I use it for 6 months, in addition to the function of my keyboard daw SX8 Yamaha.
The value for money is incredible, where other brands then take us for pigeons?
I intend to buy a second console very soon, as well as complement BCR.
It lacks a joystick, I compensate for the time by using one of my keyboard, but I will anyway buy for 50 euros a contour ShuttleXpress in addition to solve this problem and I spend 100% of the mice.
Result for a mini budget, you can have a control surface equivalent to a MackieControl if we add a BCR 2000 and a shuttle, and even much higher with 2 BCF cascade BRC + + shuttle.
Programming console is simplistic in learn mode, and the mode mackie_control can control the main apps, Cubase, Logic, Live8, without needing to program.
I see no reason to spend more, unless you want to impress potential clients a sound studio with a console look more professional, I can understand when making audio services billed.
But for me, as a musician, my job is to impress the ears and not the eyes, then look machines I do not care as long as they all are reliable and efficient, which is very is the case of BCF 2000.

So yes it is plastic, so it looks fragile, so the faders are noisy (clack of the reset is brutal!), So the screen is useless but for 189 euros, we control its DAW so "natural" and intuitive.
Ok, you sometimes have to type and hours of research of all kinds of settings if you want to do something a little personal but once that's settled, what is happiness. In addition, Mackie mode is recognized by most software and reveals the BCF as a control surface, very convenient for a first grip.
At last report the tremendous community around this bike, it's pretty easy to find information and get the full potential of the craft.
I have not tried other models but one thing is sure, I can no longer do without.

The BCF is a usb powered motorized 8 fader control surface retailing for under $200. It has 2 buttons per channel along wit a endless rotary knobs. The BCF2000 comes logic, mackie, and hui control built in and can be programmed to control and midi capable feature in your selected software.

I wanted a control surface to help control Logic and Pro Tools and 8 motorized faders for under $200 is hard not to look at. I purchased this control from Musiciansfriend for $179. After doing some research this control surface got pretty good reviews.

This control surface is really bang for your buck. Motorized fader for under $200 you will not find anywhere else. Expect to pay at least $900 one. Fader responsiveness is good enough to use. Once set up it will take some time to learn since functions aren't listed on the controller, but once you learn them this can speed up your work flow. The size of this controller is good. its 13x11 so it won't take up a lot of room on your desk. Other control surfaces like the mackie and alesis I find rather large.

My biggest complaint is there in no led screens to see which track you have selected in pro tools, in logic this is not a problem because one of the buttons highlights to show selected track. Also this was an absolute pain to get working with Pro Tools. Had to do a lot of downloading extra software and configuring. Once it was set up it was fine though. My biggest second complaint is that the faders are rather noisy. Hearing the motor move the faders is annoying, especially when playing back a mix. Buttons are not labeled so you have to memorize or print out the layout of what buttons do what in what DAW. Buttons are a little too clicky for me. While recording my podcast I always have to go back and edit out the clearly audible click the control surface makes when I'm punching in. If your recording someone not in the same room with you than you will be ok.

Behringer is not known for their build quality but the build quality on the BCF2000 is better than it seems. At appearance it looks all plastic but holding it in person it has some weight and mass to it. All buttons are hard plastic.

Despite the buttons being loud and clicky, loud motorized faders, no led screen showing tracks, and no button layout on the control surface, I still have to give this product a perfect 5. Reason is all those cons can be overlooked because of the price point. Again 8 motorized faders for $179 is a unbeatable deal. If this cost the price of normal 8 fader control surfaces I never would of even considered it. so if you are looking for an inexpensive control surface with 8 motorized faders your only option is the BCF2000, and its not a bad option to be stuck with.

It was my first experience in control surface. I learned a lot with it are even listed abstract was very annoying at times (sorely lacking in displays). It has management options and settings important but how to solve the software is often worthy of the logic of the greatest theories of quantum physics. After 7 years of loyal service (and at the insistence of my husband) I finally decided to move on (I guess he was getting tired of hearing me groan before the keys become recalcitrant) (or perhaps sick of me wasting time trying to understand why the knobs did not respond), (I know, I tend to overuse parentheses). But I do not forget that with this my behringer advanced in the world of computer music would have been even less simple without it.
Finally, if you can not afford or simply do not want to buy you something other than this control surface, nothing of what I have written should dissuade you. It remains for an investment more than moderate an excellent choice. It is far from perfect, but it can work properly and that it is the most important.

the fader alps are quality, a middle-range
J'aprcie the encoder, which has over potentiomtres are indestructible.
Its programing is very simple with an automatic mode (learn) and a manual mode
you can really set anything with.
construction seems solid, provided it does not let under the wheels of a bong
Potentiomtres 8, 20 interuptor, 8 encoders function with puch,
44 possible commands is multiplied by 4 to sries rglages per patch, a total of 32 patches, there is plenty to do.

Behringer offers rglage patches on their website for the main software squenceurs.

problem, the USB part of the console can run on PC under Windows XP, Mr behringer, there are users who use Win 98, see Linux, so consider them ....
