CM Labs MotorMix

I have a Motormix for 4 years.
I use it every single day, for all my activities in music and audio-visual post-production. I use it mainly in Protools, but I sometimes use it with Live or Max / MSP (the configuration outside of ProTools is a bit tedious, if not impossible without a software interface).
I will speak of how ProTools (in fact a kind of HUI compatible with virtually all major software)

A "large" green LCD display (2 lines and 8 blocks of 5 characters)

There is a range of non utiliss 8 buttons in this mode. The names of the tracks are abbrgs of 5 characters in the LCD above each slice.
It then orders the suspension / activation group, the main controls: play, stop, fwd, rewind, automation enable / suspend, plug and undo much sr, window view ...

I particulirement ergonomics, it is not big and trs arises effortlessly on a large analog console or keypad mac prs. The faders are not noisy trs means a 'tock' hand when the fader in the opposite direction quickly.
However, as the faders are not touch, it's pretty hard to catch in a fader automation. We must counter the movement of the fader for the Motormix to say "oh yes, it is the ..." and relaxation of the fader. You need to have 2 hands on Motormix so that when the right wants to catch a little automation RAPD, left the keys apuis automation.

I pay 300 Euros to time by the ads I think c'tait an excellent deal. The surfaces of today: Tascam, DIGI002, Mackie ... are either too Chres are too cheap (digi) or without notch (tacsam) ...
