I needed a pocket recorder better than my cassette dictaphone to capture rehearsals benefits outdoor enthusiasts or concerts.
I had gone to buy a portable MD. Once found the unit price and added an external microphone, I was ready to give up my desire to purchase with the cost ... and I came across a promotion of CNAF where the remote was offered.
To me, these small portable digital recorders were nothing better than a dictaphone. Reading technical Characteristics made me change my mind.

What I like the most is its compactness and ease of use.
What I like least is its battery consumption (a pair of alkaline to ten hours of operation). After it suffices to provide a set of batteries in advance

What I find very useful is the thread to size photograph (Olympus requires) a level camera is much less heavy and bulky than a mic!
Although the internal memory capacity of 2 GB is comfortable, use an SD card can be affrachir the cable to transfer to a PC.
Embedded microphones are directional enough to save a good stereo image of a hand and do not capture the noise ambients (Comments neighbors!). Equipped with their bonette they are relatively protected from wind noise. We then noticed the resemblance between this unit and a famous mouse )

The value for money was very interesting compared to a MD configuration at the time of purchase. Today the MD has disappeared from the market, the choice is made.

this is my first model.

What I like most is the quality and power of the microphones. We can add small appliance, practical, solid, with its cover, its microwave bonnets, its 2 GB of memory, the ability to add a memory card, immediate playback on PC, etc..

Least, this is due to this quality: very difficult to adjust the sound to optimize it. If we are to build on the recording quality (which also takes a lot of memory) is captured at all! I must confess that I have a lot of dog to find the suitable setting to take a snooze for example. (Sound of the repeats a bit hazy, but what is squeaking shoes, sniffles, fingers pat the guitar body or the keyboard etc.. Means any separately!)

To surround sound, this unit is very strong (eg distant birds, the unit provides, but beware, do not be next to the National ...).

Value for money: a little pricey though. This is because not a single minidisc voice recorder (even if one of its uses). The device is powerful, it needs to be tamed. Today, prices fell for a camera of this quality, I'm sure we can find better for less!

With the experience? That's my only experience, so I do not know what to say ... I'm glad you and I do not regret my purchase, so much for me.

* What thing do you like most/least about it?
+ Human size too small as the mini disc or too big as the zoom H4 or tascam 7
+ Very intuitive, very little needed to record
+ USB jack, you plug and presto it's recognized as an external drive to ra minidisc you breathe, you feel free, no boring interface software that spies on us!
2 gigabytes of internal memory + it supports SD card up to 16 gigabytes = 25 hours of Saved by wave 44100 Hz / 16 bit!

* What is your opinion about the value for the price?
a bit pricey even qd approx 400 euros, but a year and a half later prices have fallen and this well in general (I mean qq or model, brand).
* Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?
HHHuuuuummmmm .... not ... but I do not know any other model. Me big black spot, I think, is the ignition time (20 sec. I just do it now) if we want from life is Saved screwed. Otherwise, when you look back, for the same price it was unthinkable to find qqchose as good there as it would be 5 years. Qd is even great.
