Guitar made in 2008 in China, factory Digpao (100 pins over Shanghai on the coast ...).
I bother to post to "standart +" because many people post just anywhere.
This is the Les Paul series that preceded the "most top".
The latter (the most top ...) have microphones splits and new pickups Burstbuckers Epi. which are very good.

GROVER mechanical, hardware store quite correct.
The neck profile is thin (Slim Type) in C.
A pleasant surprise for me that has small hands and suffers the pluparts of non GIBSON profiles "slim type".
22 Frets, Pickups Epiphone Alnico Classic (version of the classic Epiphone Gibson 57).
No split pickups like the "More top" version of 2013.
I note well this guitar (9 excellent), the finishes are VERY good (see photos) and all consistent without significant weakness.
Note: Mahogany body into 4 parts, it shows very little on the rear portion of the body, but will detect a sophisticated look without problem.
No information on the length of the tenon of the handle.
The maple top is plated with a maple leaf flame biien very connected to the body axis.
The Chinese who did the varnish is very gifted, the honey burst is beautiful.
The rear body has got a nice dark brown varnish recalling Gibson varnish "walnut" the 335 of 70 years.

UTILIZATION

I am a player Strat and Telecaster but I needed the "heavy Les Paul" and cheap.
I inquired, I tried the Tokai china less than 500 Euros, and Epiphones "More top" in 2013, I also Locate very good (great Burstbucker pickups epiphone ...), including Customs ... the handle is a little off in the treble (especially on standards, less on customs) is described as a slim type, but it is wider than my 2008.
And then I came across a great announcement: an Epiphone LP standard "plus" in 2008, honey burst, which almost new owner did not want, I would even want to get rid for 200 euros with the body ... UTILIZATION

The handle is really not bad, although a little uncomfortable in the long run when tasted good to Gibson. Access to acute is nothing original, limited because of the shape-single cutaway Les Paul.

The guitar is quite heavy, but still, if you insist that your instrument is light, go buy something else, you're wrong!

SOUNDS

I bought this guitar it well there's 5 years, I was a fan of Led Zeppelin, I absolutely had to. It can provide a beginner's first warm humbuckers sound carefree, and gives very good results if only one comes across a good number and one branch in a good amp.

The sound here is more fat and warm, dry lens. After a long time connected in a small 15 watt transistor combo obscure, I have used it with my Peavey Classic 30.

Wanting to improve their potential, I quickly changed the pickups for a pair of Seymour Duncan. Excellent initiative, because the violin is good. A very good solution to boost the instrument, plus the choice of weapons (Duncan, DiMarzio, EMG ...)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for good five years now, this is my first electric guitar.
I had not tried at the time, budget and the look did the rest.
I ended up putting a Duncan Alnico 2 Pro in acute and '59 the same brand as serious, which has improved the overall performance of the guitar, and that it is always a good place in my collection after all this time.

An instrument that I recommend for anyone who wants a share of the myth for cheap gibson. Excellent for beginners, and stay as long as you change at least the pickups. It will not replace a Gibson in my opinion but it is an honest instrument, well built ... a very good value for money. My notes concerning the production model.

I would do this choice in the same circumstances!

Bought in a music store in Québec. Went to check and found the beautiful one. Paid 530$ canadian used with a case, a new set of strings and a pro setup. I was looking as Les Paul for a good versatile blues-jazz-all stuff guitar. Believe me it delivers.

I really like the price I got it for. I have to mention the beautiful finish, don't seem to find it anywhere else(weird)kinda caramel burst.Very beautiful. Soundwise you get a fat and round sound. I find the balance, when you play seated, very good. Can wait to get a nice amp to plug it in.

I don't have complaints about it.

The fact that it is heavy is comforting for me on that point. I haven't found any defects or or problems with it( it's used so minor cosmetical blemishes). Seems to be very solid. And beautiful WOW!!

Beautiful big sounding guitar. But try many as they can differ on neck thickness, finish. Anyway no 2 guitars are identical so.

I got this guitar at a local music shopr for about 400 moola.

I love everything about this guitar. It can sound like an electric acoustic or a heavy-metal machine. The maplewood fret board is not connected by bolt. And the frets are easy to reach.

