reasonable and everything is equilibrated!
The sound is achieved very easy, it's a T, it sounds like a T and it is what is asked!

SOUNDS

Ben is a Tlcaster navique always more or less familiar ground! I find it to IDAL blues.C rock and is sure to mtal, it is not for, do not abuse it either, micro humbuckers are not!
I play on Marshall amps and I could try it on different amps, a ben tl always sound like a tlcaster! But it is true that combining it with a Marshall Shifts to have a fatter sound than a Fender amp.
The bridge pickup allows laymen to understand why we say that Tlcaster ca claque while the neck pickup has more roundness and warmth to the sound. The position intrmdiaire I almost never use it, but you know the tastes and colors ....
I can not put 10 because I would put this note to a team of Tl amricaine Noiseless.Donc I put 9

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for nine months and I must say that I love!! And yet I'm a fan of mtal (a banned here) but a personality Tlcaster possde a typical sound that I love. Of course everyone will not like but it leaves no indiffrent. Personally I find that this is the most beautiful guitar! What I like about my guitar? that particular sound, this aspect of "old-school" that you will never find on an Ibanez (note I'm not saying that ibanez is zero, it is not the same trip that's all). I try to by many friends full of guitarists MODEL (Ibanez, Jackson, Charvel, Les Paul) and I do not regret my choice! One can even think in a time deuxime change for noiseless pickups to scratches again this amliorer. The ratio quality price is excellent (and I think it's better than Fender Mexico all plants Coren and Japanese but it is only my opinion). I would do this choice of course! For despite his default, this guitar is unique. But that's my opinion ... and you know what they say about opinions ...

UTILIZATION

The most striking c the weight of the guitar. Access to Acute ms is not that great head way we bought a telecaster not to go down without a stop ossi ...
the handle is relatively fine and ask me any concern.

SOUNDS

Professor of Rhythmic wild funk or garage is no problem, the grain is warmly. Maybe a little too secos micro Chevallet ms c kon request to this stuff. (C ke c true not manage to solo this position ds! )
The intermediate position is round and is well suited to the ballads make clear pr.
qd the neck pickup is too serious not precise enough ... (I'll probably change the pickups to head way) but more ready to make few solos pr kon is a slight crunch!

OVERALL OPINION

I for 1 year. I love this guitar even though I will probably change the pickups!

In short, it's a Tele, everyone knows! It would make a good slogan.
The mechanical it seems a little light. I love them like that, why take the points? In addition, you can always compare and find better, is not it. These mechanical fulfill their role, and that's it.

Access to acute: OK, it's a Fender, but I think we play the 21th box rarely serious.
Excellent ergonomics. I do not know how much weight a guitar, it is at least as heavy as my Mexican Strate. But we are comfortable with, nothing to say.
Get a good sound: it's easy, just plug and play. In fact no, we did not even need to plug ... it's true, I also like playing like that, in acoustics.

SOUNDS

I am very rock and blues. The Telecaster excels in these records.
I play with a Roland Cube 30 from home, not a panacea amps, though very correct, and it's still really fun!
I would say that the issue, there are two possibilities: either you play clean channel, and there you get a good pickup in Twang, a good blues mellow neck pickup, and a hybrid of the two middle position. The sound, clear channel, is excellent, not too sharp, not too serious, well-defined.
Such a saturation pretty frank, one remains in the rock, the Telecaster can.
on the other hand, in the style groooooooooosse saturation bourrain Metallica, Evanescence, etc ... (I like the way) the sound becomes a bit messy. I do not think a pure metallic and hard drive in there's something. For me, it happens again.
Incidentally, I find the original pickups more than adequate, better than those of my Strate mexico (original). I have no plans to change them for now.

I put 10 because I do not think the problem is a large saturations precisely. You do not buy a Tele to play Metall. She is doing very well with a good distortion, but do not push it too much either!

OVERALL OPINION

I've had .... one week. Ok, it's not long, but since one week, I did not let go. On this guitar, I like everything. She's beautiful, she is finished, there's really nothing wrong (yet, I know to be critical!)
New paid 520 euros (I live in Germany), I find amazing value for money!
I have long procrastinated, between a US and Mexico. Being left-handed, I had to order my US .... and wait 8 months! Pfff. Having read a lot about Fender Mexico, I say first said it was better to wait ...
And finally, I still took the Southwestern, and frankly, I do not recognize this guitar in the negative reviews of Internet users.
Many agreed that the Mexicans have made serious progress in the quality, I think they are right ...

My little Tele Midnight Wine Has factory in Mexico, alder body polish, Saddle unvarnished handle ... CHARACTERISTICS for more technical I am not qualified all I can say is I love this guitar.

UTILIZATION

The handle is extremely enjoyable, I who plays guitar for a few months, I promne on the handle, the highs are easily accessible? Also the guitar is lightweight and fits comfortably in hand. For sound: it was a very easy clean slamming his powerful and well when we move into the more saturated it is also fun with an awesome power.

SOUNDS

Playing mostly Rock hard enough like Nirvana, this guitar is perfect as it can go from a good clean sound trs enjoyable sound distortion but still quite dirty even INTERESTED trs sound. I use a Fender 90W amp with distortion pedals of any kind, and it is a vritable happiness! With the right pedals it is a clean promne between both soft and slamming and crashing very fat, but fun!

OVERALL OPINION

10/10 in every respect for this beautiful instrument that I use only a few months. I started on guitar Squier Strato and the passage has a t a Mexican Tele vritable rvlation. Also this guitar has a history vritable for me, and I find it REALLY beautiful color with red wine. The quality-price ratio is excellent because for half the price of a US Tele Tele Mexico was one with the same microphones, and many APRS is even better than the pros srieu Highway 1 . I prfere is the ease that a player has to play beginners like me on this guitar. The best choice, and I advise all young guitarists who want to start guitar on a beautiful MODEL trs.
