Behringer Overdrive Distorsion OD100

I am a classic rock and roller. I play in a couple of jam bands that love good rock, not too heavy but definitely not too slow. i've been playing for 12 years.

I bought it for 32.00 dollars on ebay and it was the only item that i won when i woke up the next day.

it gives a typical/standard distortion. It doesn't scream too much so you can play multiple styles by changing the tone and mode levels. I have other distortion pedals but i keep this one for use on songs with a bit of chorus and delay. for the price and sound it is definitely worth it.

it did not fit the bill for a truly heavy sounding pedal. It drives but there is a lot of sonic room that is left to distort. on it's strongest setting it still I've found that only another pedal will do.

Cheap!!!! Made of plastic entirely. this is a pedal that you want to keep up on a table or mounted somewhere that it won't be stepped on or kicked. I know that one wrong move and i'm going to be dealing with a broken pedal.

This is a good, solid pedal. The Tone, and Mode controls allow you to shape your sound into many variations. If you're looking for a inexpensive, yet good sounding pedal, this is the choice for you

This is just a ripoff of the Boss OD-2. It contains both overdrive and distortion, and you can combine the two different sounds with a single knob. There's a level, tone, color and drive knob.

UTILIZATION

Unlike the Boss counterparts, I'm not exactly sure how well these will stand up to touring. Where as the Boss products are known to be able to survive a nuclear holocaust, this pedal is still new. The casing itself isn't too bad, and it seems like it could take some abuse without much of an issue. It's ridiculously easy to set up, and you shouldn't even need to read the manual as to how to run this thing. That said, I have never read the actual manual, so I can't comment as to how well it's written.

SOUND QUALITY

The pedal itself is interesting in that it combines both overdrive and distortion circuits via a unique "color" knob. The color knob allows you to dial in the amount of overdrive or distortion you're looking for, and this is separate from the gain control. The sound is not too bad. It can boost an amp nicely, but I find that each setting is a compromise. The pedal can be a bit boxy sounding in stock form, and that's one of the biggest problems I have with it. When it's on, it has that kind of pedal sound and feel. Some might like it, but I never could jive with it enough to add it to my rig.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're a fan of the Boss OD-2 pedal, you'll enjoy this. It's not built to the same quality as the Boss stuff, but it's available at a fraction of the cost. I'm not a fan of clone pedals like this, but considering they're not made anymore, this is one of the few clones I can forgive.

This is a pedal that can produce two types of loadings: overdrive and distortion.
The quality of fabriquation may at first stepfather lightweight (plastic watch case), but all is well RALIS hand maybe the battery (as I repeat some after, prvoyez of Bics), and the fact that taking the Adapatateur ct is the output jack / amp (interference?).
I play with a battery that did not use, but after the other view, it seems to consume this fast-Last, an investment in a transformer might be desirable ....
The pedal is lightweight and can be quite aisment transports, taking up little space in a rack. The shape of the beast on a t copy of Boss pedals clbres effects.

USE

The manual is also filled with an acoustic guitar, is to say very empty (it just is a brief description of each function). But however, the Gnrale Congig is simple: 4 knobs (one level => volume, tone => equalizer bass / treble, a drive => gain input mode => overdrive / distortion.
We finally find very satisfactory rglages, a little fiddling (do not forget, of course, rgler the equalizer amp properly!)

SOUND QUALITY

It has two potentiometers, one serving rgler gain, and the other choose the type of saturation that you want: overdrive or distortion (I do not advise you to put it background, we obtain a bzzzzz Synthetic cold ...).
Thus, the more you turn the knob call "mode", the closer distortion, even if the change is a little abrupt (about a little after the half.
The sound quality is very good in Gnrale.

NOTICE GLOBAL

It's a great pedal exceptional qualitprix report (I got just under 25 euros new). I highly recommend all beginners and even those a little Confirms (the pros in the MATIRE, and longer met scholarships ^^ prfreront choosing a Boss pedal, but hey this pedal Behringer defends really well!). I play it voil just over two weeks and am extremely satisfied! The only bmols are, I think, very cold sound of the distortion, which tends to syndrome honeycomb (bzzzzzzzzzz!), But with an adapted rglage is no problem me; otherwise there is the battery compartment is open embtant (prvoyez two Bics!) some on this site have prcis the plastic construction seemed to them a bit lightweight and fragile ... We just have to take care of his pedal and not jump on it with both feet and normally , is no problem!

I bought this to test what pedals behringer could do for 25 ... frankly, I'm more used to the effects known as "high end", but the sound of the OD100 is exploitable, especially in overdrive mode. mode distortion is frankly mtallique and cold as possible, like hard rock FM 80's .. puke in my opinion ..

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, the quality-price ratio is good all need ... considering the price ..
I tried the pedals between my Telecaster (with Seymour Duncan vintage) and my fender hot rod, and your exact mode is usable overdrive (100% 50/50 overdirve overdrive / distortion) after s, when the distortion is behringer be dominant sense, help! .. it's cold, small, flat, without PCHE.
So I note this taken care favorably to the price obtained and the overdrive (this said in a transistor amplifier, must be a hell ..)

Briefly, as building a tube screamer or other DIY for little more expensive.