The only thing I dont liek is that the strings are a little high off the fret board. So iits a little hard to solo good but its possible

I got the guitar used and its in very good condition and there is nothing wrong with it.

Before i got the guitar the music center had put a brand new wiring system in complete with new 57 mhg pickuos FOR FREE!!!

wanted a backup for my Gibson Les Paul Studio model since the Gibson needed to be refinished and would be down for awhile, bought this one off e-bay for $324 including the shipping because it's stamped "USED" on the back of the headstock


incredible appearance, bookmatched flame maple top knocks everyone out who really looks at it, the binding is really nicely executed and it sounds ALMOST as good as my Gibson


the nut is plastic and broke the first day I played it for an hour, there are other minor fit and finish nits I could pick but for this price this is a jewel, and contrary to other reviews I've read nothing else on the guitar has needed to be replaced after I've been playing it for two to five hours a day for a good month now

Epiphones must vary quite a lot from year to year and depending on where they were made. I have no way of knowing where this one was made. It's a 2001 and the quality is awesome. If I'd paid a Gibson price I would have sent it right back. But for basically 20% of what I would have expected to shell out for a comparable Gibson, even at the deal prices I usually pay, this guitar is truly impressive. It is solid as a rock (other than the nut, which had to be replaced immediately) and plays better than anything selling for three times the money.

This guitar is much better than I expected it to be. It plays smoothly and only pales in comparison when I pick it up right after playing my Gibson Les Paul. It is much nicer to play than my Squiers and superior to my Mexican Telecaster and Japanese Stratocaster. Pick one up and look it over to satisfy yourself that you're getting a good year for Epiphones and then play it awhile. Great buy for the money.

UTILIZATION

The handle is it nice?
This is a log, and personally, unless you are masochistic, I find it comfortable to perfection, it's soft, it does not cramp the hands. Channel perfect!
Ergonomics is it good (in terms of shape, weight ...)?
This is a Les Paul, so it's heavy compared to a Strat or other guitar in the genre. To play sitting, it is top, it is balanced, it does not take down. As for the game while standing, a good thick strap will do the trick I think. The weight is largely bearable, should not exaggerate as we hear often.
Access to acute (recent freight) is it easy?
So there is not one shred guitar designed for. Access after the 15th box is not easy but doable if you do not have a solo of 15 minutes to play between the 15th and 22nd fret.
Do you get a good sound easy?
Bah ... 4 knobs, a selector, and you be the judge.

Are they adequate for your style of music?
I use it in various musical fields ranging from mild blues to the explosion of metal, and it provides pretty good. Note that here I want accounts perforances mics I'm installing (gibson 490R and 498T). With the original pickups, the sound lacked personality and was not very hot.

The sound of the mics handle is deep, round and warm, and that the bridge is incisive, sharp and more chad (yes!). Super versatile guitar with its own personality. There is no sound that I dislike about this guitar.
And when the sustain is not bad, keep good notes.

How long you use it?
Pil hair a year I think, and I do not get enough of this beauty.
Did you tried many other models before buying it?
I tested the Epiphones (much worse) and Gibson (the wood of the handle is more comfortable on Gibson). If not rich, I rabbatu on it, and it does its job properly.
What is so special that you love the most, least?
Likes: the form (yeah, Les Paul, this is legendary!), Color (the table is beautiful in the light), weight (at least you can feel it), ergonomics, and of course SOUND Finally, its price is really interesting (note that the finish is just perfect on mine, which is not always the case).
I do not like: the original pickups, solder (easy to do again) and mechanical.
How would you rate the quality / price?
Nothing to say, it's cheap and it was a good guitar that can upgrade later.
With experience, you do again this choice?
With experience, yes, I would do this choice without hesitation, with the money keeps flowing, I'd take a gibson les paul supreme (yeah, the legend comes at a price!).

Well, for less than € 1000, you have the equivalent of a Gibson in sound (deuce benchmarks are not the handle pearl! What will I do ...)

