Boss RC-20 Loop Station

Boss dual format of the same series as the echo space, the slicer, etc.. It's solid, subject to manipulate the knobs normally.
A real bonus is that it supplies with classic barrel 9V boss, not a jamman.

UTILIZATION

Setup, use, everything is super simple. It deserves to take a look five minutes in the manual to set well at first then it rolls.

SOUND QUALITY

For me, this is perfect. I only live in the loop and I do not use any pre-recorded loop so all the handicaps of the machine including limited memory and no PC connection does not matter to me.
Transparent, or nearly so, restores the original sound pretty good.
A particularly interesting to me: it has a reverse, that is not the jamman and is essential in a looper with the use I make. In addition, you can press the reverse, is sampler, the sound is heard in the place, then stop recording that plays live upside down, it looks very interesting I then resample the looper effects from (I have 3 in my channel

OVERALL OPINION

I month, it suits me perfectly. I had a JamMan just before and I am robbed during an exchange with an unscrupulous lout. That said, the RC 20 is much more suitable for my use: it is simple, solid, plugs into a standard power supply to pedalboard, it has a reverse function and for the price it is found secondhand (less than 100 balls) I think it pushes all the competition.
If I had to find fault I would say it is a bit big but it was smaller use would be less easy.

The Station is a loop pedals Loop (Loop)! It can record everything you want for a period of more than 5 minutes! (Instrument, see, sound from any media type, walkman, Minidisc, string HiFi, computer ....)

It can also record loops into banks, which allows to restart the loop when it is needed, see even in concert!

UTILIZATION

At the faade, the use and handling of the device is quite simple and fast (you can dbrouiller and use the basic functions without operating instructions). With the user guide you learn the little idiosyncrasies as recorded loops in the banks, make a loop tempo dj records (handy for live performances!)

How it works

Pressing the pedals on the left to record the loop, we still support the pedals on the left to arrter loop (the part played again!). We still support the pedals left and you can record one channel supplmentaire (as many channels as you want!). The pedals on the right is arrter the loop and tempo caller (to save a tempo, or to start recording a loop in a bank, a given tempo!)

Basically, for those who do not want to take the head with a machine the loop is the RC-20!

A BMOL all of the same, the most important for this type of machine is rgler levels of output and, if the loop recording is like yours, there is a lack of gain!

Even if the pedals seem sturdy do not bang around like crazy. The sound is recorded on a disk which is quite fragile, there may be minor pests long (I have from time to time ..... it's rare any of the same!).

SOUND QUALITY

For sound quality, once the levels of output and matriss, the sound output is identical to the output! As for the mini-jack input (for walkman, CD, Chane ...) the sound restitution is the same!

I play with my guitar, my bass and chapman stick and my everything goes well!

OVERALL OPINION

I have the pedals for a year now, and I have not had any particular problem. I use several fawn:

- Work for jazz standards: I register a grid and I play the most THEME improvisation, it is all the same convenient and super fast (the time of the grid!) Compared recording on PC for example!

- To compose songs

- Live on benefits in Pub

- For Boeuffer! it is super cool !!!!!

UTILIZATION

The ease of closure is very simple.
Even if it is a little street in tempo, after 10 minutes it is cool loops.
The manual is clear.

SOUND QUALITY

It is true that a spit what we give.
The only problem will be rgler the different volume levels.
If any records to the same volume was rough. Therefore must manage the guitar volume.
Then if you live in and register when the loop starts the sound level is too low, it looks stupid.
So be careful, if a loop prvoit advance prvision home in a concert, the sound level will be enough (I actually have .....).

OVERALL OPINION

I for a month.
I'm a little deu.
Let me explain. IL possde 11 different memory selectable by a knob. If prvoit a loop to the verse it is recorded on the memory 1.For the chorus the two memory (this is an example ..). With pedals (optional) is just tell the rc-20 to start the loop 2, once a loop is finished. But once the refain will finish a damn good to be back on the ball 1 REPRESENTATIVES that the verse!! It's stupid but really stupid.

Then imagine that you play on a loop you CRER home. You want to spend the next blank is to create a loop live. To do this you press the pedals (optional ..) to report that once the loop you want to spend over the next one. And has not work bah! If the next memory is blank Zobi fly, he wants to know.

I think I would have to try it for further use because I want to do this does not fit me too.

Well then good, let this new Boss RC-20 loop station effect.
I sometimes find the hardware Boss a little ... cheap, but they made the fort.
The RC-20 is a sampler vritable in real time which is the diffrence HeadRush (Akai) and the delay model (Line 6).
While these last two are good trs delay in providing a longer delay time sufficient to allow layering of sentences of about 20 seconds, the RC-20 10 proprose patterns oneshot + 1 for a total of 5 min30 (I've never reached the end of 5min30s). Moreover, it saves your samples in internal memory without batteries. In this regard a first flat, I apprci that they can be extracted by smartmedia example. But then some will say, rightly, that this sampler is not in ca.

The case in mtal (robust) trs reflects the good quality of fabrication.les pots are flexible and rev prcis.
A REC pedals and OVERDUB (superposition at infinity), a STOP pedals, which also, in the beating rate of cre a tempo or change the tempo in real time in your loop (time stretching ).
Very practical all the functions available super easy: the output volume, the volume of the instrument taken, the volume of the microphone jack, the pattern selector (optional foot triggers (about 10euro, the switch)), the volume of mtronome.
Not to mention the reverse function dclanchable foot (optional) and a source function that allows disoler a guitar solo from a CD (a little anecdote to my taste, but good.

UTILIZATION

3 options available to you now:

Later you can change the tempo of your sample without changing the pitch: this function works pretty good, with good quality up to some extreme (do not push it).
In short, despite a rather long run of pedals, the Systm is reliable, simple, super intuitive and allows wonderful things live, I use personal THE FIRST cit above function which allows great maneuverability.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound.
Well, that's all 16 bit numrique 000htz 44, I do not see any diffrence with what I have to record, some will tell you it's a bit cold, it lacks warmth, it ca, I think we arrter especially touching.
In short trs sound good.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year now and it has opened new horizon. For starters, trs well rc-20 will allow you to listen what you play and play up. I used to live and I think that it has fulfilled its role perfectly thanks to the change in pattern. it is an instrument in itself, no effect pedals (although the reverse is good).
It becomes, in itself, a tool for creation and support idale.je'm so excited but rarely ...
Well if I had any remarks: a smatmdia to extract samples, and especially whether multitrack (indeed, we superimpose always new sentences on the original sample, a blunder and the whole pattern you just gun down.
Finally, the price, it is what it is (try to touch it for 300 euros, it will be good).
PS: a good idea to see if this sampler packs the crowd try to find a used one!
