Fender R.A.D

I needed a small practice amp after my Crate packed it in. I wanted to find an amp with the RCA jacks for plugging in a CD player and one that had a headphone jack. In checking out eBay, I found a Fender Rad Bass Amp that claimed to have 25 watts RMS with 75 watts max. I bid on it and bought it for $100. It arrived from Oregon via UPS. This little amp looks like the day it was made. It looks very much like the Fender BXR 25.



First I love the CD input jacks and headphone jack. The tone on this amp is amazing and it's gotta be more than 25 watts RMS??? Probably not but it sure cranks it out. Again, the tone on this amp makes you think you're playing a tube amp. It's got a Fender Special Design 10" speaker and all of the controls you need to shape the sound you want. This is one cool looking Fender Amp BUILT IN THE USA! Ahhhh.

This little guy rocks, sorry, what is there to not like about it? The speaker does sound like you are pushing it if you crank it up over half, but hey its a practice amp. You could put in a more expensive speaker and even take it to small gigs. It is covered with a short black carpet material that must take a beating considering it looks new. Okay, I just thought of one complaint. It does not have a cord wrap at the back of the amp to secure the cord when you are transporting it...there.



This amp is light, it is built well, and apparently it was built around 1995. For a six year old amp, how can you fault it when it looks new and sounds like a much bigger and expensive amp.



If you are looking for a practice amp, you can't go wrong with one of these. Parts are still available, manuals are still available, they're inexpensive, and they real rock. They look cool and were built in the USA.

It has a combo transistors is low on some very good components (Part amp and distortion prampli) and an 8 speaker fender. "Must dlivrer about 25W, but a few adjustments. There Tone of a button and two types of distortion: a real crunch (I do not use it as metalleu, but it is usable) and the other very little Submitted type blues. the other two modes bright and clean accentuate the bump in the treble. it's a little fender "hot" luxury

UTILIZATION

Getting a good sound is relatively comfortable in clean, it sounds very clear. with a distortion, if we look a the fenderien there anything we can hope, I would not recommend to the metal using a distortion integr.

SOUNDS

The sound is very clean pulls the harmonic distortion jel'utilise a boss, I can learn a great sound, even for a restart with a sm57. I only regret the abscence of reverb

OVERALL OPINION

I have this amp for over 4 years, I do not use it often because I use a more powerful to repeat, but I used to go to my guitar lessons and playing at home alone. With the experience I probably do it again this choice to the blues, but since I'm east I will opt for a metal marshall