The Gibson Les Paul guitars are actually iconic rock 'n roll music as Elvis or the Beatles. You can't flip on the radio did not hear a guitar or a band use this instrument. SOUNDS

The tone of these guitars are basically exactly the same shape and feel. These guitar and we'll get the exact count for a penny tenth of the price with some of the Gibson guitars. When you stick this guitar in front of a good high gain amplifier such as Mesa Boogie or Marshall amplifier than you to get some sweet rock 'n roll tones. These guitars features to public and pick ups with mahogany wood body/neck and a rosewood fret board. It's a pretty standard wood set up just like you find on basically every Gibson electric guitar.


OVERALL OPINION

You should find these guitars for right around $450 new. That's a great price for a budget friendly Les Paul type instrument. These guitars have the same controls as you refund and also to volume control knobs as well as the two tone control knobs. All the features and even the look is basically right down to the Gibson Les Paul guitar. I really recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a decent sounding Gibson Les Paul style instrument who doesn't want to pay the big price tag of an authentic Gibson Les Paul guitar. This is a great alternative for some and many others will appreciate the quality and workmanship that goes into these guitars.

Trs handle massive but enjoyable. I have not had too much OCCAZ to play on this type of race before, but it's really an enjoyable surprise.

SOUNDS

It should rev it when I put other pickups, if not the clear sound rather nice!
for now I use a Mesa recto verb, which gives an excellent clear sound and able .. ain its saturated even with microphones pouraves.

My final config for this guitar as two Alico prey bridge and neck seymour home coupled with a Marshall stack at: Tte 25/50 Silver Jubilee 4x12 + body double. The Slash has given the spitting image!!

OVERALL OPINION

I've had two months and it is really beautiful ... Buy new and I recommend it for everyone.

The Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus is basically the pretty version of the . The guitar features a mahogany body with a mahogany neck, chrome hardware, 24.75'' scale length, carved maple top, optional pickguard, rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, tune-o-matic bridge, binding, two humbuckers, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

The Standard Plus has a figured top, and I must say, they look pretty good. Most of the ones in the shop had some decent figuring going on, and for the price that these were going for, they were fairly impressive. The nut on this model was cut correctly, and it was nice to see that. The frets, however, were fairly haggard. For one, the fret ends were a bit sharp. When you moved your hand up and down the neck, you could feel your hand snag on them. They also should have been releveled and recrowned. The fret access up top is the same as every other Les Paul in that it's awful.

SOUNDS

This guitar had a JB/59 combo installed in it, so I'll be going by those in this review. The JB in the bridge was pretty good for this guitar. You could get some great rock and metal tones going for it. It's a bit too powerful for things like blues, but you can make it work. I know people that play death metal with this pickup, so it is fairly versatile. The 59 in the neck was pretty awesome as it does everything. You can get some warm and fat clean tones or some super singing lead tones just by switching the channels on the amp. It's one of the better neck pickups out there in the Duncan lineup.

OVERALL OPINION

The aftermarket pickups in this really gave the guitar new life. However, they don't come with those stock. You'll want to spend a few bucks and upgrade those. While you're at it, add some locking tuners to help with string install. That should help make tuning more stable. Check for any possible nut and fretwork issues when you buy one.

The finish is correct to do with time, and the color is successful and original.
It is found in Gibson under the name "Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition.

I put 8 / 10 for color if 7 / 10 in terms of features.

UTILIZATION

The neck is very thin but still enjoyable for an electric guitar.
I do not find it heavy and this is due to the design of different stringed model Gibson.
The seating position is not a problem, just use a jack crank.

SOUNDS

The sound is good and we find the next les paul, with beautiful harmonics and sustain the bridge pickup, and a nice grain typed blues side handle. Also nice to play jazz.
The result is relatively modern and versatile styles that I practice.
I play blues, rock and jazz.
I use a Fender tube amp, a Boss multi-effects series GT and some other pedals.
The record is nice.
But I think if you are looking for, or that you need to achieve very good performance, installing new pickups + performance is not worth the expense, because the violin is left for my taste too average. Even if it is "interesting" to upgrade to other mics, it's what I'll do this summer, and I will complete this review.

I tried many styles but not exactly the one I own.

The money is fairly good.

I do not think I will ever be the choice. I will be aiming always a Les Paul because it is what I want, but at Gibson immediately.
