I heard so many people rant and rave about this unit that I had to try one. I got it on-line, paying the typical $399 price that is often advertised.

Lots of control over parameters.

I like a fairly hard rock sound but not as hard as Nu-Metal, so for me, I found most of the factory presets unusable unless you like sounding like old recordings. I have a new Les Paul Custom and was looking for a great sounding, "miked" Marshall sound. Most of the presets sounded "right in your face", like you were plugging a stomp box right into the recording console. I was able to go in and configure my own setups and come up with some pretty cool sounds but it took an eternity to get even close to the sound I was after. When it came time to record these customized sounds, I found that the cool sound that I got through the headset jack was not the same as what went to tape.

Seemed well constructed - metal instead of plastic which was nice.

There is a chance that I had a defective unit but in any case, even though it did have some cool features, I didn't think it was $400 worth of cool. I sent mine back for a refund. I guess there is a reason why recording studios still mike Les Pauls played through Marshalls. "Direct in" still has a long way to go.

This is the new POD:
Numrique amp simulator with an LCD screen now.

UTILIZATION

The LCD screen facilitates the rglages paramtres and menu navigation are simple trs.
We can mmoriser of rglages amp configurations and / chaining effects (memory 64).
64 total memory for programs.
Finally it is easy to name them.

The manual in French are friendly and well trs document (photo amp and pedals).

SOUND QUALITY

Spend 2 to POD PODxt is simple. It is true that initially, the sound of XT seemed electrical and digital compared to the sound of POD 2.
In fact the POD 2 fucks treat for the eyes to the point that the purists say that the serious invasive taient, swelling. The distortion amp for silent Hi gain, overpowering.

PODXT is the finesse and refinement.
The 15 rverbes are beautiful. The gain is compared to the standard POD 2.
The effects are beautiful and better than my Boss GX700).

The amps are finally clear sound ralistes:
Defines more hotter than before, more ...
Finally a real Fender Twin Reverb which allows for the sound Dire Straits. Not before.
The Fender Deluxe and the Vox AC 30 TB are trsralistes.

The distorted sounds are more consistent with those dlivrs by the original amps.
One feels a net diffrence between characters of all the amps, they perform all necessary fawn with guitar playing.
Change poistion micro or even have a guitar on his consquence, much more than before.

Some (forum US) have repproch cracking of the numrique (harsh, videos).
In fact we should not overload the input.

To get sound that kills change The argument 'micro virtual miking' (of 4).
Some amps that seem Triqui SM57 microphone with a gain in volume, size and lose Aiges with the SM57 off (apart from the axis).

For résumé: subtlety
It has many more possibilities that are ancestors but at first it is less easy to have the 'big sound'. Refining the rglages then it returns the POD 2 in the 18 meters!
The POD 2 or you say you approach the sound of your idol (or whatever you have in your head) PODXT can take a leap forward in quality.

This effect could be the rack and saw the much more expensive professional quality effects.

OVERALL OPINION

I have my PODxt for 1 month.
I immediately find every day.
560 is expensive but it's not a toy unlike the color of this pair of red ass baboon might suggest!
FYI POD mean bean!

My POD (2.1) I do not miss at all and still be a matter for the price.

My only regret:
The LCD display shows weakness. A vertical black line appears another time. Dj I read a similar default on the forums for PODXT United States but also the Vetta.

UTILIZATION

More complicated than its big brother the first pod of the name, but is still editable. That said there are many more possibilities!

choice of amps, speakers (2x10 ", 2x12", 4x12 etc..), the position of microphones, type of microphones, effects etc..

SOUND QUALITY

Like its big brother
good in the studio for models and other prod album or even a pro
but still very bad in concerts or sound cold and hard stride ears, this with the patch that kills at home ... What do you want?

but I will note this because, as it newer than the pod, line 6 would of course correction!

OVERALL OPINION

Nice little multi-effects with preamp (simulate) that sounds at home (that is)
limited use for registration!
